It has a white glaze and stamped in cobalt blue'Ruckel's Stoneware' mark and'2' for 2 gallon size. Established in 1870 in White Hall Illinois. Ruckel's Pottery was popular at the end of the 1800s and into the early part of the 1900s. It is in great condition and very clean. It measures 9.5" tall and 9.5" in diameter. No glaze pops but there are a few chips on the bottom and a crack on the outer top(see pics) Normal wear from use. Age and storage. Found at an estate sale. Antique Butter Crock Blue & White Salt Glaze Pottery; 1890's
Up for bid is a salt glaze blue and white pottery butter crock. It was made during the 1890's. Most probably in Ohio. It is missing the wire bale, but there is a vintage turned wooden handle that we will provide if you want it. The pottery is in excellent condition, there is an expansion crack on the surface near the knob that occurred when it was made. The design has an American eagle and shield. It is 4 3/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches across.

COLORADO" There is a large cross within the rectangle on either side of the text. The bottom diameter is approximately 4-1/4" it stands approximately 2-7/8" high. My parents had a rabbitry many years ago& a few of these which were used as feeding dishes were put into storage for the past 65+ years. We also have a Lambrecht crock listed separately. Compared to the Lambrecht crocks. This one is heavier& the glaze, paint& pottery are less refined- kind of"funky" looking- there are what appear to be chips at the ... morebase. This auction is for an Antique. Primitive, Blue& White Stoneware Butter Crock. The bottom half is white, while the top half and inside has a soft blue color. This is 5.75" diameter and 3.75" tall, making it very displayable on a country kitchen counter or step back cupboard shelf. The butter crock was the normal means of buying butter in the early 1900's. And this is one of the more decorative colors. This is near perfect no cracks. Vintage Cramer's Dairy - Bellwood, Pa. - 2 Quart Stoneware Pottery Butter Crock
Up for bids is an original vintage 2 quart stoneware butter crock from Cramer's Dairy of Bellwood. Blair County, Pennsylvania. Probably from the 1930's or 1940's but may be older. The crock stands 4 3/4" high and measures 7 1/4" wide across the top rim. It is in very nice condition with light overall age crazing and a couple very light stress lines on the inside of the crock as seen in the last picture that are in the glaze only and do not go into the pottery itself. Otherwise the crock is in great condition with no chips or cracks.

Beautiful Reproduction of an antique Butter Churn/ Crock. I believe it was made in 1990. This makes this beauty almost 25 years old. The hand painted Cobalt Blue country scene on the face of the pot is signed by the artist"DR 90" and in the research I have done on these crocks: DR" is the Artist's initials. And"90" stands for 1990. It is in relatively good shape except for a few small issues. There is a hair line crack that is about six inches long and is located at the top of the crock and travels down the side of it, located just to the left and above the painted scene on the face. The crock does feel very sturdy despite the crack. There is also an imperfection on the inside/ bottom of the cover. I am not sure if it is a chip or just an imperfection that has been there since the birth of this lid. There are ... morevery small imperfections on other places of the crock that are very very normal for any stoneware that is hand made. Stoneware Butter Crock White Pottery w Lid Vintage Antique Made in USA
This stoneware crock measures about 4 1/2 inches high without the lid and about 6 inches high with the lid on. The base and mouth measure about 4 1/2 inches wide. There are two holes on each side where a metal latch had been. I believe it to be an antique crock. The only markings on the bottom are USA and a number stamped on the base: 31381? last of 6th digit is unrecognizable as it appears smeared) It appears to be in very good shape with the only condition issues being on the underside of the lid with a couple minor rough spots. The crock itself is free of cracks. Chips or breaks. Acquired at an auction. It is a very cute piece.

Primative Butter Churn Pottery Stoneware 6 gal Catawba Two Style Handle 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. Early 20th c. Louisville Indian head Logo Pottery Butter Churn Crock #3 NR
Very nice turn of the century Louisville Pottery Indian Head Logo#3 butter churn. It measures 13.5" tall and about 9.5" in dia. in the middle. Has a masher with handle. 2 applied handles in which the top is looped and the bottom is cupped. The lid has a few small hairlines. The churn has a couple of small areas which look like hairlines but probably occurred during firing. Payment within 3 days of auction. coeitimmmy

2 Vtg Cheese/ Butter Crocks Wire Bale Hinged Lid Pottery Stoneware
2 really nice cheese/ butter crocks. One is brown and 5 1/4" tall without lid on. And 5" in diameter. Brown crock does have some chips around the bottom. see picture) Not sure how old this one is. The beige one is 3.5" without the lid& 4.5" in diameter. There is a date on the bottom July 17, 1975. Both have the rubber piece, wire bail for locking the lid. Check out my! Lot of 5 lidded crocks. 4 are the same size and one is a little larger. All are in good condition. 4 of the 5 have the rubber seal. There is some writing on the bottom of these.
