Mainly known as a ceramic designer and as the artistic leader of the Gustavsberg porcelain factory. Kåge studied decorative painting at Tekniska skolan in Stockholm and later for the painter Carl W. Wilhelmson in Gothenburg. Johan Rodhe in Copenhagen and at Plakatschule in Munich, where he learnt graphic techniques. His early career was dedicated to advertising and the production of posters. But his best known work was in ceramics, begun when he was appointed artistic leader of Gustavsberg in 1917, remaining there until 1949, when he was succeeded by Stig Lindberg. It has two twisted handles. The bottom is marked either 801 or 301. Can't quite make it out. I believe this is a hand crafted decorative arts piece. No lid. I have had it for about 15 years ... moreand just used it as a decorative. Condition: very good vintage/ used condition. There are some minor flaws; a flake inside bottom of crock/ pot which can be seen in the pictures. A very minor hairline from top edge; approximately 1-1/4" on the side near one of the handles. Does not reach the handle. Very minor in my opinion. There is some crazing common to a piece of this age. There are some areas of relections in the images, including a grayish cast, sorry. Approximate dimensions: 27" around, just below the handles- 23" around the bottom- 6-1/2" deep- 6-1/4" across the opening- 9-1/4" across handle to handle. This bean pot/ crock is a nice heavy weight. Antique Pottery Ceramic Crock Teapot Pitcher with Spout and Handle
An Estate Sale acquisition: Ceramic pot with pouring spout and handle. There is a makers mark on the end of the handle. But I'm unable to determine what it says. Measurements: 5 3/4" high. Mouth is approx. 4" across at the inside, and crock at the widest point is approx. 6 1/2" Crock does not have any chips. No visible cracks from use, and is sold as found. Could use a good cleaning. more pictures below description* This large pot is a bit of a mystery. I believe it is oriental or middle eastern. It has a Naga, serpent or dragon on it. It is 16" tall, 17" across top and 11.25" across the bottom. It weighs 37 pounds- it's big& heavy! There are indications that say this might be handmade, like how the glaze does not entirely cover all areas, especially on the outside near the bottom and some other glaze flaws. Also, the brown drip marks present around the outside top. There are many abrasions and marks but still displays well. Fabulous antique ceramic stilton cheese crock. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. There are a few glaze pops but mentioning only for accuracy. On the front is embossed: Finest Stilton Cheese on the top and Redgate& Co. London below the applied crest. There are a few cracks in the applied lion and unicorn crest but I believe these were present when the crest was applied to the crock because it looks and feels to me that the glaze is on top of the cracks suggesting that the cracks were present before the crock was glazed. I could be wrong. But I believe I am right. On the back of the crock is embossed: Doulton and Lambeth. It is a good size, measuring 5 1/8 in diameter by 5 1/2 in height. 5 gallon blue band antique ceramic porcelain crock jug w/ lid miali pottery 1906
Older double blue band 5 gallon crock with lid. Stamped Miali Pottery Since 1906 El Monte Calif. Has 3 tiny holes drilled into the base. was likely used as a planter at some point. Crock has a very thin hairline crack near the top. see photos. Doesn't appear to go thru to the ceramic. Lid has 3 chips as seen in photos. Not sure if this is the original lid. Not including the lid this crock stands 14.5" tall and weighs 25lbs prior to packaging.

Vintage Pair of Ceramic Cheese/ Butter Mini Crocks with Wire Bails Pair of cute little collectable mini crocks with bails. Larger one stands app 5" inches tall and 3.5" inches wide. Smaller one is app 4" inches tall and 3" inches wide. Larger one has a darker brown glaze. Smaller one has a lighter tone glaze to give a nice contrasting display effect. Together they weight well over 2 lbs. Quite heavy for there size. Both are in excellent condition with NO chips or cracks. Rubber gaskets or seals not included. Wonderful display items!
