Antique primitive Vintage Dark Brown Crock Jar Wax Seal?
Antique dark brown crock jar used for vegetables or fruit. The lid was sealed to the jar with wax i believe. Such jars date back to the 1200's however this one is probably from the late 1800's- to the early 1900s. It is in very good condition considering it's age. The inside rim is rough and has small chips. As you can see in the picture. There is some discoloration at the bottom, appears to be a manufacturing flaw. Otherwise there are no other cracks, other chips and the glaze is in good condition. This would be a great addition to a collection. Pictures are part of description also. I will combine postage I have considerable inventory I need to consolidate and doesn't help that I keep adding to it. If you find something you like remember I will combine postage.

Up for auction is a antique super large 10 gallon stoneware crock. This crock is super heavy and in ok/good condition. There are a few hairline fractures as shown in the picture. I do think this crock was repainted because I can see paint runoff. I also think this pentagram may be also added on. This crock is made just like the crown maker would make it so I think it may be a crown brand because I can not find a brand with a pentagram on it. You may know more about this crock than I do. Primitive Antique Shamrock Stoneware 20 Gal Crock Storage Sauerkraut Jar Vintage
This is a huge 22.5 inch high and 17.5 inch wide crock. I was told by the lady it came from it was a German Sauerkraut crock that has been in her family since before she was born. She said they always made sauerkraut in it and her grandparents were from Germany. That being said I can not authenticate any of that but I think it is beautiful. Has a shamrock on the front and a 20 for 20 gallons. It is a cream colored beige. Inside is dark brown. I put water in it and after a while if started to leak out of a few hairline cracks on the sides. There may be a hairline crack in the bottom but I can see it on the inside but not the outside. Old Vintage Antique Primitive Pottery Crock Georgia Alabama Maybe Sand Mountain
We found this 5 gallon crock at the Summerville flea market recently. And were told it was bought at an estate sale in Whitwell, Tn, which is at the tail end of Sand Mountain just outside Alabama. It measures just under 16" high, and is in good condition with a couple nicks and chips around the upper rim, and that hairline crack that goes all the way around the rim base(not sure if it has been re-glued or not, as the crack is REAL tight, and its hard to tell) Otherwise terrific, and as the title implies, this piece has many of the attribute we associate with Sand Mountain pottery-the thumbprint handle, the smooth ground bottom, the salmony colored clay, and the handle being attached just short of the upper rim. There is a number 5 incised next to the handle, and oddly, a number 3 on the bottom. We have had a dozen or so SMP pieces over ... morethe years, and we think this one has a pretty decent chance of being the real deal. If you do NOT think so, please do not bombard our e-mail with your opinion, as even with the REAL pieces we have listed over the years, we get a dozen or so folks telling us we are wrong, and to take down the listing immediately(even on the $10K crock we sold on here about 6-7 years ago, which went on to sell for over $30K at a local auction house) Again, not to sound rude, but please do not send e-mails unless you are inquiring about something besides who made it. One is a brown glaze that measures 8" x 6" in good condition has a surface crack at the handle but is still in usable condition. Vintage Antique Primitive Salt Glazed Crock Blue Tulip Double Loop Handles 2L
Offering this great primitive stoneware two handled crock. The crock measures approx. 6 3/4" tall by 7 1/2" across. There are discolorations throughout this old utilitarian piece which appear to be in the glaze from the firing process. Each side is decorated with a hand painted tulip and scrolled leaves topped and based by a blue band. The handles are decorated with vertical painted brush strokes. This wide mouth jar has no makers marks but does have"2L"2 liter) incised on the side. I believe this to be European made. Possibly German. California buyers must add 7.5% sales tax. We only charge actual shipping costs. Should actual shipping be less than paid. We do refund the excess.

This old antique Whiskey Jug is a fresh find from a garage in a fine old home near Birmingham. Alabama. It is probably from the Mid to late 1800's and has the character to prove it. I see no cracks on the piece anywhere, but it does have some minor bumps near the base and various staining all on the surface from over a hundred years of sitting in a garage. Most folks would call this patina, and it enhances the beauty of this piece. Please review the photos carefully and ask any questions that you may have. Unique Odd Shaped Antique Crockery 1 Gallon Vintage Primitive Unmarked
This crock is unique in a couple different ways. It has different shades of brown from light sandy to a darker tan I don't think this was originally intended.The other thing is it's unique shape makes it separate from others,it has a round bottom and a oblong top and it also sets cockeyed. This crock measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 7 1/8 at the base, the oval top measures at the small side 6 7/8 of an inch and at the widest part of the top it measures 7 1/2 inches.be sure to see all pictures for they are part of the description and condition it does have one small chip on the inside rim but it's only the glazing not the crockery.
