Antique Primitive Hand Painted Stoneware Covered Crock/Jar Description. This is a Fantastic Antique Tall Stoneware covered crock/jar with hand painted floral design. This was acquired from an elderly estate in excellent Antique condition with normal signs of age and wear/loss of paint. The crock/jar measures app 9 and 1/8" in height by app 6.5" across the base. There are no cracks or breaks. But does have some mild chipping on the edge of the lid(see pictures) and normal glaze blemish's that you would expect in old Stoneware(see pictures) as well as wear to the painted floral design on the front of the jar at the rim and on the lid most of the paint is worn. Beautiful. Large Crock Style Cookie Jar with hand painted pink and red flowers. I believe they are geraniums and have pretty green leaves and vines. The ball shaped crock style has 2 double blue rings and is a pretty cream color. There is one very tiny rough spot on the bottom inside of lid; and a few missing paint spots. Chips, signs of crazing. There are a few(2) tiny areas where the cream background paint has run, and the bottom outside has some manufacturing marks which are covered over with the paint. But these definately do not deter from the crock's appearance or painting. This is an interesting ovoid stoneware jar. It has no lid. It holds almost 1 gallon. It has a very nice coggle design under the hand painted design. I think this crock may be from the North East as the design is of a river running into the sea with the waves crashing on to the high cliffs. If it were from the south east you would think it would be less green and lower beach area. But this is only a guess. Vintage French style butter crock or butter bell with hand painted details VGC
Up for auction is a beautiful. Vintage, hand thrown earthenware French-style butter crock with hand painted details in dark green.The idea behind storing butter at room temperature in this type of container has been around since the Middle Ages and relies on water evaporation as the cooling method. More information on the history and how to use this piece can be seen below. Basically you put your softened butter inside the center core of the lid. Place a small amount of water in the outer crock, then place the lid on. It will keep fresh and spreadable for a week or two, except in room temperatures over 80 degrees. The crock is in good condition with no chips, however there is a small surface crack on the inside base, which does not go all the way through and is stable. It is shown in 10. Antique Stoneware Ironstone Pot Crock With Lid Hand Painted Rose-Illegible Mark
Antique Ironstone/Stoneware Hand Painted Pot/Crock With Lid Illegible Maker's Mark- This is a nice old hand painted ironstone pot or covered container. With an illegible mark that I wish someone could help me identify. I've looked through every antique pottery mark I could find. But couldn't find this one. It appears to be written in English because one of the words in the center circle is clearly'ware' The pot is 4 1/2" tall and 6" to the top of the lid handle when the lid is on. It is 5 3/4" in diameter at the widest opening and the lid is 5 1/8" in diameter. The rose motif is clearly hand painted with a pearly. Iridescent glaze over it. Some of the areas at the bottom of the circles with the roses have a purplish hue. CONDITION It's in very nice condition for its age with some discoloration around ... morethe inside lip that isn't protected by the glaze.this is of both the pot and lid. There are a couple of minor chips. Or crazing under the pot. There are minor white spots on the lid handle. I'll say now that I believe it's ironstone. But it may be stoneware. Antique Stoneware Crock Hand Painted Flower Pattern Stamped USA
This beautiful old crock was purchased at the estate sale of a collector. It is about 8 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches diameter at the opening. The unusual design includes a raised floral pattern that is hand painted. The paint is worn off some with age and use. Most of these old crocks were used in the kitchen on a daily basis- possibly as a cookie jar or lard container- so it is common to have chips as this one does around the lid. It is hardly noticeable when the lid is on. This is probably from the 1930s. We sell a variety of different items. This is one of my favorite estate finds! Beautifully hand-painted porcelain jug/teapot. Design is of corn ears in vibrant reds and golds. Many pieces from this era were made in Germany and then sent to the United States where they were then hand-painted. I assume that the initials that appear on the stopper and on the bottom are of the artist who painted it.

