The old crock was made by Union Stoneware Company located in Red Wing and it has their earlier bee sting cobalt blue mark on the front. The crock is a size 5 gallon and it has a nice salt glaze finish. It’s in excellent condition with no damage. But the bottom has some bulging just from manufacturing. It does have a large crack that goes all the way through. and has 3 indents on the inside rim(it think that is the way it was designed and not chips) It does have one chip on the bottom inside rim. The outside diameter is 12 1/2" the inside rim is 9 3/4" diameter. These lids are getting harder to find. So even with it's flaws I hope you will love it. Purchased at an estate sale in NWPA. Antique Vintage 5 Gallon Crock Stoneware 2 Tone Labeled G Fox & Co Glazed Brown
This 5 gallon two-toned crock came from an auction in Vermont. It has a label from the G. Fox& Co. Hartford, Conn, see the 5th picture, on the side. It must have been delivered by the G. Fox& Co. I found out the G stands for Gerson who owned this large department store. It said that they made deliveries by wheelbarrow. The crock measures 13" high and 11 3/8" in diameter. There is a chip on the bottom edge, see the 10th picture. There is a crack that starts on one side where the brown turns to tan and runs down to the middle of the bottom. There are 3 indentations on the bottom edge that must have been made during the manufacturing process because they are glazed over. There are some drips marks, see the 2nd picture. There are also residue marks on the inside.

Vintage Stoneware Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery 5 Gallon Butter Churn Pot Made in Roseville. Ohio This beautiful stoneware 5 gallon butter churn pot stands 16" tall and measures 10" across the brim. It has wire handles with red wooden grips. The removable lid has a hole in the center where the butter paddle is inserted and is marked USA and the numbers 5-6. There is a chip and a crack in the lid. There are also some small surface cracks on the barrel and some inner cracking but the integrity of the piece is still solid. It is marked with a crown and the number 5 in the center. It comes with a plunger which seems to me that is made for a 2 gallon churn. But I will include it with the pot.
