Available for sale is quite uncommon and unusual stoneware flower pot. It has the same look and feel of stone crocks. The container is one piece with an attached drip under plate. The pot has great eye-appeal. There is a mark on the bottom that I cannot quite make out. It could be a crown- see picture. The flower pot measures 6.25" in height. 6.5" diameter at rim, 5.25" diameter base.

The crock has old chips on inner lip but a lid would still rest on top if you could find the right size. There are also imperfections on bottom that were probably done in the making. It has very solid lug handles, a prominent rim and double incised lines 2-1/4" down from the top. The interior is a dark brown Albany slip. The condition is solid and untouched, without hairlines, cracks or repairs. 3 Gallon Salt Glaze Crock Midwestern Molasses Dispenser Circa 1880's This was a very functional piece of stoneware in its time with the spigot. You do not see these often with the spigot. VERY RARE Its believed the crock was placed in a wire bin and used as a dispenser. Very cool! This is believed to be Red Wing crock. Cannot confirm one hundred percent. It does have a crack starting at the top of the open end of the crock. A small chip is also missing where the crack originated from. Unfortunately 1 time in 130 years the crock was set down wrong and caused the crack. There is another very small chip which is shown in the pictures. Other than the couple of spots this is in great condition. It is clean overall with the darker color on the inside. Crock will be packed with extra care. Vintage or antique stoneware pottery tea coffee pot kettle old teapot with blue
I was unable to find a similar item online so am not sure as to the period this was made at all or what kind of glaze was used. Also I could not find any others that showed the same mark on the bottom. The spout looks similar to a batter jug spout. This probably had a wire handle at one time. Please feel free to message me with any info if you know anything about when. Where, who made this or what kind of glaze this is. There is a little chip at the base which is pictured and a small one on the top of the rim which you may be able to see in the last picture. It is the bottom left on the top of the rim on the top of the pot. The lid seams small for this pot but not ever having seen one like this before I don't know if that is normal or if it is the original lid or not. The true color of the pot may be different in person than it appears ... morein my pictures. The only cleaning done to this pot was a quick wipe. About 4.75" tall including the lid. The bottom is. 4& 7/8th inches across. There are artistic imperfections that are original from when it was made(some sloppy glaze work on the inside for instance) It is possible that not all flaws or characteristics will be described so please look closely at all the pictures.