These items are all hand painted with white flowers by an artist named Julie. The crock measures 8 inches across and 8 inches high. It has a few small chips around the top which I have tried to show in the pictures. It has no cracks. The rolling pin is 12 inches handle to handle. Beautiful antique SALT wall pocket/crock! Item is hand painted: Blue flowers with yellow centers; yellow flowers with light brown petal tips; red wine colored flowers with yellow centers; dark green and light green foliage. Top border edges are painted light brown. Bottom is stamped under the glaze"MADE IN JAPAN" Front of box does not have square front corners. They are angled. Please refer to pictures. Box measure 6" width, 4" front to back, 3 3/4" front height, and 6 1/2" back height. Item is vintage- crazing of surface. Some discoloration to bottom edges and raised"feet" One small chip on backside near top edge above hanging hole, and chip to inside of left bottom"foot" not visible on front side view. Inside of box has several small spots where glazed painted finish is off. Probably due ... moreto crazing, with no damage to actual box. There is a larger spot of the same type on the inside corner- approx 1/2" x 2 1/2" measured at the largest areas. The hinged lid(most likely was made of wood) is missing. Antique USA Crock with Lid- Hand Painted Red and Orange Tulips. Stamped USA on the bottom. Lid has two chips and it appears that one was repaired on the underside. There are also manufacturing defects on the lid. The crock and lid are covered in crazing– it’s old. There are dark spots on the bottom of the crock. The red around the opening is worn. Painted flowers look pretty good. Measures approximately 9” tall. Lid measures approximately 4 1/2” in diameter. This would make a great display piece. If there is any cleaning needed. I leave it up to the buyer. I learned a long time ago not to try to wash or clean certain items… I ruined a quilt by washing it. Lesson learned. This is a vintage lidded dish or crock. Made by Yapacunchi in Equador and hand painted in vivid colors. Blue background with golden pears and grean leaves, plus gold and dark blue accents. Size is 7&1/2 inches across top if dish from edge of handle to edge of handle. Inside of dish is about 5&1/2 inches at top. Depth is 2&1/2 inches. This is a beautiful dish, glazed inside and out. A beautiful old pottery crock with a lovely deep brown glaze. With hand painted Jonquils. It measures 6 ½” tall and is 4 5/8” by 4 ½” wide at base. It is 3 1/8” wide at rim and has a 2” opening. Several old chips on the rim/inside rim and 2 very small paint flakes on crock and some very small bits of faded paint on flowers. Otherwise great. It is quite common for crocks to have chips. I don’t believe it detracts from the beauty of this old crock. The glaze is just gorgeous and so are the hand painted flowers. It is quite heavy for such a small crock. Let me start by saying that the true color of this crock is best represented by the first two photos. It is a robins egg blue on the inside and out and really looks dynamite in person. I believe it is a half gallon crock. Nothing to complain about with this crock. It is indeed very nice. No chips, cracks or hairlines. vintage cookie jar I believe it's old and appears hand painted. there is writing on the bottom that I cannot make out. It is very clean. SNUG FITTING CORK TOP. It is 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide. I do not know for sure this cookies jars age or make. As pottery is very hard to identify. But I know for sure its not a Walmart cookie jar! As you can see from the pictures.

Vintage hand painted crock with lid Chico California Mushrooms
Wonderful hand painted stoneware crock from the Estate we are still working on. This has colorful mushrooms all over. Signed on the bottom by the artist. and on the lid) and on the body of the crock) M. Nehlsen and from Chico, CA. We believe the C+J stands for the Christian and Johnson store, to which the artist probably painted it for at the time. Great old patina, and is in beautiful condition. All decoration is fired under glaze. Crock is almost 3" tall, plus the lid, and has a diameter of 6 1/4" There are no chips cracks or anything, just the typical imperections any old crock would have. Welcome to my auction. This auction is for a vintage stoneware crock. It says Grease on one side and the other side has a painted picture of flowers. There are no manufactures markings that I can find. There is no lid. It is 5” tall and about 5 ½” across at the opening. It has a tiny little ding about center on the bottom rim below the picture of the flowers. I don’t see any other damage. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding.
