We are listing today for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century Pennsylvania Stoneware Saltglazed Cobalt Blue Striper Design 1 Gallon Crock. This crock is in Excellent Condition with1 very minor surface crack that starts at the outside of the top rim and goes down the front to the 1st blue stripe. This could possibly have happened during the making of this crock. There are no chips. No other cracks, and or repairs. The crock is 100% structually sound, rings true, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the exceptional condition of this piece. There is as well areas on the bottom and the base where the glaze was completely missed, showing the red clay. The crock measures 10" tall x 5 3/4" at the mouth x 5 7/8" at the base and weighs approximately 5lb 10oz. The crock features a lovely free hand 3 stripe design ... moreon the front. 10 Gallon Antique Crock
This Crock seems to be in very good shape. I could not see any cracks or chips. It does have a couple spots of what seems to be latex paint on it. I scratched at one of them with my fingernail and the paint started coming off. So it should clean up nicely. The pictures are of all sides, I rotated the crock as I took them, so you can refer to them for the condition of the crock. It has a picture of a shield with a 5 leaf clover or flower on it with the number 10. It will be packed well and marked fragile glass before shipping. GREAT DISPLAY PIECE. NOT SUITABLE FOR FOOD BECAUSE OF A THIN"Y" SHAPED CRACK IN BOTTOM. It could possibly have another 1/2 moon shaped one on the bottom but it may just be the rustic coloring. Either way. It does not show from anywhere. This belonged to my Husband's Mother(who married in 1918)She purchased it new, sometime before 1934. My husband who is now 83, remembers it from way back when he was a child. It has resided on the step of our enclosed patio in our smoke free home since 1987. THE PICTURES DO NOT SO IT JUSTICE. But as you can see, it has a 6 on it and has wonderful rustic color variations. Up for auction is a antique super large 10 gallon stoneware crock. This crock is super heavy and in ok/good condition. There are a few hairline fractures as shown in the picture. I do think this crock was repainted because I can see paint runoff. I also think this pentagram may be also added on. This crock is made just like the crown maker would make it so I think it may be a crown brand because I can not find a brand with a pentagram on it. You may know more about this crock than I do. Vintage Antique Brown 6 8 10 12gal. Gallon Crock Lid RARE Red Wing western ?????
For auction I have an antique brown Crock lid. The lid is almost perfect condition with no cracks but one small chip. Only on the inside. You may see other imperfections but there from the factory. I dont know what pottery company made this lid because I can't find any markings. Possibly a red wing, fort dodge or western. As far as what size it fits i cant tell you for sure im guessing 6 8 10 or 12gal. Best thing to do is measure your crock then look at where I have my tape measure laid out on the lid and see if you get a close match. Long as its close it will most likely work for you. Beautiful T.F. Reppert Antique Crock Measures 10" tall. 6" across on the bottom. Believe it's one gallon. But am not certain and obviously didn't want to fill it with anything to check. please refer to measurements. Dark gray color with navy/black writing. Front has the logo: T.F. REPPERT GREENSBORO. PA with clover, and leaf/floral decal(see photos) Logo measures 7" across, and 4" tall. The crock is in excellent condition. Especially considering it dates back to the 1880's, or prior. TF Reppert closed, and changed to Williams& Reppert in 1886. There is a hairline crack that runs vertically. On the back side. runs 7.5" long, and over the rim. At the bottom of the crack, it splits and disappears. Again, see photos. I turned the crock around, ensuring everything was photographed. Bold Antique Red Wing 10 Gallon Union Stoneware Crock w/ Bail Handles
This is an antique 10 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold markings including a red 4" wing, union oval, and patent date on one side by the handle(Dec. 21st, 1915) There is a wire band around the top that has some rust on it. It can be removed by unscrewing it where it connects on the side. Damage includes a hairline from the top edge that runs about 2/3 of the way down the side of the crock, a short hairline on the bottom edge, and a couple tiny chips on the top edge that are not noticeable. There are also a few pink crayon marks on the top edge that could probably be removed. The bail handles are in good shape, but the wires are slightly bent and have a little surface rust. The crock measures 16" W x 15" H and will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

This is an excellent antique 10 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with very little damage and nice markings including a union oval and red 6" wing. There is a tiny flake on the top edge. Shown in the photos, and a faint hairline or mark on the inside(visible on the outside surface) shown in the photos. There is some surface rust on the metal wire of the bail handles and the wooden parts have some heavy wear along the edges. The crock has a patent date of December 21st, 1915 marked on one side by the handle. The crock measures 16" H x 15" W. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

