It is made from burled walnut and sits atop beautiful Queen Anne style legs. It measures 55 inches tall. 15 1/2 inches deep and 26 inches wide. The liquor cabinet opening measures 28 1/2 inches tall and 24 1/2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition. It has one glass shelf in it but has a spot for another shelf. At one time I am sure it had 2 shelves but at this time it only comes with the one glass shelf. The legs are about as firm as you would expect long Queen Anne legs to be. What I mean by that is they are a little lose and I would never drag this piece anywhere. Once it has been placed somewhere it will be fine, but the nature of these legs is that they don't have a tremendous amount of strength. ... moreThis piece came from England with a load of antiques. Up for action is a BEAUTIFUL 1930's/1940's ART DECO liquor cocktail bar cabinet. I bought it from a local antique store about two years ago. I no longer need it because I have aquired new furniture. My loss is your gain. I do not know a whole lot about this bar other than its from the 30's/40's and was made by Gold Feather Products in England. It has beautiful walnut and striped mahogany and would make a great addition to any living room. Its in beautiful shape and obviously has the usual minor scratches and such from 80 years of life. The pictures are really a true representation of the condition. As you can see. Its beautiful. In some pictures it appears lighter in color due to the flash on my camera. The bar is lighted on the inside, but does need to rewired if you want the lights to work. 1930's English Art Deco Dazzling Walnut Cocktail Cabinet Liquor Bar with extras!
DESCRIPTION: 1930's Art Deco Walnut Drinks Cabinet/ Bar/ Cocktail or Liquor Cabinet. The front of the Cabinet has a large 2 door bottom cupboard to store all your bottles and glasses. It has a lock but the key is long gone. You also get the extras on the bottom shelf. It includes an original chrome penguin ice bucket with bakelite handles and a glass cocktail shaker with the chrome top. The glass shaker has red printed instructions all around tell you how to mix popular dirinks of the day. Moving up. You see a small drawer for holding cocktail napkins and such. And now the top which contains the serving area. When you pull down on the front section. The smalll top section flips up and the light comes on. It is so so so cool. All of the hardware is tight and works smoothy. Your classy cocktail party guests will just OooooH and Ahhhhh when ... morethe light comes on and they see the Jazz age interior. The original glass in the back section of the cabinet has a backing of gold paint. This is original. The top shelf or gallery has a cute little cream colored bakelite or early type of plastic rim in a rolling wave shape. The ONLY thing that I believe not to be original is the silver section of silver glass that you see on the fold down mixing tray. It is held in place by 4 chrome clips that are screwed to the wood. This glass is a replacement in my opinion. The finish is original. No chipping or missing veneer. A few light scratches on the right side of the cabinet but not very visible. The cabinet sits on 4 castors which I believe were added at a later date. They are helpfull to roll the cabinet in place. Everything you see on the inside is included in this auction!
