I purchased public vaults at auctions when people default on their payments. Two months ago I bought a unit from a guy who worked for Rocketdyne/Boeing building Space Shuttle engines for NASA. This is one thing I found. Highes bid will get this Antique Gaylord Brothers 4 Drawer Library Card Rolodex Yellowish/Orange Eames style. Made out of wood and painted. The box measures 17" Deep. 13 1/2" Wide and 9 1/4" Tall. The rods that hold in the index cards 3 out of 4 are missing, but most likely won't be needed for storage use. Today i have for sale a nice antique industrial era 4 drawer filing cabinet. this one is tiger oak and dovetailed. this one has the original brass pulls as you can see from the picture one drawer has some damage at the bottom.still functions properly. this piece has had some solid pieces tacked inside the top two drawers but they retain the original bottom like the lower drawers.this piece would be great in the kitchen or anywhere in the house.this one measures 15 x15 x10 1/2 inches. please look at my other industrial era auctions ill be listing a 6 drawer cabinet later in the week.

Up for auction is this beautiful library card catalog cabinet by Yawman& Erbe. The drawers are dovetailed as well as the cabinet. It has 2 I.D. medallions. There is some sort of sticker on the side that has been there for a long time see photo no. 9 I don't know if was original to the piece from the maker or where exactly.In the last photo you can see the shadow line from where it had been sitting for a very long time and also a manufactures I.d. no. Really nice antique 4 drawer Maple wood library card catalog has great looks to be hand done dovetailing. The cabinet is 9 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/2 inches wide and 17 inches deep and weighs 27 pds. The drawers hold 3 x 5 cards. In good condition other than the rods that go in the bottom of the drawers are gone in the drawers but that makes it nice that the standard 3 x 5 card will fit it and there are some scratches. Tape residue, few small hairlines on the top, rubs, stains, average wear for its age. Did not find a manufacturers' name on this but in one of the drawers were some numbers as you can see in picture 8. These cabinets are good for a lot of things and look great. Antique Vintage Library Bureau Sole Makers 4-Drawer Wood Oak File Cabinet
For auction is one beautiful vintage 4-drawer quarter-sawn oak file cabinet from the early 1900s. It is in fantastic original condition. The finish is original and has only minor nicks and scratches. The brass hardware retains its original patina. And all hardware is accounted for. Each drawer has a dark green metal adjustable divider inside, and the top drawer has the original LBSM patent decal inside the drawer face. All metal glides operate smoothly. The finish is slightly lighter inside the label holders. There is also a slightly darker area on the top towards the front left of the cabinet(see photo) There is only one side panel. But it is reversible, so assuming the file cabinet is placed with one side against a wall, you can use the side panel on whichever side faces the room. These cabinets were made to screw together in rows, so you ... morecan also attach it to an existing LBSM file cabinet of the same size and vintage. There is a date stamp on the inside(JUN 15 1922) which I assume is the date of manufacture. There is also an inventory number(25U59) punched into the wood on the upper left hand corner on the front of the frame. Here is a vintage Macey. Of Grand Rapids Michigan, four draw index card file cabinet in beautiful tiger oak wood. It is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition. Vintage U.S.A. Made MACEY antique 4 drawer card catalog made of oak and brass. Measures 13.5in(34.3cm)wide/9in(22.4cm)tall/14in(35.5cm)long. Each drawer facing measure 6in(15.2cm)wide and 4in(10.2cm)tall. One of the drawers has a nick in the corner facing. Doesn't effect function.see photos) All four drawers have their"pushers" Has dovetail cuts. The reflection of the white placement is casting a glare on the wood in photo. It's not faded or anything. Here is a really nice antique tiger oak library Index 4 drawer Card Catalog made by Amberg File& Index. Genuine. Circa early 1900's. Nice aged patina. Quarter sawn oak construction with dovetailed drawers. I am not sure all are the original drawer pulls-the bottom 2 are the same, but the other 2 are different. All 4 drawers have label holders. Drawers open and close smoothly. The original block of wood inside the drawer remains in all 4 drawers. It measures approx. 15 1/2 inches x 15.5 inches and 11.75 tall. Nice, well built. Weighs about 26 lbs. Shows ordinary wear, dings, markings etc. Very good overall condition. There is a half torn off label with a zip code from Rittman, Ohio on the side. Very nice collectible!

