Vintage Antique Igloo Galvanized 3 Gallon Water Cooler 1950 Era

Just give a few seconds for them to load Here's a very nice vintage Igloo 3 gallon galvanized metal water cooler. I believe this to be 1950's era. You'll see that this cooler has an all-metal interior and all-metal spigot dispenser. This is the earlier version. As the later issue coolers had a plastic interior and plastic push-button spigot. There's a small tri-angle shaped hole on the outside of the piece as you can see in the pics. This hole only pierces the exterior metal and does not go completely thru to the inside. This hole was used to mount the cup dispenser mechanism. Not included with this auction. The outside of the cooler shows some staining from the years spent in the garage. Would need a special chemical ... morecleaning. Or a light media blast to correct. I'll let you take care of that. Embossing on the cooler indicates"Igloo Corp. This is a Vintage Blue Crown 2 Gallon Stoneware water Cooler Crock With Lid A nd Sp igot. Th is is a cool old crock. I do not know it's exact age. I t looks like the lid may be a replacement but I cannot tell for sure. The spigot is pla stic and the interior of the cr ock and lid are immaculate so your guess as to the age of this is as good as mine. This would make a big hit on your Thanksgiving beverage table or next summer picnic. The exterior of the crock has quite a bit of crazing and also has a yellowi sh discoloration of the glaze. i do not know if it could be cleaned off but I do know it adds to the character of the item. MINNESOTA 3 GALLON WATER COOLER BLUE WHITE Up for auction is this wonderful 3 gallon blue and white water cooler by Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. with the Red Wing mark on it and"Red Wing. Minn" on the front. This water cooler has 2 metal handles with rust but the handles move well and freely. There is no lid and where the spigot used to be there is now a wooden cork. The Cooler weighs 13 lbs 5 oz. is 12-1/2" tall 9-1/2" across the base and 9-3/4" across the opening, the cork where the spigot used to be measures 1" across. There is a chip along the inside rim of the cooler and a crack on the inside base otherwise the cooler is clean and in good condition. 5 Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler Late 1800s Hotel Pub Bar Crock Jug
Here is a beautiful old water cooler from the late 1800s.doesn't look like it was ever used. It's about 5 gallons with a rich Albany type glaze inside and the upper outside. These were used in saloons. Bars, pubs, hotels and warehouses to hold the refreshment of choice. It is 18" tall.8 1/2" on the base and 38 1/2" around the ovoid middle. I bought it awhile back and was going to get an artist to paint a big red rooster on it and label it red roost rye.as a decorative piece.just didn't happen. The old wooden spigot didn't come with it but I'll throw that in as well. It weighs almost 22 lbs. unboxed so you can figure 25 lbs to your zip from 23851.for postage. Any extra postage fee will be returned.

This is about 14 inches tall. Pictures 5.6, 7 show very small chips to the upper inside rim which are so high they don't comprimise this at all. The inner lip of the lid cover them completely. The metal spout reads"Trademark O&H EZY-Kleen Pat# R20" It is from around 1910. As you know crocks are quite heavy so this is UPS shipping unless you are close enough by to come pick it up. I have a great 10 gallon Redwing Water Cooler for sale. Very rare to find with the spigot intact. This crock has no chips at all and no major cracks. There is a'crows foot" on the bottom edge as pictured but overall. A very nice example of the 10 gallon size from Redwing. The small wing was smudged at the factory. Some of the other marks that look like cracks on the side of the crock are not cracks. They are flaws from the factory. Please look closely at the pics.

Blue Crown 2 Gallon Water Cooler with Metal Spigot
For sale is a beautiful Blue Crown Crockery water cooler with spigot. The Blue Crown mark on this almost pristine crock is incised as well as printed and is the most awesome cobalt blue. The interior of the crock is almost spotless except for very minor surface stain marks on the bottom. Other than that there are no cracks. Chips or any other damage. There is no discoloration to the exterior of the crock, which is something I have seen on other water coolers.The spigot is shiny silver metal and very attractive. The exterior of the crock has very light surface crazing which is barely noticeable. The blue bands on the lid and body of crock are gorgeous cobalt blue with no wear whatsoever. The crock is 15" high without the lid. The lid is 8 1/2" in diameter. It weighs just over 16 pounds so is a very substantial piece. I got this at ... morean auction where there were lots of great finds that looked like they had been stored and never used. I believe that is true of this crock but can't be absolutely sure. Nice ceramic water jug/ crock from Marshall Pottery. The lid and water dispenser(spigot) are all intact. The jug holds water and the dispenser works fine although sometimes it sticks a little when trying to push in. Stands 12" high and the top is roughly 7 5/8 inches in diameter. There is an upside down U shape crease on the top. The spot is securely intact and doesn't move. But you would feel a little bit of a rise if you rub your finger across the spot. See picture. Up for auction is a vintage. Ceramic, 3 gallon, water cooler. I remember using this cooler back in the 50's-60's. It held our water, lemonade etc. when we went on picnics. As you can see it is not in perfect condition. The spigot could use a new gasket as it leaks a little when dispensing fluid. The lid has a huge chip on top edge(see photo) there are also a few smaller chips on inner lid, also one small chip on outer lip of cooler. None of these chips affects its use. There is no damage to this nice old stoneware water cooler. Nor is there any notable staining- only the mild crazing noted above. The spigot works and does not leak. The lid has a coating of some sort of translucent gasket material applied to the surface that meets the top edge of the vessel(fifth photo) I'm assuming to prevent chipping. This is very hard to see, and is probably removable, although it seems like a good idea. This is a very nice vintage pottery water cooler from Marshall Pottery of Marshall Texas. This water cooler was thrown by master potter Tommy Humphries. It is marked on the bottom with the Marshall name and signed by Tommy Humphries. It has a wooden spout and lid. The spout is removable and I did not try it to see if it leaks or has a good seal. The spout does fit snuggly and appears to have a good seal when it is inserted into the cooler. I believe that the cooler is a 2 gallon since it has the number 2 on the side. This rare Red Wing product was hand crafted/thrown/turned in the 1930's. It weighs about 12 1/2 pounds and stands 10 1/2" tall. The red wing is about 4 1/4" long. The lid would have to fit into the 7 1/4" diameter top. WE HAVE NO LID. The tap would have to fit into the 5/8" aperture. WE HAVE NO TAP. The stenciling is strong and clear. The numeral"2" is stenciled inside on the bottom. Beautiful antique stoneware lid with a large number eight deeply incised into the top. Weight prior to packaging is a hair over 8 Lbs. It measures about 12 inches in diameter. There is a"5W' molded into one of the petals but it is hard to read. This lid is in excellent condition. There are no cracks. There is a little spot on the top that might be an impact chip or just a"pop" that happened during the firing(picture#2) There is an inconsequential chip on the inner lip(picture#4) Great piece of Red Wing stoneware!

Vintage or Antique Stoneware Crock Lid measures approx 12" round overall has recessed knob in the lid the outer ring- the outside one- is approx 12" round. The inside ring is approx 8 1/2" I.D. and 9 1/2" O.D. the knob is 2 1/2" round, someone has written 4 on it- not sure if that means it goes to a number four crock or what, overall it stands approx 1 3/4" high to the top of the inside ring. pitted as you can see in the picture- made that way by the looks of it. overall very good condition for its age. one small chip on the underside. very heavy- weighs four pounds 11 oz. Here was a neat find that came into the store today. I dont know much about stoneware but i knew it was worth putting on here. Its hard to see but in the one picture you can see a 4 stamped into the top. Has a W in the glaze. can see the crack in the top but it doesnt go through the bottom. It does have flaws.
