Antique stoneware crock w/ blue floral design E & LP Norton Bennington VT # 3
This auction is for a Antique stoneware crock w/ blue floral design E& LP Norton Bennington VT# 3. It is 12" tall. In good shape. One of the handles has a small chip on the underside(see photo# 8) The design is nice and dark. The name impression is very readable as well. There is a 2" x 2" spot to the lower left of the design that looks to be a glaze flaw of some sort of wear mark. It is rougher than the rest of the finish(photo 9) There is also a small flake on the inside top rim of the crock(photo 7) Good shape other than that handle. I also see a line on the top inside of the crock that is completely glazed over. It almost looks like a issue with ther area that was covered over prior to glazing and firing(photo 7) A small nick in the flat surface of the top rim(photo 12) I am not a crock expert PLEASE ask any questions ... moreprior to bidding- I would rather not have this returned for issues that I may not be looking for. Antique stoneware crock w/ blue floral design 2 gallon salt glaze #2
Antique crock with blue slip flower and"2" marked on it. There are no other marks that I can see. 12" high. Diameter at the top is 6 1/2" Diameter at the bottom is about 8 1/2" There is a double line decoration between the No. 2 and the flower decoration. The color of the pottery is a little darker grey and the blue is a deeper blue than shows in the picture. It is in overall good condition and very attractive. I will wrap this properly and insure this to prevent damage so the shipping costs will reflect that.

UP FOR AUCTION A WONDERFUL Antique Stone Ware Floral Crock w lid. Done in an American Pennsylvania Dutch style blue jar pattern. Crock is a med to small size about the size of a jumbo pickle jar and very heavy. I bought this at a local flea market. Washed it, and shined it up. It may still need extra cleaning. Perfect for decor any home, add to any collection, or used to hold dry goods. Crock is about 6 inches tall and about 4 inches tall. I thought it was special since it still had a lid. It is in great condition for being over 140 years old! It does have a chip on the handle about 1 1/4" long. This chip can not be seen on display from the front. Crock has a nice Cobalt Blue Floral Design on the front. It measures 11 1/2" high and 8 3/4" in diameter. It is a 2 Gallon Crock. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have!
