IT IS 6 1/2" TALL AND HAS A BASE DIAMETER OF 4 3/4" THERE IS ONE SMALL CHIP ON THE MOUTH THAT WAS PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED YEARS AGO AND IT IS NOT NOTICEABLE AT ALL. This auction is for a vintage 1/2 gallon stoneware crock. This measures right at 5" tall and has a diameter right at 7"across. This has a fracture in the that start part way down the side and continues half way across the bottom. This is a fracture not a break. I am not sure what the crock was used for, I have cleaned it up, you may want to do more. Most crocks will have a fracture and some blemishes, to me it adds character to these pieces. Here is a Very Unusual. SMALL Size Crock, stamped by the Maker from West Central Missouri. This Crock is nearly a Miniature, Measuring only 5& 1/2 inches tall! The Top measures 4& 1/4 inches across. This Piece Has a Dark Brown, Albany Glaze with a Few lighter spots. The Base has a Wiped or smeared look. It is Stamped in small letters near the bottom rim. JEGGLIN, CALHOUN, MO" The Name is a bit light but can be read with light. I believe the initials, G.A. are there but just too light to see, The town, CALHOUN, MO. is easily read. I have seen several pieces from Jegglin, Jugs, Crocks, Storage Jars, etc. but don't believe I have ever seen one this small. Tan Crock With Spongeware Band Old Crock stands 8 ½ inches tall. Opening is 4 ½ inches. There is no lid. Although it seems that it had one at one time. There is a pretty spongeware band around the middle of brown. Green and dark red. The entire crock has a beautiful crackle in the glaze. There are two fingertip handles. After careful examination. I find one hairline crack which only shows on the inside lip and the glaze on the uppermost edge of the opening is worn down, most likely from a lid. Otherwise. This crock is in very good condition. This is an old Salt Glaze type Crock I believe. Pottery. It has a 3 Gallon capacity as stamped on the front with a laurel design around it. It measures 10 1/2" diameter x 10 7/8" Tall. Crock The crock is approx 8 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter at the top. It has a crack on 2 sides of the rim. The one I can see on both the inside and outside.
