Antique 9-1/4" White Glazed Crock/Tureen Lid w/Design 9-1/4" white glazed cover or lid with knob and concentric ring. The inner ones with scalloped edges. Underside has an inner ring that measures 6-7/8" in diameter. Nice simple design. This is not bright white, but an aged white that has gray undertones to me. There are the usual slubs and imperfections from the glazing process, a couple of small darker areas. Nice condition overall. This is probably a bit small to be a crock lid and too fancy a top. I would sooner think that it's a soup tureen lid or something similar. This will ship in a Medium Flat Rate Priority Box. The P&H listed includes mandatory insurance on this breakable just to be safe. Please note, if you've been watching this listing, that I have amended the measurements. The original measurements ... morewere taken with a dressmaker's tape measure which measured larger than my second measure using a yardstick. Cleaning out my cabinets and discovered this crock tucked away in a box. It measures 8" tall. 5' opening.6" total diameter of top opening.Excluding the handle, the circumference is 28"The handle is another 9" long and is 2 1/2 inches from the crock.There are no chips or crazing on this crock. It can both serve as a jug or a storage crock.It weighs about 6 1/2 lbs as is before packaging. I have had it now for well over 10 years and it was originally purchased in upstate NY at a tag sale. It really is a nice looking piece.

Vintage Or Antique 7" Dark Brown Glazed Stoneware Crock-Wide Mouth-No Lid
This dark brown vintage/antique glazed stoneware crock has an interesting shape. Different from most. It stands 7” high. Is 5 7/8” across the bottom and 4 1/2” across at the top opening. It is in very good condition. There is one small chip at the base. Almost invisible unless turned upside down. There is an interesting effect on one side where it looks like the glazing was applied unevenly. With some of the stoneware surface still showing through. There is no lid.

It's in excellent condition. It is more white than tan as the pictures show. There are two small chips in the inner rim of which one is original to the lid. Buy it that way! NO RESERVE!

NO CRACKS, ONE 1/8" CHIP NEAR RIM, NO CRAZING THE FOLLOWING IS AN EMAIL RECIEVED FROM A FELLOW EBAYER: This crock was made by Sherwood Brothers pottery in New Brighton PA between the late 1890's- through the 1930's. They were referred to as packing jars. Commonly used for olives. The jar would have had a wire/wood bail handle attached to the two ears on the jar. It would have had a clear glass lid held in place by a rod through two off the three holes in the lip. Wonderful early 1800s WEIR#4 1 gallon antique stoneware crock features a patented iron bale and stoneware lid. This heavy stoneware"jar" was used for canned foods. Likely put away on some rural farm, and probably in the root cellar. Romantic notions aside, these jars, full of preserved goods, were essential for survival during the winter months for a 19th century farm family. Glazed in a putty color, this jar's finish crazed so long ago, that it looks like a Raku pottery piece, for a lovely effect. The wire bail is rusty, and there are factory flaws and a couple of"owwies" but nothing serious. The number 154 is impressed into the bottom. The lid reads(as best I can tell) THE WEIR, PAT'D APRIL 18TH 1881, and then more that I cannot make out at all. A great old piece! In remarkable shape for its age and usage; there ... moreare a number of very small chips on the lip of the jar. As well as several factory flaws and glaze misses. The only real damage is a spot that looks like an hard-boiled eggshell when it gets hit; it dents and the shell cracks, but doesn't break. See photos. No damage anywhere that I can see. This small vintage light beige crock stands about 7 1/8” high and is approx. 4” in diameter across the base. It originally had a top and handle– the holes are visible where the wire handle attached. The holes do not go all the way through the side. The piece is in very good condition. With no chips or cracks. There is some light crazing of the glazed surface. Beautiful stoneware cake crock WITH lid. The cobalt is beautiful on this. 10 3/4" by 10 3/4" 6" tall This has had it's share of use and does have some issues. Chips. Some large, and a crack on one side going down onto the bottom of the crock and also running sideways off of it. See 4th pic. chips and thin tight cracks on lid. The lid was on this when I purchased this several years ago and I am assuming it is the original.it fits. Old metal wire band around crock apparently stabilizing it. Vintage 1920's/1930's or earlier crock jar. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 6 1/8" outside diameter at top. The capacity looks like 1- 1 1/4 gallons. It is a heavy thick wall salt glaze glazed stoneware stone ware pottery jug with lid. Metal bale handle and wood wooden black handle grip in excellent condition. The bottom is unglazed. The inside is glazed. The crock displays beautifully and shows no damage at all with the exception of some normal use wear on the unglazed top rim. This is a very well made heavy, thick walled crock. Antique Salt Glazed Butter CrockWith Lid Outstanding!!!
There is no reserve on this beautiful salt glazed stoneware butter crock. Up for auction is this beautiful blue 19 th c. butter crock purchased from a recent estate sale. It is a large and substantial piece with the original lid. The top has a recessed button lid that fits securely over the rim groove on the bottom. The design on the bottom has the word”BUTTER” in relief and it is surrounded with a beaded design. Flanking the label are clusters of what look like beaded cherries or apricot designs. The ornamentation goes all the way around the bottom. The condition of this piece is pretty amazing. Especially given the age and that was a utilitarian object. The snap-in bale handle is missing and there is a tiny hairline on the inside about ½” down from the rim. It does not go through and is hardly noticeable. There are some small“pops” ... moreand some minor glaze misses. But we think you will agree that it is in very good condition. We will pack carefully box in a box to insure safe delivery. Offering a very early Redware Bean Pot. It is marked on the inside of the lid"Societe Industrielle" a star Logo and another name I can't make out- ends with espisam) and the number 12. Same marking on the side of the pot. On one side of the pot it is also marked Made in(another word I can't make out) Please enlarge the photos for better detail. The pot and lid are in very clean condition. Photo 8 shows an old chip on the inside of the lid rim. Looks to have been there a long time. The lid measures 9" across the center. 4.5" tall and 8" across the bottom. The inside of the pot has a very high glaze as does the top of the lid. You can see the rings of pottery clay around the bottom- light smudges and brown ring around the bottom. NO cracks. The handles are also very clean and tightly fitted to the pot. Antique Salt Glazed Butter Churn Wood Lid and Dasher This is an absolutely beautiful antique pottery salt glaze butter crock/ churn. Crock measures Dimensions(all are appx) Height top of handle to base = 41 inches Height of crock = 16 1/2 inches Width of crock = 33 inches Opening = 10 inches. It comes with Wooden Lid which I am not sure if original and a wooden dasher. The only flaws noted is a hairline crack on the base of churn. There are no manufacturers marks that I could find so I'm not 100% sure of the maker- churn is very similar to the Red Wing churns I have seen. I bought this butter churn from an antique mall over 30 years ago and have taken precious care of this piece but is now time to sell. This is a used Small Glazed Brown Ceramic Cheese or Butter Crock with a Bale Wire Locking Lid. The crock is in good condition. There is no rubber seal. The top has two small dings in the ceramic. One is on the outer edge. The second is on the inside of the outer rim where the lock hits the lid. The lock works fine. There are no chips in the base. There are some small flaws in the ceramic. Minor pitting from the glaze and a few areas where the glaze flaked off and it is dark. But no chips, hairlines, or cracks. No major damage. The crock measures 6 1/4" in diameter and 4 1/8" tall.
