The cabinet was manufactured by Rockwell& Rupel of Chicago, Illinois, and I have not been able to find another example of it anywhere online-in fact, I've only been able to find two file drawer cabinets made by this company: one is a smaller tabletop model, and the other was a wider one that was auctioned by Christies of London in 2006 for several thousand dollars. So, I think it would be fair to say that this is a rare piece of furniture. Probably used in an office setting in the late 19th to early 20th century. It later spent many years in use at a hand-crafted furniture company. When purchased it still contained piles of screws and cabinet knobs! As shown, the bottom two drawers are missing. I removed them, as they had been loaded down with screws and the bottoms were very beat up. HOWEVER, I saved the FRONTS(see second photo) and they could be attached as false fronts or of course a woodworker could replace the drawers. As shown, at some point in its long history the cabinet either had two top drawers replaced with one deep drawer, or perhaps only the cabinet pull was replaced. The drawer fronts have the remnants of old taped labels as well as scratches. Carved numbers, and plenty of wear. The bottom of the cabinet has significant wear to the trim, and I removed some of the side trim that was in bad shape. The cabinet and all its remaining drawers are in good structural condition and all the drawers are clean and open and close properly. The cabinet measures 60" tall, 30&3/4" wide, and 18&1/2 inches deep. Fixing this up is entirely optional-I love its worn. Industrial look and the hand-carved dentil molding and old-fashioned brass-plated label drawer pulls. Here is a vintage Macey. Of Grand Rapids Michigan, four draw index card file cabinet in beautiful tiger oak wood. It is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition. The original Macey litho is in very nice condition. It has all of the original hardware and everything works as it should. Please take a look at all the pictures. This is an antique quartersawn(tiger) oak filing cabinet with three drawers. Nearly 50" tall. The drawers slide without sticking and the cabinet is quite sturdy; however, the finish is scratched and worn. The inside of the top drawer has a chip that is not visible from the outside. It has been kept indoors(in use) in a smoke-free home. There are no dust guards between the drawers, and the drawer bottoms are open in the center. The lowest drawer has a wooden file divider, but there are no rails for hanging folders. It has the original hardware, which looks like antique brass, somewhat worn. ANTIQUE QUARTERSAWN GOLDEN-OAK CARD-FILE CABINET THIS ONE FITS CD'S! Well this was a discovery. Here I'd had this gorgeous quarter-sawn oak cube-like drawer-cabinet, and always assumed that it didn't fit CD's, since so many of the old card files& card-catalogue drawers are too small for the standard CD case. But in measuring it for this listing. We realized that this classic antique is indeed unusually well-suited for these quintessential modern electronic storage necessities. Whether you need to store drawers full of CD's or not. This piece is a beauty. It looks like there's no veneer on this piece, and that every panel is solid through& through. And unlike most cabinets of this sort, it was made so that every one of its sides(even the bottom) is beautiful, smooth, flush& meant to be seen. The quartersawn, ... moretiger-oak panels are just exquisite, golden-oak natural colored and of a very clean, simple design. The form of this cabinet is nearly an exact cube. Measuring about 21" high, 20-1/2" wide& 20" deep(plus handles) Drawers measure inside about 5-7/8" high, 8-3/4" wide& 18-3/4" deep(at the top, the fronts taper to a thicker bottom inside) This piece is absolutely beautiful. It's in excellent condition to my eye. The back panels do have a vertical separation of a small gap. But this is just a bit of shrinkage in the solid lumber& not really a flaw, in my opinion. Otherwise just age-appropriate small scuffs here& there, but altogether an excellent, gorgeously made, solid awesome cube with excellently useful drawers, that would make a perfect end-table. Vintage Arts and Crafts Era.Mission style oak card or index file cabinet. This is the large 5" by 8" card file. The total measurement of the cabinet are 20-3/4" wide. 14-1/2" high by 18" deep. This was the property of the Commonwealth of Virginia as evidenced by the two property decals. The condition is very good to excellent.original finish. The case is very nice with some minor wear and a couple of very minor cigarette burns to the top. The drawers are very nice and function well. The brass pulls and holders are also nice. This antique GLOBE 8 Drawer Tiger Oak Library Index Card File Cabinet is in excellent original condition! Measures 14" wide X 17-1/2" tall X 17" deep. This tiger oak cabinet is a real beauty. The 8 drawers have the original maroon painted metal bottoms with the super nice copper colored sliding dividers(see photos) There are no cracks. Splits, or gouges to any of the cabinet or drawers. There are 2 tiny tack nails missing from the metal drawer pulls. No key but the complete original locking mechanism is intact in back of the bottom right drawer. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer Globe Wernicke 8 drawer oak filing cabinet! Original patina- cabinet has not been refinished. Original GLOBE decal. No repairs- exactly as found in an old estate office room.

