NO RESERVE We've used this 2 Gallon Crock Pot as a"Decorator Item" in our home for many years. This Crock does show wear. I show all wear marks in the pictures. One fine crack runs from the top to within 2 1/2" from the bottom. The blue stamp on the side is"smeared" I'm guessing that is a factory defect. On the inside near the bottom. There is a large chip missing of the smooth surface area. The Top Rim Diameter is Slightly"Out of Round" We never noticed this before but as I was measuring the Crock for this eBay listing. Vintage Buckeye Pottery Co. Macomb Ill Crock 1 gal beige maker mark on bottom
Up for auction is a very nice crock. Stamped on the bottom THE BUCKEYE POTTERY CO. MACOMB ILL. This crock was actually quite dirty until I washed it with Dawn, I didn't even know it said any of this! There are no markings on the outside that I can see. I measured how much water this crock holds, and actually it can hold 21 cups of water.to the tip top. Inside measurements are a little less that 6.5 inches, and outside lip to lip measures 7.5 inches. The crock measures a little more than 7.5 inches tall. As you can see by the pictures. There are a few cracks. I do not know true age, my research indicated between 1880's and 1930's. Since these are not something that I collect personally, I am just using a lot of info from the web. This is a gorgeous Garden City Pottery Co Crock. From the factory in San Jose California. The factory started pottery production in 1902 and continued production until 1979. This lovely crock is one of the earlier pieces from this company and has no staining and very little wear. It has no cracks and no chips. The measurements are 13" tall and width is 9" Most have the smaller logo, but this one has the large logo which is hardly seen. A very nice quality crock.

rare antique salt stoneware CROCK no. 6 BY pittsburg pottery co. diamond brand The Pittsburg Pottery Co. Inc. opened its doors in 1913. The first director Fred W. Maxwell of Texas USA manufactured this early period rare clay pot. Initially, this pottery manufacturer ran into difficulty because he was unable to temper the clay so it would not crack during the curing/drying process. The company later discovered the construction of the kiln created the cracks in the clay or mud. In 1918, the plant closed for three years while the new kiln was rebuilt. Only three pottery plants exist in the USA and most of the high quality clay still comes from south Pittsburg today. This rare. Six-gallon crock is heavy-duty, salt glazed stoneware. It has wire handles with red wooden grips. The removable lid has a hole in the center where the butter paddle is inserted and is marked USA and the numbers 5-6. There is a chip and a crack in the lid. There are also some small surface cracks on the barrel and some inner cracking but the integrity of the piece is still solid. This is an old Crock- is 12" tall. And 8-9" in diameter(8 at lip, curving out to 9" in the body) Solid 1/2 inch thick. Weighs a SOLID 11 lbs. Not original lid and 30" dowel. Nice shine, NO chips on the crock, No chips on the lid. No scuffs, no scratches. Nice Piece! Nice milk drip effect on sides. SEE PHOTOGRAPHS. Holds water. No discoloration. No stains. Crock is 16" tall. And 10 inches diameter. Solid 1/2 inch thick. Weighs a SOLID 18 lbs. Has original lid and 30" dowel. Nice shine, NO chips on the crock, small chip on the lid. Has a few scuffs on top, spot here and there. SEE PHOTOGRAPHS. Holds water. No discoloration. No stains. Nice decorative piece. Sorry about the shipping but the crock is heavy and the dowel is 30" and I have to pack in 1.5 cubic feet of bubble wrap and peanuts. We are not CROCK experts. No. 2 Stoneware Crock Butter Churn with Lid. This piece looks very nice and would add to any country home décor. There is a large chip on the outside lip of the opening and a small chip on the underneath edge of the lid. There are also very fine hairline cracks, but nothing major. You are bidding on a 1 gallon straight sided Hawthorn Pottery crock from Hawthorn. PA which measures approximately 7.5 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter. Overall condition is good. Tight 5 inch hairline up the back(see pic) extending about 1.5 inches across the bottom. Crock still rings nicely when flipped with your finger. Three chips. One located on the top rim on backside, one on the bottom edge back side, and a third very small one on the top edge front(see pics) All other small flaws such as glaze pops have been on the crock since fired. Antique Stoneware Pottery Crock Hot Water Foot Warmer w/ Blue Crown RCP Co of NY
This auction is for a vintage hot water foot warmer crock. The crock has a blue crown emblem on the front and is marked"R.C.P. CO OF NY" in blue on the top. It measures approximately 11" long and 5.5" in diameter. The bottom has two"tracks" to keep the crock from rolling when it is laid down. The original cork is inside of the crock. It is in very nice condition with some minor roughness and one popped air bubble on the bottom edge. I believe that the rough spots and bubble mark are original and from the manufacturing process. Creamy white crock with lots of character: Darken coloring from the age. Especially around the handle inserts. Handle is heavy wire with wooden grip. MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 9" HIGH plus a 5 1/2" high handle X 9" in diameter at the top rim and 6 1/4" in diameter at the base. This is a Two Gallon Pot that has decorated my mothers house for decades. For your consideration is a hand turned four gallon crock that was manufactured by The Coffeyville Pottery& Clay Co. of Coffeyville. Kansas. The writing says: COFFEYVILLE POTTERY& CLAY Co. COFFEYVILLE. KANS. This crock is 11 5/8" tall. The bottom has a diameter of 11" There are 0 chips, however in the front and coming down from the top is a very tight hairline 3 1/4" long. The sunflower and the writing below were applied badly at the factory, are indistinct and hard to see/read. Please, carefully examine the pictures; as the pictures are part of the description.
