Antique,ceramic,1890's Cold Cream cosmetic crock jar pot lid
You are bidding on an antique. Ceramic, under-glaze transferred cosmetic Jar or"pot lid" as they are known. This little item dates to between 1870-1914. That is the period that we know this design was used by th is compan y of Atkinson's of LONDON. As shown in the pics. The jar displays quite nicely despite an inner flange chip which encroaches slightly to the outer side of the flange(please see pics) some slight burial stain shows on the jar. But not overly so. It has the#4 that is easy to see and what appears to be the letters Qt to it's right. The second picture show a white place where the bail is attached. This is NOT a chip, but a flaw in the application of the glaze. It is 7 1/4 inches tall without the lid. It measures 10 inches across the widest part(including the handle) The body is 8 1/2 inches across without the handle. The lid is 5 inches wide and the knob is 1 1/8 inches across. I boug ht this cute litt le bean pot at an estate sale and have kep t if for awhile hop ing to learn something about it. Maybe you can help. It measures 4 inches across the fat part with a 2 inch op ening and 2 1/2 inches tall. It has a beautiful pu rplish hue to the gla ze. Antique Stoneware Ironstone Pot Crock With Lid Hand Painted Rose-Illegible Mark
Antique Ironstone/Stoneware Hand Painted Pot/Crock With Lid Illegible Maker's Mark- This is a nice old hand painted ironstone pot or covered container. With an illegible mark that I wish someone could help me identify. I've looked through every antique pottery mark I could find. But couldn't find this one. It appears to be written in English because one of the words in the center circle is clearly'ware' The pot is 4 1/2" tall and 6" to the top of the lid handle when the lid is on. It is 5 3/4" in diameter at the widest opening and the lid is 5 1/8" in diameter. The rose motif is clearly hand painted with a pearly. Iridescent glaze over it. Some of the areas at the bottom of the circles with the roses have a purplish hue. CONDITION It's in very nice condition for its age with some discoloration around ... morethe inside lip that isn't protected by the glaze.this is of both the pot and lid. There are a couple of minor chips. Or crazing under the pot. There are minor white spots on the lid handle. I'll say now that I believe it's ironstone. But it may be stoneware. USA 2 Quart Brown Double Handle Bean Pot with Lid Shiny, Nice & Clean
This is a vintage 2 quart size. Shiny brown glaze, bean pot with lid. It is marked on the unglazed bottom"U.S.A. The pot measures 6 1/2" tall to the top of the lid finial. It is 8" wide from the outside edge of the handle to the outside edge of the handle on the opposite side. It is very clean and shiny and has no chips, cracks, or crazing but does have an area where the glaze is very light on the rim and two areas of glaze flecks, areas that had air bubbles trapped underneath the glaze during the firing process that have flecked off, one area on one handle and the other area is on the side of the pot. There is also a small nib of excess clay trapped in the glaze near the unside rim of the lid. Nice useable addition to your collection. Buyer prepays + shipping via parcel post because of the weight. Description: Here is a nice Robinson Ransbottom one-handled bean pot or crock. This isn’t the typical brown over cream color. This example has a nice carmel color over cream.The lid could be a replacement as it almost looks like a mix of brown and black. The lid is a perfect match to the crock. There is what could be a small chip under the lid but I think it was a casting flaw. Judging from the nice color inside. I do not think that anything was ever baked in this crock, especially beans. look at all my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge color and condition for yourself. It would have had a clear glass lid held in place by a rod through two off the three holes in the lip. The third hole, slighty lower in the lip, is a drain for fluid duing the filling/sealing process. They came in two sizes and solid brown, like yours and two tone, brown and tan.

Antique Crock BEAN POT, small churn Cold Paint Decor, w LID Exc Cond
Very nice creamware pottery crock churn has it's lid and is in very nice condition. There are a couple of minor chips to the bottom edge. And an indent from production at the top. The cold paint is in average condition I guess, for the age, but still very bright and cheery. This piece came from a long time East Tennessee estate. And I can't find anything else quite like it to compare it to, other than pieces that are shown as cookie jars and do not have the handle indents. Any hints as to origin are appreciated. Extremely old clay primitive pot with lid. Found at estate sale. Possibly African. All hand etched. Please look at all the pictures. They are part of the description. The clay is thin and light in weight. Pot measures approximately 10 1/2" in height and 7" in diameter. It stands on 3 legs. No cracks. No chips. 2 small flakes on the top lid rim. Remarkable condition for something this old. If anyone can give me any info on this pot I would greatly appreciate it.

Vtg REDWARE BEAN POT Societe Industrielle EARLY GLAZED CROCK 2 Handles #12 + LID
Offering a very early Redware Bean Pot. It is marked on the inside of the lid"Societe Industrielle" a star Logo and another name I can't make out- ends with espisam) and the number 12. Same marking on the side of the pot. On one side of the pot it is also marked Made in(another word I can't make out) Please enlarge the photos for better detail. The pot and lid are in very clean condition. Photo 8 shows an old chip on the inside of the lid rim. Looks to have been there a long time. The lid measures 9" across the center. 4.5" tall and 8" across the bottom. The inside of the pot has a very high glaze as does the top of the lid. You can see the rings of pottery clay around the bottom- light smudges and brown ring around the bottom. NO cracks. The handles are also very clean and tightly fitted to the pot. Antique Stoneware Bean Pot, 4qt, Handled Jug with Lid and Rare Marking
This antique bean pot has so much artisan charm. I have been unable to find another one like it. Research suggests that it is from the late 1800's around Chester county PA. It is a three toned brown glaze, with its original lid. The only damage are a few chips to the lid.