Beautiful Antique Tiger Quartersawn Oak 4 Drawer File Cabinet Paneled Sides NICE
For your consideration is this beautiful antique oak quartersawn file cabinet. The person I bought this from told me that this was the condition he bought it in from a Savings and Loan bank that had gone out of business in southern Ohio. As you can see from the photos the file is in great condition. It has a nice golden oak finish that really shows off the tiger graining in the oak. The cabinets overall dimensions are 52" high X 27 1/4" deep X 14 3/4" wide. The inside of the drawers measure 12" wide X 10 1/4" high X 25" deep. The only thing I see wrong with it is one of the drawers has the bracket missing on the bottom which holds the adjustable wood slide vertical. It is ready for use in your home or office. Up for sale is this ANTIQUE TIGER OAK YAWMAN& ERBE 4 DRAW INDEX CARD FILE CABINET. It is all original including the brass hardware and made in the early 1900's. It is solid oak. Except for the backside which is oak veneer. It has great ducktail work and beautifully constructed. The dimensions of the cabinet are 13" wide by 13" deep by 9" tall. The inside dimensions of the draw are approximately 11" long by 5 1/4" wide by to about 3 1/2" tall.

This cabinet is probably close to 80 years old and is in still really good condition it has dovetail jointing on the cabinet and on the drawer pulls themselves. It is Tiger oak wood and there are a lot of tiger stripes throughout. I've never seen one with with such an array of tiger stripes. One of the drawers has a solid bottom in it for pencils and tape and staplers and what have you. The plywood on the back has a 1 inch to a 1& 1/2 inch wide piece of veneer missing off of it which could be darkened and backed up against a wall and not even noticed. The cabinet measures 13& 1/2wide by 13& 1/2 tall by 16&1/2 deep. The drawer measures 5& 1/8 wide by 3& 1/4 tall by 14& 1/2 inches deep. The keepers all work properly too. It has solid red brass pulls with ID pockets on each drawer. The drawers all slide smooth ... moreand easy. The bottom has some small drill holes, see pictures. File Cabinet Tiger Oak Dove Tail Top Drawer Quarter Sawn Old Antique Refinished
I just found this fantastic 1930s solid quarter sawn tiger oak( except for backside panel) file card cabinet in great condition. I stripped and refinished the cabinet with a real nice deep golden oak stain. The winner of the auction will hand select the type of final coat finish they desire. Either satin poly or gloss. All fours corners of the cabinet is dovetailed as well as the drawers. There are a couple darker stains but for a piece that is close to 90 years old it's not that bad. Solid brass original pulls. On the backside towards the bottom a couple of small pieces of veneer have cone off. They always used oak veneer on the back because the cabinet was usually placed against a wall. Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 Drawer Tiger Oak Card File Cabinet Up for sale is this great antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer index card file bureau. It is Tiger Oak and possibly has been refinished. It is 13 1/2" wide. 14 1/4" deep and 9 1/2" tall. The drawers have brass pulls with card holders to label the drawer. It has the Shaw Walker gold label on the top, you can read Chicago below that but it is partially worn off. There is the number 354-Y impressed into the bottom which is probably the model number. The condition is very nice. There is a small area on the top left corner where the varnish or lacquer is worn off(see photo) and in the back on the bottom edge there is a 4"x 1/2" area where the veneer is missing. These minor flaws do not detract from the appeal of this piece. The drawers hold 3x5 index cards. Only one ... moredrawer has the sliding mechanism to hold the cards in place. This is a really gorgeous and useful file cabinet that I've had since about 94. I purchased it from an antique store on Lincoln Ave just south of Irving Park Road for $1.100. The only hardware missing are the rods at the bottom of each drawer, has original handles and label cards. The drawers are removable and slide on wooden