You push on the button on top and the handle turns to open the box. There is a large spot inside to hold reels. Bait box, fish line or whatever. There is a small divided tray for lures. 1908 Vintage Harry C Lee & Co. Slotted Handle Racquet, (w. copy of patent papers
This is an interesting racquet with a patented slotted handle by the Harry C. Lee Company. With a patent date of March 10, 1908. The racquet is a Harry C. Lee with Harry C. Lee& CO. New York stencil on one side and L&C Trade Mark stencil on the other. In addition the patent date and number is clearly written on one side next to the slotted handle. While Harry C. Lee is written on the other side of the handle. The slot in the handle is not quite 5 inches in length and according to the patent papers is to materially increase the elasticity of the stem of the racquet thereby easing the strains with fall upon the hoop of the racquet. They were trying to solve a problem of the racquet breaking where the steam and the hoop were connected. It's interesting reading the patent papers. This racquet does have some broken strings. This racquet does have the leather piece attached at the end of the handle. But does not have a true butt cap. This racquet has nice clear logos and markings. The racquet is 27.25 inches in length and 8.75 inches in width. The patent number is 881.266 and was filed in 1907. The patent papers include the drawings and the text copied by me off the internet.

Offered is this remarkable silver plated fruit basket or footed bowl made in New Bedford. Massachusetts, by Pairpoint. The patent date is Jan. 31, 1893. The piece is numbered 1249. This rectangular footed basket has a movable handle that has a design of apples with foliage and stems. The center of the basket also features an apple branch with apples and leaves. The rim of the bowl is fluted with the corners folded up. A chased design appears on the outside of the four corners of the basket. A pierced border encircles the bottom of the basket. The feet featuresflowers with a ribbon or banner. This piece measures 9.75 inches long(25 cm) and 8.25 inches wide(21 cm) It stands 8 inches high(20.4 cm) with the handle extended upward and 2.5 inches high(6.4 cm) from the table top to the rim of the basket. Antique 1896 Patent Stoneware Crock Johnson Preserves Boston Advertising Handle
This auction is for a very clean antique decorative stoneware ceramic crock. It is printed on the front Home Made Preserves Manufactured By H. A. Johnson& Co. Boston. Mass. Stamped into the back it says Feb 11. 1896. This is in very good used vintage/antique condition. No chips or cracks. The glaze has lots of crazing but the ceramic is VERY solid and in great shape. The attached metal handle with a wooden carrying section is in very nice antique condition with usual age and wear and tear. It measures approx. 6 1/4 inches high 5 3/4 inches wide. Stanley 39-3/4" wood dado plane w/ both spurs depth stop & patent date on handle
You are bidding on one Stanley 39-3/4" wood dado plane as pictured. It has one serious condition issue. So please keep reading. It is marked"No 39 3/4IN" behind the iron. STANLEY" on the left side of the handle, PAT AUG 12, 02" on the right side of the handle, and"STANLEY RULE& LEVEL CO NEW BRITAIN CONN USA" on the thumbscrew that locks the blade. All of the pieces are present and proper. Including both spurs, all four spur screws, the depth stop, and the blade. Condition would be very good with just a cleaning. EXCEPT for a large triangular shaped chip out of the bottom just in front of the iron. It can best be seen in the 7th and 8th pictures. There is some surface rust to clean off, but no pitting anywhere. There is some patina showing through the nickeling on both nickeled thumbscrews. Except for ... morethe large chip as noted. VINTAGE WALKER AND HALL SILVER PLATED TEAPOT UNUSUAL HANDLE PATENT 19759
Here we have a vintage Walker and Hall teapot from the first half of the 20th century. With an unusual handle and no dents, dings etc. As can be seen from the accompanying pictures. There is unfortunately considerable wear to the plate to each side of the piece and further wear to the spout, handle and lid. There are some interesting. Clear stamps to the base. Measuring 22 cms from handle to spout. The base diameter is just under 13 cms and overall height is 14 cms. Weight is 812 grammes. The piece has been sympathetically and professionally cleaned by my Mother. A retired Antique Restorer and Jeweller. A lovely. Tactile piece, it is unfortunate about the aforementioned wear. Up for sale is a set of 12 antique celluloid handled medium knives from the Meriden Cutlery Company. The knives contain no ivory- they were manufactured a few years after celluloid was invented therefore the material of celluloid was being advertised as"patent ivory. The knives are stamped with"Meriden Cutlery Co. 1855 12. However. The last patent date on the box is 1874, so that's probably when they were manufactured. The knives look nice, the handles are in very good shape. There is the normal tarnish on the blades. Vintage Ritter Wooden Handle Phillips Screwdriver - Patent Numbers on Blade
This is an oldun. I've seen several vintage Phillips head screwdrivers and most of them pay homage to the inventor by including either and/or Phillips license number and patent on the side of the blade. This driver is so marked on the shank of the screwdriver just above the business end(see closeup photos) Screwdriver is intact and is in good. Usable condition. Shank shows a slight bend. It measures 11 1/2" long from end to end, has a 1 1/8" in diameter ribbed wooden handle and features about a 5/16" in diameter shank. Business end is a Phillips Lic. 2 and is in good shape. Pictures do show condition well! the edge of the blade may have been sharpened? and it is not exactly straight across. impressed on the top of the blade" STANLEY" and on the metal just below the wood handle, it is very hard to read what is there, I can barely read" stanley- made in USA and the various patent numbers, the first could be 1908, not sure though, and the last appears to be 1924, again, I could be wrong, but my guess is this is from that period. this will ship by U.S. Priority mail small flat rate.

It is also very different– Embossed on the front of the sifter is PATENT APPLIED FOR. One would think since a patent was applied for the company name would be visible, but I have not been able to find one– It does have a heavy aged patina- The sifter mechanism is connected to the metal handle(see photos of interior) Embossed on the front: TWO FULL CUPS– this is the top measuring line ONE CUP– this is the second measuring line PAT. APPLIED FOR Size: Approx. height is 3 ½ inches. Approx. diameter at the top is 3 ½ to 3 3/4ths– the top is a bit oval shaped Condition: aged patina on the metal. I did not shine. Vintage Heddon Pal Fly Rod 751-5-L With Handle Case Patent 1933
Heddon Pal 751-5-L Dated 9-7 Patent Date 1933. 1961969– 1961970– 1962869. This was among the treasures of my Father. Marked very clearly. Heddon Pal with the patent numbers. Solid cork ends with metal handle. I think it is a fiberglass rod that fits snug into the handle. This is with a precise fitting case I believe may have been original. But I do not know. The handle stores perfectly in the top fold over compartment. And the rod is carried in the inner protected thick walled holder of the case. There seems to be no damages. It it straight and complete.
