Original SELLERS Kitchen Cabinet Sugar- Grain- or Flour Bin. Hard item to find. These were normally found in the 48" cabinets in the lower right hand corner of the top. Also sometimes found in the wider Wilson Kitchen Cabinets. This is a"tilt-out" bin(see photo 3) And is 13" high, 10" wide, and 9" deep. Overall it is in very good condition. Paint has been cleaned off of it. Outside is very good, inside has a little surface rust that still needs some cleanup. NO RUST THROUGH spots. No dents or damage. HOOSIER STYLE CABINET - EARLY 1900's SELLERS KITCHEN ORIG ETCHED GLASS INDIANA
This Sellers Hoosier style cabinet was manufactured in Indiana most likely between 1913-1933. I found a picture in Philip D. Kennedy's Hoosier Cabinets book(page 79) which is this cabinet exactly. Stating that it is a 1913(which would make it 100 years old! The book says that the cabinet in the picture is 52" wide whereas this cabinet is 56" wide not allowing for the metal brackets that hold the counter. It has been here in the mountains of New Mexico for 25+ years. Well cared for and maintained. The previous owners(good friends of ours) told us that it was a green color at one time and was restored to it's original finish. There is a small amount of evidence that it was another color and I have pictures I can send to a serious inquirer. Inside the large three section drawer there are two spots- I didn't even know about ... morethem until I started taking pictures. You don't notice them. I believe I took about 25 pictures and chose 12. More are available should you have any questions. The entire cabinet unit(comes apart into 2 parts) is in wonderful condition! We hate to part with it but it won't fit in our next house. There isn't a wall it will fit on. I have attached 12 photos. Experimenting without flash and some with flash. I had the misfortune of choosing an overcast day to take the pix so flash was necessary at times. I prefer natural light for furniture as it captures a more accurate color. Some of the interior pictures(the flour bin and sifter. For example) are with flash. Vintage Sellers Kitchen Cabinet latch S hardware and hinges
I bought these with some other things at a local estate sale. I believe these are from a Sellers kitchen cupboard. I don't know about the hinges. But they were together and might be for the same cupboard. The hinges are marked underneath NL Co. Rockford. One of the 3 that go the same way is loose and but still works. The single one has something dripped- maybe paint. I have not tried to remove it. One of the hinges is pinned with a nail. The biggest hinges don't have the same bends. Please ask I'll try to answer. I have a Sellers hoosier style cabinet that I am selling off all the parts. Everything except for the upper and lower cabinet frame and drawers is available. Including all hardware, doors, flour bin, tambour(rolling door) enamel work surface with wood framing and the brackets which the upper cabinet is attached to the lower. Feel free to contact me with specific questions on any of the above. This auction is for the original door for the bottom cabinet complete with wood bin. Wire rack and original hinges. The door measures about 22 by 19 1/2 niches. The inside measurement is about 21 1/4 by 18 7/8 inches. The wood bin on the top inside is about 19 3/8 long by 3 1/4 deep by 2 1/8 inches high. The hinge side will need some attention, is attached, but away from the door. The white wire rack measures about 19 1/2 inches long by 8 1/2 inches ... morehigh by 3 1/4 inches deep, is in overall very good condition. Has some minor bends but still holds its shape. I believe the two hinges are original and I have left them on the door. Rare to find all the parts in one place in such good condition. Overall, a very good replacement part. Beautiful antique Sellers Kitchen features include: fully useable flour sifter. Slide out porcelain over metal counter top work surface, and full set of original Sellers spice racks with larger canisters for flour and sugar or what have ya. Glassware and racks alone are worth a couple hundred, and a rare find with this cabinet. All cupboard doors and drawers are operational, bottom metal bread drawer is missing lid and showing some rust spots but still usable. Mostly all original with the exception of cupboard door hinge screws( replaced with flat head bolt and nut) new roll top door and new sliding bottom shelf. Over all a great piece that would look great in any kitchen or dining room with plenty of old country charm and abundant storage. Can deliver within a 50 radius.

A fine example of the Hoosier style cabinet so popular in the early part of the last century. Oak and mixed woods construction with amber slag glass in the top cabinet doors. The sifter is intact and working. The tambour side-rolling doors are missing. And the latch to the center top door was replaced at some point with a hook and eye that works quite well for the purpose. As in many of these cabinets, the trays are missing from the bottom large cupboard and the sliding top is gone from the metal bread drawer. The cabinet measures 70" tall by 40" wide and 24" deep when the porcelain top is slid back, about 30-32" when it is slid out to make a larger work surface. Offered is a HOOSIER CABINET/ SELLERS CABINET BREAD DRAWER from the base section. The drawer is made with an oak wood front and tin bottom& sides. the drawer measures 19 1/4" long. 13 3/4" wide, 9 1/2" deep, the front of the drawer measures 14 1/2" wide and 11" tall(fits an opening of 10 1/2" tall and 13 7/8" wide) The old paint has been stripped off the oak front, the metal has some rust, there is no handle, and there are dings to both the metal and wood. Fresh from an estate. The original paper label is still on the back with the persons name on it that I bought it from. reads G.I. Sellers& Sons Company Elwood. IN. above the paper label is stamped NO. 700 WHITE ENAMEL BLUE TRIM. It has issues on both sides in back with the veneer coming loose and a few scuff marks but is very solid and looks great. local pickup only. Vintage Sellers Bakers Cabinet
Beautiful old sellers kitchen cabinet with built in flour sifter. Original green color with original decals on front doors. Flour bin up top is clean and glass front is intact. Sifter works great. Roll down front works great and on the back is the original metal spice rack. Bottom drawers all work great and door opens up to reveal metal shelf inside along with a metal rack on door. Enamel top is clean but does have one spot along front where enamel top has worn off from use. Cabinet is clean and sturdy throughout. Has some chipping of paint but for its age it's a beauty! Vintage Sellers Cabinet Left Hand Latch , Rare Find S motif Sellers Nickel Latch
Vintage Cabinet Part This is a used vintage 3/8" offset S latch off of a Sellers Cabinet. These are rare to find in useable condition. This is a old original piece in used condition. Latch seems to work. May need some adjustment moves lever but maby not as far as it originly did. This will show some wear from years of use. This will also show signs of aging. This comes with the catch and mounting screws seen in photo. This measures 2-1/4" tall. 1-1/8" wide measured across back of latch. Photos show condition fairly well. Flash makes it look a little more shiny than it is. AS many of you know that work on these cabinets the original latch is heavier and better built than the reproduction latches. Sellers Oak Hoosier Cabinet with Etched Glass Doors
The buyer of this will be the 3rd owner. I am the 2nd owner and the original owner was of Eagle Bridge N.Y. which is Grandma Moses country. I bought it at auction on August 27. 1994. Flour bin& sifter are in excellent used condition as is the bread box. Glass is all intact and no cracks or chips. Interior paint on flour bin and interior shelves has some loss due to age and use. Latch on lower door was replaced with an original handle to replace a broken handle. Otherwise everything is original to manufacture. Manufactured approx. 1916. The Coffee. Tea and 5 spice jars are like new as is the Sugar dispenser. This pic and description was omitted from the original listing. It measures(Top 11-1/2" x 46-1/2" Bottom 25-1/2" x 46-1/2" Enamel top(24-1/2" x 48" when pulled out) Enamel top has some chip and wear but ... moretop can be turned around. Pic shows these 2 items.
