ANTIQUE- VINTAGE- Brown Glazed Bean Pot This is a Vintage Bean Pot. Which easily holds a gallon of liquid. There is a stamped mark on the bottom. It has the#4 that is easy to see and what appears to be the letters Qt to it's right. The second picture show a white place where the bail is attached. This is NOT a chip, but a flaw in the application of the glaze. It is 7 1/4 inches tall without the lid. It measures 10 inches across the widest part(including the handle) The body is 8 1/2 inches across without the handle. The lid is 5 inches wide and the knob is 1 1/8 inches across. Also a little bubble must've been in the glaze as there is a little hole with missing glaze on one panel. Finally along the rim there are places that look like the glaze got worn off. This Is a 1 Gallon RRP Co. crock from Roseville Ohio. The crock stands about 8" tall and has a diameter of about 7 1/2" There is a cobalt blue crown on the side of the crock with the number 1 in it. The bottom of the crock says"RRP CO. ROSEVILLE OHIO USA" the condition of the crock is excellent. There is not a chip in it anywhere and the glazing looks good. Look at the pictures. Up sale is a very nice vintage 6 gallon salt glaze hand turned crock stoneware. The inside has the brown slip interior, and the hand turned rigid( see picture) The croc k is in very good cond ition. Ther e are two very small chips on the inside top rim o f the crock( see picture) And one small chip on the outside bottom rim. On the left handle side( see picture) There are no cracks, the salt glaze clay is beautiful, the crock has elephant ear handles, and two incised lines going around the crock at the handles area( see picture) The design of the crock is just wonderful, it is a cobalt blue eagle with spreading wings, the wing spand is 8" long, the eagle is standing on a very nice cobalt blue design ... morewith the word E PLURIBUS UNUM, also in cobalt blue, this word is found on the back of a dollar bill, the word is Latin, the word mean"out of many" under the eagle design, at the bottom of the crock is more cobalt blue design, it is the number 6 the gallon of the crock, inside blue cobalt design very nice( see picture) It is nice to see a 6 gallon crock with the eagle design, usually find it in a 3, or 4 gallon size, the cobalt designs are ver y vi brant. Vintage Bean Pot. I can't say for certain that this is Redwing, so please come to your own conclusions. I am only guessing by the way the bottom is designed. Stands 6" high. Across the top from handle to handle is approx. 8" There are some kind of markings on the bottom, but I cannot read it. Pot holds 2 quarts. No chips or cracks! In very good used condition! Vintage One Quart Salt Glazed Crock- Nice! This is a wonderful old one quart crock that is in very good condition. There are no defects except for a manufactures' marks under the glaze. I tried to photograph this so check photos. This is 5 1/2" tall x 5" wide and has a salt glaze. It is a lovely decorator piece but it is still a useful item. As well. It has some small nips on the lip edge ... morealso visible in the photos. It has the hand painted blue cobalt decorations and is very symmetrical. A very nice piece of Southern Americana. This beautiful crock measures approx. 10 3/4" H X 12" wide including handles and Approx 8" round on top. There are no cracks or crazing. Nice Antique Vintage Red Wing Union Stoneware 2 Gallon Oval Over 4" Wing Crock
This is a nice antique Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold markings and 4" wing. There are no cracks and little other damage, most of which looks factory(there are a few dings or burst bubbles on the inside and a few small chunks of clay and glaze missing along bottom edge on the sides next to extra chunks of clay and smudged glaze, shown in photos) The only significant after-market damage I can find is some dark spots of sticky residue on the bottom, shown in the photos. The crock measures about 9 1/2" H x 9 1/2" in diameter. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping. I have another 2 gallon like this one, identical in size, color, markings, etc. and they look fantastic together. The price is a little lower on that one because it has a couple hairlines. Vintage Crockery Container With Wire Bale-Smaller And Heavy-Nice Piece
This piece is very nice for displaying-attractive and in great shape. I'm sure there was a lid at one time because of the bale. But no longer. You may have one to fit it, but if not, it's still a fine piece to display-or use for other purposes. We found it at an estate sale, so we had hopes of finding the lid, but failed to do so. The container is a little less that 5.5 inches tall. The bottom is about 4.75 inches in diameter, and the top is over 3.25 inches in diameter. The bale sticks up a bit less than 1.25 inches. There are about three imperfections on the bottom rim, one or two of them may be factory flaws. However, they're pretty minimal and have very little effect on the appearance. I tried to show you this in the pix that there are several factory"flaws" in the finish, which seems to indicate the piece is fairly ... moreold. Also, there are a couple of small areas that seem to be"crazed" also an indication of age. It's heavy, obviously made to last. I'll give you the best shipping rate I can find. Questions are welcome. HALL Vintage Bean Stoneware w/ Lid & Heat Guard Brown Creme Crock NICE
Unusual. Clean, Nice! A very charming but totally usable stoneware solid-glazed casserole or bean pot. Marked HALL in a circle on the bottom of the dish. This can go from oven to table using the metal pierced heat guard that will protect you& your table. The bowl& lid measure 7" diameter& is 3" deep. Holds approximately 5-6 cups and is deep brown(almost back! with the lid topped with a white handle which really adds to its unique appeal. The lid appears to be all one piece and both the dish& bowl have very minimal markings on the inside of the rims. The outer finish is in excellent condition with a great luster. I think the heat guard/ring is actually chrome and can be cleaned up to its original shine. I did use a bit of silver cleaner on it and the shine started to come back but my cleaner is not the correct type ... moreto use. No chips. Cracks or crazing- this piece would be great in a vintage kitchen collection!
