Old Antique Redwing 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock Jug Butter Churn Red Wing
We have this old Redwing butter churn crock to offer in good as found condition. It is marked with the wing and Union Stoneware logo. It has wire handles. No lid and a nice 4" wing. The crock has a flaw on the bottom that looks like it was made this way. Just a hole, small. not a chip. There is a 1" crack that is on the bottom rim that is also a firing crack. Only shallow and not seen inside. This is a good Redwing Churn and is a hard to find piece. It is in good clean condition and is 16 1/2" tall. For sale is an Antique Pickle or Kraut Jug 4/5 Gallon with a Wide Mouth. This is a piece of North Carolina Stoneware circa 1900 made for domestic use. The jug is 8" tall and 5.75" in diameter at the base. It is 2.75" at the opening. The jug is in good antique condition with no real chips and only manufacturing flaws and related ageing defects. The jug still holds water. There are markings on the base but they are indistinguishable either from wear or age. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. The crock is a size 5 gallon and it has a nice salt glaze finish. It’s in excellent condition with no damage. But the bottom has some bulging just from manufacturing. Antique Butter Churn Stoneware 6 gallon Catawba NC Two Style Handle Rare 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. The dash will have to be shipped separate and would be around $15.00 extra. I will refund any shipping costs over my cost for materials. I get boxes free, but nothing else. Williams Davis Brooks Detroit Beehive Crock 1892-1896 No. 5 Crock has broken Handle and is in need of good cleaning. I cleaned it somewhat with a wet towel no chemicals. This is the second or third name of this company. They eventually turned into Bryants. Primarily sold drugs and alcohol in the 1800s. The Crock stands around 17 inches and is around 12 inches round. It is empty and there is no cork. Very rare.

This is an antique crock from my grandmother's house. I'd originally used it to keep my spoons/wisks/beaters together on the counter-top. But have since remodeled so it no longer fits my decorating scheme in my kitchen. There are a lot of chips/nickson the lip/rim, and it's scuffed and scraped up.but would still be perfectly functional to use to store things in on the counter, or anywhere else. Better yet add it to your crock collection and enjoy it! I*think* this holds 1.5-2 quarts, but am not sure. It measures 5.5" tall and 7.25" across. This auction is for an Antique. Primitive, Blue& White Stoneware Butter Crock. The bottom half is white, while the top half and inside has a soft blue color. This is 5.75" diameter and 3.75" tall, making it very displayable on a country kitchen counter or step back cupboard shelf. The butter crock was the normal means of buying butter in the early 1900's. And this is one of the more decorative colors. This is near perfect no cracks. 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock Cobalt Blue 1800's Rare Pattern Antique Pottery NY
This is a 5 gallon stoneware croc marked with an impressed"J. Shepard Jr. Geddes NY" It has a beautiful large multi toned floral design. And handles are in great shape. The piece is solid with lots of character, and has amazing eye appeal. There is a fracture on one side as seen in photo and an epoxy on the inside and bottom done as a repair at some point, but I've always thought it adds character and shows it was used and loved for many years. let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos. There is a hairline fracture(it will be shown in a picture) But it does not affect the functionality of the crock. Comes from a pet& smoke free home. Antique Vintage 5 Gallon Crock Stoneware 2 Tone Labeled G Fox & Co Glazed Brown
This 5 gallon two-toned crock came from an auction in Vermont. It has a label from the G. Fox& Co. Hartford, Conn, see the 5th picture, on the side. It must have been delivered by the G. Fox& Co. I found out the G stands for Gerson who owned this large department store. It said that they made deliveries by wheelbarrow. The crock measures 13" high and 11 3/8" in diameter. There is a chip on the bottom edge, see the 10th picture. There is a crack that starts on one side where the brown turns to tan and runs down to the middle of the bottom. There are 3 indentations on the bottom edge that must have been made during the manufacturing process because they are glazed over. There are some drips marks, see the 2nd picture. There are also residue marks on the inside.
