Zanesville Stoneware Arts & Crafts Matte Green Art Pottery Umbrella Holder stand
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage Arts& Crafts style Zanesville Matte Green Art Pottery Umbrella stand. It has a very nice deep cucumber green glaze. Stands approx 22-1/2" and approx 10" diameter. It is unmarked but documented and authenticated as Zanesville Pottery. It would make for a perfect addition to any Mission or Arts& Crafts decor. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- I see no damages but there are a fair amount of glaze miss spots through out the piece. The past owner must have tried to cover a couple of these spots with some sort of dark green coloring- I cleaned most of the spots off as much as possible. This is fairly minor but noted. I see no actual damages- no cracks.Chips,etc. There is one spot that I am unsure if its damage or just another glaze miss spot,that was covered. It is shown in my last ... morepic. ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. I have a lot of Mission furniture and this is a nice accent piece. This is a thick, heavy little jug, thus the shipping cost. This is a great price as

Wisconsin Porcelain Company of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin(1919 to Present) 100% True Heavy Porcelain, American Art Pottery, Crock-Jar and Lid with a Brown Speckled and Mottled Gloss Beige Glaze Application along with Gold Trim in"Near-Mint" Used Condition, Circa 1930s to 1970s(or Possibly Later) which was Manufactured for an Unknown Purpose or Client at the time of this listing. This superb heavy porcelain crock-jar has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, stains, repairs or factory flaws of any kind. I've graded its condition as being"Near-Mint" because when you look at the gold trim which was only applied to the lid you will see some tiny specks where some of the gold is either thin or worn away. You can see this close up by using the"Super Size" and"Zoom" ... morefeatures I've provided and you'll also see the worn gold isn't that noticeable. It really doesnt' hurt the aesthetic value of this fine crock, but it must be pointed out for accuracy sake. This jar measures about 3 3/8 inches tall with the lid on and without the lid it measures about 3 inches tall. Across the top it measures about 3 3/4 inches in diameter and the inside top opening is about 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The very bottom was left dry without glaze and it's sightly recessed which leaves a 1/2 inch wide ring base for the piece to rest on. The lid for this jar actually hangs over the top ridge so it measures about 4 7/8 inches in diameter and it's about 1 1/8 inches thick. The mark on the bottom is in-mold and it reads"Wisconsin Porcelain Co. within a recessed circle. This crock-jar was made from a true porcelain and it's a heavy porcelain piece weighing just over 2 pounds at exactly 2 pounds. 1.1 ounces. When you weigh the bottom jar section by itself it weighs 1 pound, 4.7 ounces and the lid by itself weighs 12.4 ounces. Vintage MP Mountain Side Art Pottery Bowl
This bowl is from the Mountainside Art Pottery of Mountainside. New Jersey. The pottery was started by John Kovacs in 1929 and closed around 1941. Kovacs was an immigrant from Hungary who had been a member of the Rutgers University Ceramics Club while a student. The pottery made Artware vases, figurines and bowls and used both a red and a white clay. The bowl is 12" in length and 9" in width. I believe this bow to be from the 1930's. Minor chip inside bowl. None on rim or outside, glaze is in remarkable condition. Very heavy bowl. Great decoration with a history.

There are some old scuff marks. Measures about 10-1/4 tall. The top is more of an oval then round and measures about 9-1/2 x 8-7/8 inches. Antique Chinese Art Pottery Lamp w/Incised Characters, Early 20th Century
This lovely Asian Art Pottery Lamp has Chinese characters on the front and side. The back is plain. It is in perfect condition, The wheel-thrown pottery is well executed and glazed in a deep earthy brown. Measuring 11.25" tall(just the pottery with the base) and about 5.25" in diameter, it has an older switch, cord and plug but is NOT frayed or dry rotted. The base is made of wood painted black. There is a white area on the base paint, but no damage. The metal fittings are well fitted and tight. This handsome, unique lamp will beautifully accent any Asian decor with understated elegance. Very nice older lamp. Estate piece. Exact age unknown. The lamp base was probably imported sometime around the early to mid 20th century. Just a wonderful old lamp with lots of character.
