Both from the late 1800's discovered at an Estate sale in Eastern Pennsylvania. Octagon in shape with a cluster of grapes in the bottom, a nice ribbed pattern around the top. It has a few small chips to the rim and fleabytes to the base, overall crazing to the glaze and wear that would commensurate with the age and use of the mold. We found no cracks or breaks. Antique Blue White Salt Glaze Stoneware Yellow Ware Daisy Trellis Butter Crock
As identified in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware. This auction is for a common pattern Daisy And Trellis Butter Holder. It measures 6" wide by 4.75 tall. Mint value $125- $175. There are six large daisies on a close trellis background. This is missing a lid and a bail which it held at one time. Bail holes for this mold were not made to go through to the interior. There is one fine hairline crack on the interior of bail hole placement that extends from top down approx 2.75" it is not visible on outside surface. The opposite bail hole has an old chip on the ear approx 1/2" long. Please refer to pics as details of description of condition and ask any questions before bidding. It's unmarked and I believe very old; from the mid to late 1800's(purchased from a local dealer) It has a rough(concave) bisque bottom and some glaze infractions, but is without chips or hairlines. Weight is slightly over 2 pounds, and the crock measures 6-1/4" height with a base diameter of 4-9/16" by 4-1/2" and the ovoid top is 5-1/2" diameter by 4-3/4" diameter. Antique sponge ware bean pot, chicken wire pattern yellow ware
Yellow Ware Bean Pot with Lid. Dating to the late 19th century. This wonderful piece of history features a raised swirl base with brown and teal sponging in the chicken wire pattern. It measures 6" to the top of the knob and is 7" in diameter at its widest point. Some sellers attribute this piece to early Red Wing. The lid has several chips on the inside edge, the largest being 1/4" and a few chips on the outside of the lid, the largest can be seen at the bottom of photo#4. Crazing on almost every surface. Photo#3 shows a 1/4" chip just to the left of the handle and a 5/8" chip at about 10 o'clock. Photo#5 shows a 3/8" chip in the outer rim. The rim chips aren't very noticeable when you look at them from the side. The last three photos shows a 5/8" crack around a thick spot next to the handle, a ... more3/8" chip in the glaze next to a small bump that was in the glaze, and a 1/4" chip in the handle that looks like it was made before the glaze was applied.

Antique Slip Band Decorated Straight Sided Yellow Ware Crock, RARE Form Ca. 1890
A yellow ware straight sided crock with four creamy white slip bands. The crock was probably meant to hold butter or lard. It measures 4 3/4" deep by 5 3/4" in diameter at the top. Any condition issues are on the base where they are not seen. There are multiple glaze flakes and some chips to the inside edges of the foot. The upper and outer surfaces are in vey good condition with just the usual glaze pooling. Pops, and manufacturing flaws that should be found on these early wares. The piece measures 4” tall and 9 ½” in diameter. The bowl is in wonderful condition with no chips. Antique VTG yellow ware crock pickle jar stoneware pottery yelloware Large 9"
Vintage/ Antique Stoneware Crock. Measures: 9.25" tall X 7" D. Heavy stoneware jar. Missing the lid. Stamped on the bottom is. USA" I am really unsure on the age. I think it could be quite modern. Possibly 1940-1950. There are some chips on the glaze surface. I tried to show in the pics. The largest is 3/8" wide. None of the chips compromise the stability. There are no cracks that run all the way through. e-mail with questions. Nice color. Its definitely pottery and has been thrown but not sure if its actual yelloware.
