ANTIQUE BLUE AND WHITE WALL MOUNT SALT CELLAR OR CROCK
Lovely antique blue and white wall mount salt cellar or crock with lid. 5 and 3/4 inches in diameter and 9 inches to the top of the wall mount. There is a chip on the wall mount and a chip in the lid that is mostly on the under side as shown in pictures. Item is unmarked as most are but is very old. Colors are still vibrant with a glossy glaze. The word"salt" is embossed on the front with sun flower and basket motif. There are two creases on the lid know that occurred during manufacturing. We do not ship internationally and all sales are final. Payment is expected within 3 days of purchase.

ANTIQUE CROCK SALT BOX CELLAR BLUE/WHITE/GRAY GLAZE STONEWARE FRUIT EMBOSSED
F or your consideration… Vintage Stoneware Salt Box Cellar Glaze Crock in a Blue/White/Gray Color with Embossed Fruit Medallions on the sides and the word SALT across the front in a banner style. There is hole on the top of the back for hanging. No lid. The crock is 5 7/8” across and 4” high on the lower side and 5 ¾” high to the top of the hanging side. The embossed fruit with leaves looks to be either cherries or apricots. There are no maker marks that I can find. It’s heavy. Condition: Very good vintage. There is a chip along the top rim. Glaze pops and misses common to this type of pottery. Glaze misses that are worth noting can be seen in pics along bottom blue band. They are still common type and don't detract. Another chip like or stilt mark(doesn't show on display while seated) on the bottom rim underneath the crock. ... moreNo lid. Please enlarge the photos as they too represent the description. Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This primitive hanging salt crock from the late 1800's will add some lovely country charm to your home. The heavy salt glazed blue and white decorated pottery can be hung or displayed on a hutch or counter. It has a hinged wooden lid and a hole in the back of the pottery for mounting on a wall Though over a hundred years old. This crock is in remarkably good shape. It does have the typical mold flaws of early stoneware. Here is a lovely early yellowware salt crock with a wooden hinged lid. This salt box is made so it can hang on the wall. This is in excellent original condition for its age& has no chips. Cracks or repairs. This crock still has a shiny glaze both inside& out. The hinged lid is also in nice shape& all the hardware looks original. There are typical glaze imperfections, faint crazing& one darkened craze line on the back right as pictured. There is one tiny whitish glaze pop on the mid front bottom, the two tiny black spots on the right bottom edge are now gone. The black letters"SALT" are slightly blurred.