Each drawer has wooden dividers inside, and one of the drawers has the original LBSM patent decal inside the drawer face. The bottom drawer is missing along with the metal rods. We DO NOT HAVE the one side panel. But if you had one it would be reversible, so you can place the cabinet with one side against the wall, and you can use the side panel on whichever side faces the room. This box is 100% genuine and original! Item measures 10-1/8" tall. 14" wide and is 15-3/4" deep. The wood is in nice condition. There is front wear from the drawers being taken in and out and staining to the top. There is also a portion with a red and white spray-painted area on the side just below old'ORC' lettering. The box is very sound though. And aside from the minor imperfections it is very sturdy. There are no broken or missing pieces and the boxes slide freely and work perfect. Wood Library 3x5" Index Card 4 Drawer File Cabinet
Offered as a'buy it now is this 4 drawer 3" x 5" file cabinet manufactured by Shaw Walker. The overall dimensions are 14" wide x 15" deep x 9-1/2" height. There is a crack on one side which is the result of a slight warp in a panel. It has been refinished and the color is very close to original. The japonned hardware is original. The bottom left hand drawer face has been repaired also. All of the interior hardware works as it should. The felt pads cover what was hardware for some sort of interior block or divider. Somebody at one time put a plywood insert to keep things from falling out the bottom. This appears to be solid wood. Back has plywood veneer that is a little chippy, excellent condition overall with age related patina and fading to stain otherwise looks very nice. This is crafted of quarter sawn Oak and is in good condition considering its age…beautiful wood grain patterns. And high quality dovetailed construction as seen in the photos. The drawers hold 3" by 5" index cards or photos. The file has original brass pulls, and the manufacturers emblem is brass as well that reads: Library Bureau Sole Makers. It does have a lot scratches and scuffs and there is a white mark on the left side of it. Then on top of the piece one side is darker. The back of the piece there is a pretty big deep scratch. The four drawers do not have the same color, I am not for sure if it is different wood or just a different finish, but they are not the same color. The joints might not be as tight as they once were, but once again this is a very old piece. I would consider this piece to be very clean. The bottom is not as smooth finished as the rest of the cabinet and it is full of scratches and dings. Some type of oil or finish has been applied to it and the inside of the box and the bottom of the drawers does not have the oil applied to it. I have made a video at the bottom of the page so you can see how the drawers open and close. Also two of the four drawers has a small hole on the front of them and they all have scratches and dings.

Antique Library Bureau Solemakers Oak File Cabinet--4 Drawer--RARE SIZE
Nice Library Bureau Solemakers file cabinet. In solid quarter sawn oak. The cabinet measures 15.75"W x 19.75" L x 14"H, and will hold a 5 x 8" index card in the drawers. Features dovetailed construction with original solid brass fixtures and drawer dividers. The rays and the flecks of the wood are nicely highlighted in this piece. Drawer dividers are all present, but the brass rods are missing. There is a stain on the top and side of the cabinet, but it adds to the patina and age of the piece. The last drawer picture also shows a crack across the middle of it which has been repaired and is barely noticeable. Very heavy piece and bigger then usual Library Bureau cabinets. Happy bidding!

This is an American oak library card catalog with 4 drawers. Made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers company. It is dated on the sides of each drawer with patent dates of 1892 and 1894. It shows a lot of character and patina from the last 100 years. It's not perfect, but has a nice appearance and looks good on a desk or table. The drawers have the card supports present and the drawers operate smoothly. The back has paneled construction which is nice, and everything is dovetailed for added quality. The outside dimensions are 14" by 14.5" by 11" tall. The drawers hold both 3" by 5" index cards, and 4" by 6" cards. I will ship this by FedEx within 1 day of payment.

Nice old early 20th century c.1910 4 drawer index filing cabinet. The dovetailed drawers are designed to hold many 3X5 index cards. Each one retains their original bras pulls and each have their own metal flap to hold your cards upright. There are tons of dividers inside the drawers which we will include. All of the drawers glide in and out with ease. The tiger oak grain is highly figured and glows warmly with its original golden oak patina. Hello you are bidding on a Rare Antique Library Bureau Sole Makers 4 Drawer Card Catalog File Cabinet.This item is in overall good condition for a item of its age.The wood shows normal wear.It does have some scratches and such in places.The back of this cabinet has some wood starting to peel off.On the front as you can see the very top piece above the drawers has a small gap in it where it has warped or just come a little out of place from age.The drawer hinges are missing a couple of the wood screws but thats no big deal as they are easily replaceable.This item is an excellent piece for a full restoration or just clean it up a little with some wood working skills and wood treatment.Either way you look at it.This is a remarkable piece and would be great to the right person.

1942 Antique Library Bureau File Cabinet 4 Drawer Large Size
Here's a 1942 antique library card catalog early. Large 4-drawer. Measures 19-1/2" wide x 20" deep x 13-1/4 high. The drawers are 9" wide x 19" deep x 3-1/2" high. A solid piece with no significant damage. Has mainly surface scratches with no deep gouges. Needs sanding& refinishing to bring back its natural beauty. All dovetail construction. Inside of drawers looks very good and the original brass pulls& card slots are all intact. The dividers and drawer hardware has been removed. I'm not positive of the type of wood used, but it appears to be a hardwood. The cabinet has a dark brown stain, and is stamped C.R. LTD 1942 on the bottom. A solid piece of furniture. The photos include all 4 sides.
