Antique Stoneware: Crock/jar w/ Cobalt Decoration, 1 Gall?
Beautiful cobalt decorated stoneware crock. It has fabulous decoration which looks like leaves on a vine. It also looks like hearts. It is marked on the front and I believe it to say West Troy Pottery. It measures 7.5 tall and 8 inches across the top. It has a couple of OLD chips on the front and a couple of very small flea bites on one ear. There is also a tight crack on one side. There are lots pf pictures. None of this distracts from the appearance. This stoneware crock is not in mint condition so if you are wanting mint please don't bid. This is an old utilitarian piece and used as such. All sales are final. Insurance is included in my shipping charge. If it seems high. Please don't bid. I have this packed professionally and shipped ups so it gets there in one piece. Ask questions before you bid as I do not accept returns. Thanks ... morefor looking and good luck. Posted with.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fv%7F.rpn36%3E-13ced24df8f-0x103-

Brown with Cobalt Blue Bird Salt Glazed Stoneware Honey Jar Honey Crock
Salt Glazed Pottery Jar/Crock/Cup This is such a cute miniature like piece. I did the best I could to research it but there was nothing to go by. It does remind me of a Rowe Pottery piece? H. GILBERT. GENERAL MERCHANT, MANSFIELD" Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Crock Up for sale is this very cool cobalt blue decorated stoneware crock. Marked"H. GILBERT, GENERAL MERCHANT, MANSFIELD. We can't recall seeing this very charming mark before, and can't seem to find any record of stoneware being sold with this mark, so we're guessing it's at least very scarce if not quite rare. Probably dates to the late 1800's, we're also guessing. We're also not sure, but believe this is either from Mansfield, Ohio or Mansfield, Massachusetts. We invite emails with further information that we can add to this listing. Nicely decorated with a cobalt feather like design below the cobalt washed merchant stamp. And a stamped"2" for a 2 gallon crock above it. Measures about 8 and 3/4 inches tall and 9 and ... more1/2 inches across. There is a crack that begins at the top edge left of the decoration and ends on the base as can be seen in the photos. Otherwise, it appears to be in surprisingly good shape. The only other flaws are in the making glaze pops as can be seen in the photos, one just above the g in general(with a bit of cobalt glaze over it) and then there's one on the interior and two on the back side(each about 1/4 inch across) and some minor imperfections, scratches and wear as to be expected with a utilitarian stoneware piece. Please see photos, and let us know if you need more or need more information. Displays wonderfully! We're offering this beautiful piece of stoneware with a starting bid of only $1.00. Antique Stoneware, Salt-Glazed Brown Crock, Catawba Valley, Carolina Primitive
Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. Looks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots ... morearound the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping to Lower 48 States only. No international sales. Payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me before bidding. In"as found" condition- this item is vintage, and not new. Photos are as important as my written description. Please review all the photos carefully, including at close-up magnification.

HALL Vintage Bean Stoneware w/ Lid & Heat Guard NICE!
Unusual. Clean, Nice! A very charming but totally usable stoneware solid-glazed casserole or bean pot. Marked HALL in a circle on the bottom of the dish. This can go from oven to table using the metal pierced heat guard that will protect you& your table. The bowl& lid measure 7" diameter& is 3" deep. Holds approximately 5-6 cups and is deep brown(almost back! with the lid topped with a white handle which really adds to its unique appeal. The lid appears to be all one piece and both the dish& bowl have very minimal markings on the inside of the rims. The outer finish is in excellent condition with a great luster. I think the heat guard/ring is actually chrome and can be cleaned up to its original shine. I did use a bit of silver cleaner on it and the shine started to come back but my cleaner is not the correct type ... moreto use. No chips. Antique Lord Stoutenburg & Co. Chicago Illinois Stoneware Salt Glazed Crock IL
This is an Antique Lord Stoutenburg& Co. Chicago Stoneware Crock. This is a cool old crock and it really shows it's age. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any information on this company. I did find a bunch of Stoutenburg genealogy information but nothing that led to this business. There are a couple of hairline cracks and one major repair to this crock so please inspect the pictures very carefully. It has a couple of minor chips out of the top lip. It is quite obvious this crock will not hold liquids and cannot be used for canning or sauerkraut but for a collector, it would be a great find as I have yet to see another like it. It measures 10 1/4" tall x 5" in diameter at the top x 6 1/2" in diameter at the base. Thanks for looking! Questions welcome. R. R. P. Co. ( Crown Brand or Robinson Ransbottom ) 3 G. Stoneware Preserve Jar
For your consideration is a R. R. P. Co. AKA Robinson Ransbottom or Crown Brand) three gallon stoneware preserve jar with a lid. This company started in Akron. Ohio as Johnson, Whitmore and Company in 1856. Through a series of mergers, acquisitions, taking on additional partners, etc. it became known as R. R. P. Co. Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company) and was located in Roseville, Ohio. The crown is a pale black and is under the glaze. The interior is glazed with a brown glaze. This quality jar was manufactured using a two piece mold; with the seam being horizotal and approximately halfway between the top and bottom. The handles were skillfully applied. All in all this piece was made conscientously. This preserve/storage jar is approximately 13 1/2" tall and the bottom is slightly more than 9 1/4" in diameter. This preserve/storage ... morejar has 0 chips on the jar itself, however on the bottom of the lid an insignificant flake with a very tight hairline; the hairline is not visible on the top side of the lid. Also there is a crack on the bottom of the jar and I would argue that was caused by the clay not being dry enough when it was fired. The chips on the bottom the jar are glazed over; meaning the chips happened during manufacturing, before the item was fired. Check out my other listings as I combine shipping when practical. This saves the buyer money. The buyer is assured this R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar will be well packaged and shipped promptly. I will try to answer any questions. I'm very easy to get along with, if communication is adequate; I check my email several times a day. I ship worldwide. In some instances, an item cannot be shipped to certain countries. Also the postage is usually higher; sometimes much higher) The best thing to do is a get a quote while the listing is active. This R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar will be shipped by USPS Parcel Post. Shipping for this R.R.P. Co. preserve/ storage jar is $19.91. I prefer PayPal, but if the buyer chooses to pickup this R.R.P. Co. preser

Here are 5 Holiday Cheese Crocks. 1990. 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 Beautiful brown crocks with bails. I have included the rubber gaskets for 3. But most are dried out and should be replaced. Each one has a different holiday picture and is dated on the front. 1990 crock has a small chip on lower outside edge of lid. Crock 1991 has a very small chip on inside edge of lid. 1994 has a smudge in the white transfer picture. 3 have glazed bottoms. 2 unglazed bottoms. Colors vary slightly. I believe these crocks were from Figis as they currently make dated holiday crocks. But the company could not verify these designs. I will also be listing more of these dated crocks up through the year 2010. I am only listing them 5 at a time as they are very heavy to ship. Questions? Please email and thank you for looking!
