Underside has an inner ring that measures 6-7/8" in diameter. Nice simple design. This is not bright white, but an aged white that has gray undertones to me. There are the usual slubs and imperfections from the glazing process, a couple of small darker areas. Nice condition overall. This is probably a bit small to be a crock lid and too fancy a top. I would sooner think that it's a soup tureen lid or something similar. This will ship in a Medium Flat Rate Priority Box. It is almost"pretty" but it's not suppose to be. None of them were manufactured to be pretty and dainty. However. They truly are IMPRESSIVE pieces to own. When you own one of these, you own a part of history in America. You are almost like a museum owner, or a curator of time pieces on a small level. A very Early Unglazed Redware Crock dating to the 19th. century. The crock stands 9 1/2" tall and 10" across the top. It is a very attractive piece of Redware. With lots of character. The crock does have three minor chips in the rim. When looking at the bottom of the crock it would appear that it has several hairlines, but they were probably there at the making of the piece. Vintage Antique? Crock Bowl Sponge Pattern Ribbed 9 1/2" Gray/Blue
This vintage bowl is a beautiful piece of Americana Art Pottery. I think it may even be an antique. There is an awesome crackling of the glaze inside of the bowl. It is large. 9 1/2" in diameter. The circular shape is not perfectly symmetrical, indicating it was made by hand. The sponged on color is almost blue but, mainly it is a dark, steel gray.

This redware crock came from an auction in Vermont. I am unsure of it's age. It measures 9" high and about 7 1/4" in diameter at the widest point. There is quite a bit of chipping on the top rim and use/wear marks. Please see all pictures. There is a round mark that appears to have been made during the manufacturing process, see the 2nd picture. It is heavy, weighs 5 pounds, 3 ounces. There is no lid.

The wire bail and wooden handle are original to the crock. Roughly measures out to be just under 1-1/2 gallons(6-quarts) No manufacture's marks of any kind. Family providence tells me this crock was made in the late 1890's to 1920's. Measurements: 9" tall x base diameter 9" x top diameter hole 5-1/2" This crock has some fine overall crazing(inside and outside) But overall it is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. What a great decorator piece for the kitchen or any room of your house. Use it to hold flowers. Kitchen utensils, magazines, newspapers. the possibilities are endless. There are some old scuff marks. Measures about 10-1/4 tall. The top is more of an oval then round and measures about 9-1/2 x 8-7/8 inches. We have poured water in each one(the first 7 hold 1 gallon) We left water in each of the crocks for 4 hours and didn't see any leaks However we will not guarantee that they won't leak Each one is different and like things made one hundred years ago. A lot of these have imperfections. We happen to like the little dings. Color drops and weird lines, ridges and bumps. Look at all photos as they are a very big part of the description. We have tried to show all chips. Any finish issues and the top edges inside finishes and the bottoms. Most of these crocks could be used in brining with some cheesecloth and a weighted plate. This is a very nice antique jug from my personal collection. Nice brown glaze with unbroken handle& opening. Made by Nathan Clark Jr of Athens. NY. He was the son of Nathan Clark Sr which had the largest pottery firm in New Yark state in the early 1800’s. This was taken over by his son from 1843 to 1892. This jug stands about 9 1/2” tall. Vintage/ Antique Stoneware Crock. Measures: 9.25" tall X 7" D. Heavy stoneware jar. Missing the lid. Stamped on the bottom is. USA" I am really unsure on the age. I think it could be quite modern. Possibly 1940-1950. There are some chips on the glaze surface. I tried to show in the pics. The largest is 3/8" wide. None of the chips compromise the stability. There are no cracks that run all the way through. e-mail with questions. Nice color. Its definitely pottery and has been thrown but not sure if its actual yelloware.