slides. Really a great piece. I'm getting rid of it because if just doesn't fit in our office space. Which has knee walls that are 3 feet tall, and there's just no where to put it. Also, I mainly used to it store compact discs, and well, they don't make those any more, do they? The cabinet is 55" tall. From floor to top, 16" wide from left to right, and 26 3/8" deep, not including the projection of the brass handles. In full disclosure. The interior of the drawers measure approx 10.5" ... morewide, so this would not be practical to use as a file cabinet for traditional 8.5 X 11 sized paper. Antique Wabash Rival File Cabinet, 12 drawers, tiger oak, over 100 years old

Please send me your zip code. This cabinet is in good shape for a piece of office furniture that‘s over 100 years old. It’s been sitting in a warehouse. Unused, for decades. The decal on the front says“Wabash Cabinet” In the middle of the decal there’s a picture of an Indian, and around it there are several words that are mostly obliterated, but I think it says“The Wabash Rival Filing Cabinet” A paper form titled“Wabash Rival Letter File Transfer Record” is glued to 11 of the 12 drawers. The earliest date recorded(handwritten) on the form is 1 July 1901. The bottom of one drawer was replaced long ago(before I bought it) and the word AJAX is stamped ... moreon it in red ink(see photo#10) No form is attached to that drawer. The drawer pulls appear to be rose brass. Photo#8 shows the Wabash label and the left side of a drawer that is sitting on top of the cabinet. The right side of each drawer is open to allow for easy removal of papers from the drawer. Each drawer has a lightweight. Spring-loaded, metal bar that helps hold papers, sort of like a large mouse trap. Two of the drawer fronts were broken and glued long ago. The glue lines can be seen in the last photo. Red arrows point to the glued drawers. Most of the original hardware is still there. But several of the flat metal pieces on which the drawers can be hung are missing(6 are present, and 6 are missing) The cabinet has been nicked up. But there are no large gouges or splits. The top is solid and intact but is discolored in many places, as shown in the photos. Width: 30 ¾” Height: 33 5/8” Depth: 18 3/8” Weight: 118 lbs. MACEY Antique Quarter-Sawn / Tiger Oak Index Card File Cabinet 2 Drawers 3x5
This is an antique 2-drawer quarter-sawn oak file cabinet made by Macey. It has really cool looking unusual brass knobs which are original! The Macey name is on the lower front between the 2 drawers which are made to hold 3"x5" index cards. A February 14. 1899, patent date is stamped inside each drawer. The cabinet case is dove-tailed on the topside and bottom side. This is a well-made piece. The cabinet case measures 13.75" wide. 14.5" deep, and 5.25" high. Because of the unique hardware, the overall depth is an additional 1.25" making it 15.75" deep. One of the drawers has the original wooden"push-up" piece to slide the cards and hold them in place; the other drawer has had the metal strip removed.but it can still be used as a regular drawer. Antique Globe Tiger Oak 2-Drawer Card File Cabinet. Circa 1900. This is a fine and early 2-drawer file cabinet, made by Globe(later Globe Wernicke) c. 1900. The piece is made of solid tiger oak, and is in good condition. It is complete, with the two original sliders in the drawer. There is minor separation at some of the seams as well as holes in the bottom of the cabinet. Recently refinished: the Globe stamp has been sanded off, but it is 100% authentic. St eel inside drawers and a metal tag with a serial number on it from the company that owned it 14" wide x 16 1/2" deep x 5 1/2" tall overall.

ORIGINAL ANTIQUE TIGER OAK 3 DRAWER LEGGED MISSION FILE CABINET
This is a late 19th-early 20th C tiger oak quarter sawn oak filing cabinet. It is a solid and well made piece of office furniture with some wear showing it's age but with a stunning wood grain. I believe at one time there was another cabinet on top of the other 3 separate sections because of 2 small holes there. But this is not really noticeable and it measures 44" high x 14 1/2" wide x 24" deep with four legs.
