For sale is an Antique Pickle or Kraut Jug 4/5 Gallon with a Wide Mouth. This is a piece of North Carolina Stoneware circa 1900 made for domestic use. The jug is 8" tall and 5.75" in diameter at the base. It is 2.75" at the opening. The jug is in good antique condition with no real chips and only manufacturing flaws and related ageing defects. The jug still holds water. There are markings on the base but they are indistinguishable either from wear or age. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. For sale is a Antique Stoneware Albany Slip Handled Crock or Jar. It is a Half Gallon size standing 9.5" tall and 6.25" in diameter. The crock/jar is from the Catawba Valley area in North Carolina circa 1880. The glaze is actually a combination of albany slip and a glass glaze. The crock is in very good antique condition with no chips. Or cracks. This is a hand made antique so there are glaze skips and runs. The jar is unmarked. Antique North Carolina Stoneware Crock Or Jar 1890
For sale is a Antique North Carolina Stoneware Crock Or Jar circa 1890. The jar is 7.5" tall and 5" in diameter. The stoneware is about 1/2" thick and the crock with lid weighs about 3 pounds. It would have been referred to as a quart canning jar probably for meats. The jar is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. There are superficial surface cracks on the base but the jar"Will Hold Water" The glaze is an albany slip that has been salt fired. The salt turns the albany slip back. I can not say with any certainty exactly where in North Carolina this jar was made or by whom because it is not marked. It comes from a collection in Randolph County N.C. which is the Seagrove region. Please examine the photos carefully. Antique North Carolina NC Pottery Milk Crock Cream Rinser Catawba
This is for a Vintage North Carolina Pottery Cream Rinser Crock. It has an Outer Black Glaze and inside is a Brown Slip Glaze. It is made out if Red Clay and I can see small pieces of quartz on bottom. Also has 4 marks where it sit on some kind of stilts while being fired. It is In Great Condition with no cracks or major damage. There are a few tiny nicks to the outer rim and one flat chip about half the size of a dime that is not very deep. These could be glaze pops from when it was fired or imperfections In the clay. It measures 7" inches tall and is 9 3/4" inches wide at the top. Glaze still looks perfect.
