Old Antique Redwing 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock Jug Butter Churn Red Wing
We have this old Redwing butter churn crock to offer in good as found condition. It is marked with the wing and Union Stoneware logo. It has wire handles. No lid and a nice 4" wing. The crock has a flaw on the bottom that looks like it was made this way. Just a hole, small. not a chip. There is a 1" crack that is on the bottom rim that is also a firing crack. Only shallow and not seen inside. This is a good Redwing Churn and is a hard to find piece. It is in good clean condition and is 16 1/2" tall. This auction is for a vintage 1/2 gallon stoneware crock. This measures right at 5" tall and has a diameter right at 7"across. This has a fracture in the that start part way down the side and continues half way across the bottom. This is a fracture not a break. I am not sure what the crock was used for, I have cleaned it up, you may want to do more. Most crocks will have a fracture and some blemishes, to me it adds character to these pieces. The jug is 8" tall and 5.75" in diameter at the base. It is 2.75" at the opening. The jug is in good antique condition with no real chips and only manufacturing flaws and related ageing defects. The jug still holds water. There are markings on the base but they are indistinguishable either from wear or age. Please examine the photos carefully. Up for auction Vintage antique 5 gallon crock brown and tan with a blue 5 on the front. This crock is in great shape and is 20" tall. I do like to list any flaws that I am aware of on any listing that I post and with this one there are some small chip marks at the bottom but I am not sure they were not made during the manufacutuing of this item. I have posted pictures of these chips a but other than that this is a great crock and needs a new home. I will be glad to answer any questions that you may have. Thank you for looking.

5 Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler Late 1800s Hotel Pub Bar Crock Jug
Here is a beautiful old water cooler from the late 1800s.doesn't look like it was ever used. It's about 5 gallons with a rich Albany type glaze inside and the upper outside. These were used in saloons. Bars, pubs, hotels and warehouses to hold the refreshment of choice. It is 18" tall.8 1/2" on the base and 38 1/2" around the ovoid middle. I bought it awhile back and was going to get an artist to paint a big red rooster on it and label it red roost rye.as a decorative piece.just didn't happen. The old wooden spigot didn't come with it but I'll throw that in as well. It weighs almost 22 lbs. unboxed so you can figure 25 lbs to your zip from 23851.for postage. Any extra postage fee will be returned.

Antique Butter Churn Stoneware 6 gallon Catawba NC Two Style Handle Rare 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. The dash will have to be shipped separate and would be around $15.00 extra. I will refund any shipping costs over my cost for materials. I get boxes free, but nothing else. Vintage 5 Gallon Crock Lid it is off white with a round knob handle with the number"5" on it. It does have a large crack that goes all the way through. and has 3 indents on the inside rim(it think that is the way it was designed and not chips) It does have one chip on the bottom inside rim. The outside diameter is 12 1/2" the inside rim is 9 3/4" diameter. These lids are getting harder to find. So even with it's flaws I hope you will love it. Purchased at an estate sale in NWPA. Antique Vintage 5 Gallon Crock Stoneware 2 Tone Labeled G Fox & Co Glazed Brown
This 5 gallon two-toned crock came from an auction in Vermont. It has a label from the G. Fox& Co. Hartford, Conn, see the 5th picture, on the side. It must have been delivered by the G. Fox& Co. I found out the G stands for Gerson who owned this large department store. It said that they made deliveries by wheelbarrow. The crock measures 13" high and 11 3/8" in diameter. There is a chip on the bottom edge, see the 10th picture. There is a crack that starts on one side where the brown turns to tan and runs down to the middle of the bottom. There are 3 indentations on the bottom edge that must have been made during the manufacturing process because they are glazed over. There are some drips marks, see the 2nd picture. There are also residue marks on the inside.

Up for auction is a nice antique crock with blue decorated double tulips. Attention Somerset. I believe this design was used by them. In great overall condition. There is a very small nick on the inside bottom rim on one of the handles and one small nick on the interior rim, both are pictured and could be filled. They are not bad at all and not really a damage I would say just mentioning to be as accurate as I can. Pictures are the best way to describe, please view them all and ask any questions that you may have. Great rare decoration. Measures 7" tall x just over 8.25" across. Vintage Birch Leaf Beehive Red Wing Crock Stoneware 5 Gallon Jug made by the Union Stoneware Company. Which was located in Red Wing, Minnesota. It has nice markings& stands approx. 16 1/2" high& has a bottom diameter of 12" I have pictured a small chip in the glaze area of the mouth of the jug as seen in photos, so maybe a professional will know how to repair that small area. The rest of the jug looks very nice with no cracks.This is a fantastic display jug for any collector or designer. Antique 5 Gallon Salt Glazed Red Clay Stoneware Crock w/ Cobalt Leaf (Red Wing?)
This is a rare 19th century 5 gallon salt glazed crock with cobalt blue leaf design. Possibly Red Wing. The markings are bold and the glaze is shiny and even. There are a few small chips along the inside of the top edge, one on the bottom of one of the handles, and a tiny one on the back of the bottom edge. There is a hairline that runs down one side next to a small crow's foot. None of the damage is visible from the front, and it still looks fantastic. It would make an excellent display piece! It will be packed well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