NICE BOLD Antique 10 Gallon Red Wing Union Stoneware Crock w/ Bail Handles
This is a fantastic antique Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold markings(some of the boldest I've seen) including a large 6" red wing, union oval, and patent date of Dec. 21 1915 on the side by the handle. The crock is in good condition with only one faint hairline on the top back edge and one chip on the side bottom edge, both shown in the photos. There is also a small, shallow factory crack on the inside bottom surface that happened during firing and does not go all the way through. The bail handle wires have some surface rust and both are slightly bent. The wood on the handles are in good condition with faded paint, but no major cracking or wear. The crock measures 16" H x 15" W. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

1850-1899 J.Fisher&Co Lyons NY Antique Stoneware Crocks 12 inch and 10 inch
NOTE: There is a hairline crack and a small chip on each piece(see photos) The smaller crock has NO markings of J.Fisher and Co. The weight of the larger crock is 19 lbs and the smaller is 9 lbs. With shipping materials the combined weight will be quite expensive to ship probably $50+ so take that into consideration when bidding. HISTORY: Jacob Fisher immigrated from Germany in 1853 and married the daughter of John Burger Sr. who was operating the Rochester branch at the time. Fisher had worked for Burger at the Rochester branch since 1863. Fisher teamed up with George Lang. Who was also a son-in-law of John Burger and was one of Burger’s partners in Rochester from 1871 to 1876. Even though George Lang was Fisher’s partner in the Lyons Pottery, Lang continued to reside in Rochester. During these years at the Lyons and Rochester Potteries, ... moreit was evident there were close family and employee relations. In 1878, Jacob Fisher bought the Lyons Pottery outright from Lang. Fisher’s daughter(Louise) and son assisted with the business affairs. It was during this time period that the business flourished like never before. Jacob Fisher had 2 of his own canal boats used to bring in clay from NJ and Long Island and Albany. These boats also delivered finished wares all along the canal. Wares were also distributed all over the northern counties of NYS bordering Lake Ontario from Syracuse to Buffalo by horse drawn wagons. The pottery grew in size and production during this time. Hundreds of pieces of stoneware could be seen stacked on the docks of the canal awaiting shipment. It was at this time that approximately 18 potters were spinning their wares. By 1896 the Fisher Pottery was the largest in the state. Around 1902, Jacob Fisher retired and decided to close the pottery because of increased competition from molded clay vessels being manufactured and distributed from Ohio. The crocks and jugs being mass produced in Ohio were attractive, cheaper, and could be produced 10 times faster than the hand made potters could produce

Antique Red Wing 10 Gallon Stoneware Crock Bail Handles Salt Glazed Petal Cover
For you today is a Fabulous Antique Red Wing 10 Gallon Stoneware Crock with black wood bail handles. The metal handle supports are strong and intact. The Wing on this crock is much larger and brighter than I have seen on many crocks. Beautiful. The crock itself is very clean and in wonderful condition especially for being almost 100 years old. It is dated by the right handle. Patented, Dec. 21st, 1915. There are 2 cracks on the inside bottom that are about 3/4 of an inch long if that. One, a surface scratch and the other is a bit bigger. There is one turkey track on the back. There are some surface cracks around the crock, nothing serious at all. The Salt Glazed Lid has a light#10 on the top of one of the petals. It has some surface cracks on it, again nothing serious. It also has a few turkey tracks. The crock has one 1/2" chip on the ... morebottom edge and the lid has one chip the same size approx. on the round lip underneath the lid. This crock is wonderful. Antique Primitive 10 Gallon Cobalt Blue Bee Sting Salt Glaze Stoneware Crock This is a very large 10-gallon stoneware crock that has been handed down in our Illinois/Indiana family since the 19 th century. The family lore is that it was used to pickle herring. It has a salt glaze exterior with a slip glaze brown interior. The decoration is a large free-hand cobalt blue“bee sting” The design measures 7 ½” long x 5” wide. The crock is 18” in height and 19” with the lid in place. The lid has a 10” diameter. The crock has a pleasing curved line with two ear-like handles. The widest section of the curved line measures 11” in diameter. This large crock holds 10 gallons. The last two pictures show the crock filled with 10 gallons of water. With the lid in place. It weighs a hefty 28 pounds. There is a fine crack that runs from the rim and curves ... moredown 9” to about the mid-point of the crock(see pictures of exterior and interior of the crack) It leeks slightly when filled with water. However, as an antique, it is doubtful that this collector item would be put back into use for pickling herring. You can be creative and use this crock in new ways. I have used it as a coffee table by putting a 30” diameter round glass piece on top of it. Use your imagination. This would be a great piece to own, display, and enjoy. Antique/Vintage Westerwald Crock from the early 1900's- exact age unknown. In great vintage condition with some age related and to be expected flaws- see all photos for the condition. The white spots on the crock I believe are old white paint splatters. Not chips! No cracks that I can detect. Has been used as a decoration in my smoke free home.
