This crock is in Excellent Condition with 2 very minor shallow chips to the upper rim and a very minor split on the inside of the crock. This happened during the making of the crock. The base has some roughness to it. Another issue that happened during the making of this crock. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition of this crock. Antique Primitive Pennsylvania Stoneware Redware Turks Head Cake Bundt Mold 1870
ANTIQUE PENNSYLVANIA REDWARE TURKS HEAD MOLD This very nice Turks Head redware cake mold is one of two that was removed from a Central Pennsylvania estate near Troxelville. It measures 8-1/2" in diameter x 2-1/2' tall. The mold features a capped center chimney and a pumpkin color that has good contrast against the darker manganese interior decoration. The mold remains in very good condition for its age just showing normal wear especially on the bottom. It has surface only hairlines and old flea bite size nicks on the top rim. Antique Primitive Pennsylvania Lead and Manganese Glazed Redware Small Apple Butter Crock By Christian Link For your Antique Redware or Christian Link Pottery Collection Details Description: Antique small redware crock. Apple Butter or Preserve Jar with a lead and manganese brown glazed exterior and interior. The bottom of the crock is unglazed. The glaze inside and out is the typical dark brown colored glaze used by Christian Link. The glaze is very shiny and is rather difficult to picture. Please note the dark spot you see in the center near the top is a reflection of me taking the photo. In addition, the piece does not show the black specs of manganese glazing as clearly as the photos using the flash do. However, when looking at the glaze closely one can clearly see the black colored specs within it, just nice. This wide mouth crock has ... morea round flat base with flared rounded sides which end in a flat outwards projecting and slightly slanted downwards rim. The rim is also glazed with the same brown colored glaze used throughout. The interior of the crock is glazed and has some soiling or residue from use, which we did not attempt to clean. The piece has three small clear plastic round feet that have been applied at a later date by the previous owner. The piece is marked by the maker on the bottom. It is of nice size and would display very well in your collection of antique Pennsylvania redware pottery. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Mid 1800s or early 1900s. Origin: Exeter Township in Berks County Pennsylvania. Size: ~ 4" in height. 4 1/8" in diameter on top and 2 1/2" in diameter on at the base. We are pleased to offer an antique dark gray stoneware crock brought to you straight from the Western Pennsylvania countryside! It is a deep shade of gray over redware clay which can be seen on the top inside. It measures 10" H and 5 1/2" W.It is extremely heavy. There are no chips. Nicks or cracks. You will note some white marks on the bottom of the crock. A friend in the know about such things says they are lime deposits from lime that was in the clay when the crock was made. ANTIQUE REDWARE BOWL CROCK WITH INTERIOR GLAZE This very nice large redware bowl. Belongs to a 94yr old lady that lived in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania and tells me this is redware and it belonged to her grandmother? It measures 4-1/2' tall 9" across top and 5" at the bottom. The bowl features a dark pumpkin color glazed exterior. Incised rim. And a tan crackled interior. Perhaps the best feature of this old bowl is that it is in wonderful condition for its age. No cracks or hairlines but possible crazing or this is just the way it was made. There is no reserve on this Pennsylvania Redware Crock. We are pleased to present this mid-19 th c. redware ovoid crock with Pennsylvania origins. It is glazed on the inside and has a rolled rim. This crock is quite large and is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. When this crock was thrown there apparently was a small rock in the clay and it shows as an interesting mark on the side. Please see photo. There are also some places on the surface where the glazing dripped and show as shiny areas creating a sort of random pattern. This is a great piece of folk art and we think you will really like it. This is a beautifully glazed early redware example and features three tooled lines around the most bulbous part of the piece. I acquired this piece out of a farm building near the Delaware River in Western NJ. There are flake chips to the glaze throughout(see pictures) though the earthenware itself is not cracked or broken. The storage crock/ vase stands approximately 6 1/2" tall. The outside of the rim meas.ures approximately 4" in diameter. Antique Central Pennsylvania? Stoneware Crock Pottery Stone Jar 4 Gallon
Late 1800's salt glazed stoneware crock with cobalt decoration. This crock features cobalt vines as well as several squiggle decorations. There is an impressed 4 gallon capacity mark between the decorations as well as a freehand 4 gallon capacity mark. This crock stands approximately 14.75" in height. Is 9.25" in diameter at the base, and 8.5" in diameter at the rim. This crock has some damage worth noting. There is an approximately 6" crack extending from the rim to the top of the right vining. It appears to have been stabilized with glue. There are 2 large shallow chips to the rim. One above the right ear, and the other slightly behind the right ear. There is a 2.5" in the firing crack next to the one previously described. There is a"y" shaped in the firing crack about 1.5" across between the ... moredecorations. This crock is in Excellent Condition with a spider line at the base that runs upward approximately 1" and another at the top rim that runs downward approximately 1" Both are below the saltglaze you cannot feel them when you run your fingernail over. There is a split line that extends from the top rim downward approximately 1 1/4" It is filled with saltglaze. does not extend to the inside of the crock. The crock is guaranteed 100% secure it rings true when you tap it. There are a couple of slight nicks or chips to the top rim and at the rim of the inside rim. Times past, the days when this JUG was new, selling for pennies at the country store as a utilitarian object now elevated to collector status desired by every Watcher out there reading this. The horse drawn carriages were clipclopping past at a lazy pace! This Jug is potted from northern grey clay indigenous to the area. But the extended time in the kiln during firing produced a most striking warm brown color layering over the grey peeking out underneath, rendering it appearing almost like Beehive or Beeskep! Horizontal rings of grey color peek out between the brown overlay in a most unusual effect a little bit different from the usual grey floral or later stencil patterns of the Cowden maker. Crock stands 10 3/4" tall on a 6.25" diameter base. The single rear strap handle is strong and perfect and the bottom is toasted light brown from the kiln with a desireable wire wheel cut marks off the potters wheel. Jug has a few random clay

Small Antique 1800's Pennsylvania Stoneware Crock Jug w/ Green Colored Glaze
Up for bids is a small antique stoneware pottery crock jug frpm the mid 1800's with a light green and dark brown colored glaze as pictured. It was probably made here in southwestern Pennsylvania where it was found in the basement of an old farmhouse. There were several potteries here in the mid 1800's and I do not know the maker of this jug. The jug is a dark brown color covered by a glaze with a light green colored tint to it. The jug stands 9 1/4" high and measures about 5 1/2" wide across the middle. It has an old cork in it that someone tried to remove and after breaking the top off the cork just left the rest of the cork in it. It looks like it would hold about a quart of liquid. There is one small chip on the handle as seen in the last picture. Otherwise it is in very nice overall condition with the usual marks from ... morestacking and being fired in the kiln. Antique Shrum Greensburgh Pennsylvania advertising stoneware crock
2 gallon R. Shrum Greensburgh. Pennsylvania stoneware crock. No hairlines or cracks, it is greasy with a whitish mineral deposit in one area. The grease areas show as lines in the jar so don't think it's cracked. Needs soaked and cleaned. Nice mix of freehand and stencil. Good contrast between the blue and grey. I failed to mention, there is some spotty roughness on the underside edge of the rim. Ask any questions.

Beautiful Antique 19th Century Pennsylvania Stoneware Crock. The Crock has the number 6 on the front with a blue design below and handles on both sides. This crock is in excellent condition with some minor age expected marks here and there. I do not see any chips or cracks to the piece, measures 13 1/2" tall, 11 3/4" in diameter.
