This auction offers a wonderful antique stoneware crock with a bail wire handle and it's original lid. Overall the crock is in great conditon for it;s age. There are some flaws such as a small chip on the top rim of the crock. And inner rim of the lid. Ware along the top rim of the lid and handle. A small crack on the side of the crock. We have pictured all of these flaws, so please look at the photos before bidding. All and all this antique is in great condition. It is approx. 11" high from the top of the handle to the bottom. Hardly ever see one with lids anymore. The spout has some chips that almost look like glaze misses. The top is a slightly different color but could have been glazed at a different time. Nice etched design on it but unmarked. Almost 11" tall with lid. I thought I took a picture with the lid, will have to add it later. Grrr. old age strikes again! PLEASE SEE MY PHOTOS. USA 2 Quart Brown Double Handle Bean Pot with Lid Shiny, Nice & Clean
This is a vintage 2 quart size. Shiny brown glaze, bean pot with lid. It is marked on the unglazed bottom"U.S.A. The pot measures 6 1/2" tall to the top of the lid finial. It is 8" wide from the outside edge of the handle to the outside edge of the handle on the opposite side. It is very clean and shiny and has no chips, cracks, or crazing but does have an area where the glaze is very light on the rim and two areas of glaze flecks, areas that had air bubbles trapped underneath the glaze during the firing process that have flecked off, one area on one handle and the other area is on the side of the pot. There is also a small nib of excess clay trapped in the glaze near the unside rim of the lid. Nice useable addition to your collection. Buyer prepays + shipping via parcel post because of the weight. Description: Here is a nice Robinson Ransbottom one-handled bean pot or crock. This isn’t the typical brown over cream color. This example has a nice carmel color over cream.The lid could be a replacement as it almost looks like a mix of brown and black. The lid is a perfect match to the crock. There is what could be a small chip under the lid but I think it was a casting flaw. Judging from the nice color inside. Great old covered butter crock with bail handle. This crock measures 7 3/4" in diameter and 5 3/4" in height to the top of the lid. It is made of a yellow clay with a blue/gray salt glaze textured body and raised blue floral design. The number 3 is embossed in the rim of the base just above the floral design(see photo#2) It is in fine condition having no chips or cracks in base or lid. Antique Stoneware Crock LID ONLY w/Button Handle Brown Glaze Ribbed 3,4,5 Gal
Pleased to offer this beauty of a crock lid. I am not sure which crock maker produced this. It has a wonderful button handle with decorative embossing on it and ribbed pattern around it. Nice brown glaze center on top and interior. Clay exposed on top appears yellow. Embossed with a"3" 3 Gal) but it would possibly work on a 4 or even 5 gallon crock. I had it on a 5 gal and it covered opening. Just didn't extend to outside edge. Check measurements for your crock. PLEASE NOTE: The brown glaze had a white film on it in places(almost like salt or tainted water got on it) I cleaned and applied Linseed oil(not greasy) which restored it's beauty. In the future it may require a re-treatment of oil or polish. This small vintage light beige crock stands about 7 1/8” high and is approx. 4” in diameter across the base. It originally had a top and handle– the holes are visible where the wire handle attached. The holes do not go all the way through the side. The piece is in very good condition. With no chips or cracks. There is some light crazing of the glazed surface. Vintage Early 30's Stoneware Pottery Glazed Crock,Metal,Wood Black Handle,Lid
Vintage 1920's/1930's or earlier crock jar. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 6 1/8" outside diameter at top. The capacity looks like 1- 1 1/4 gallons. It is a heavy thick wall salt glaze glazed stoneware stone ware pottery jug with lid. Metal bale handle and wood wooden black handle grip in excellent condition. The bottom is unglazed. The inside is glazed. The crock displays beautifully and shows no damage at all with the exception of some normal use wear on the unglazed top rim. This is a very well made heavy, thick walled crock. This is a large heavy butter churn with an incised 4(4 gallon? but there are no other markings. Churn stands approx 15" high x 10" wide. And outer rim is 8" inner rim opening 6 1/2" The wooden paddle pole is pretty old, disc area is a little warped, and you can see some splits in the wood but is definately old! This stoneware crock lid measures 10" in diameter- see picture that shows the underside to see measurements of the lip. It is heavy stoneware- weighs 2 1/4 pounds. There is a 3" hairline crack(it's tight) from the edge. There is some splitting of the glaze under the handle. Antique/Primitive Lard Crock W/ Orig. Lid & Wooden Handle
Up for auction is this Antique/Primitive Lard Crock with original lid and wooden handle. This item is fresh out of an old farmhouse. Measures 8" high by 7" wide. Has nice brownish patina in glaze finish. Crock is in nice condition with exception of chip out of handle of lid and 2 very small chips on bottom edge of crock. There are also a few spider hairlines inside crock which don't go through to outside. Has original black wooden handle which is in perfect condition. Inside of crock is very clean.
