Antique Wood Medicine Cabinet
This auction is for a used wood medicine/towel cabinet with mirrored door. The cabinet has"The Crescent Towel Co. decal on door and and stenciled on rear of cabinet with the name and crescent moon logo. I believe the cabinet dates from the early 1900's. The cabinet has a top exterior shelf and bottom towel bar. There are three interior shelves. The top two are fixed and the bottom shelf has a cutout in it. I'm not sure if it's removable, I didn't force it. I'm not sure what the knob is or if it's original or not. Seems to be ceramic. The door has a crack at the top inside of the door which does not stop the door from working. The spring in the door lock is also missing but door will remain closed. There are also some stray paint splatter and drippings along the top and sides where the wall must have been painted ... moreand the cabinet not removed from wall. Antique 1940's Wood Medicine Cabinet. Pretty Sturdy. 23 1/2 Inches in Height and 13 Inches Across and a depth of 6 Inches. Original glass knobs. The inside measures 12 Inches Across and 4 Inches Deep. I measured the depth where the shelf slots are. There are 2 rows of 7 slots on each side. The shelves are not with the cabinet. The cabinet had a cute drawer in it. The glass has a panel line design in it. It has been painted white and on the sides you can see that it was green at one time. This is an original cabinet that was rescued from a remodel of an old 1940's house in Minneapolis.

The chest is made of wood. We do not know what type it is but it could be oak. The wood looks good on all sides and the back. Antique Vintage MEDICINE CABINET Solid OAK Wood with Rack
WOW! Up for sale is a great looking Antique Solid Oak Medicine Cabinet. Dark Stain. Inside is painted white and has a metal shelf in the center. Not sure if the shelf is original. Measures 12"wide x 8 3/4"tall x 9 1/2" deep. The door has a key lock. Looks like a common older skeleton type key. Corners of the door are dove tailed. The bottom has a sticker but I can't read it. I can see the word lakeside and a picture of a person. But thats it. There is some paint splatters on it from someone painting around it. It would probably come off. The only problem is the front and back edge on the top is slightly warped. You can push it down flat so it could be easily glued down tight. There is some wood chipped around the door lock also. Cool Shabby Primitive Green Paint Wood Antique Medicine Cabinet 'Eyebrow' Trim !
Hi: For your consideration here is a very cool antique wooden medicine cabinet! Measuring from the back the dimensions of this cabinet are about 21 1/4" high x 17 1/2" wide x 5 3/4" deep. The cabinet has two metal hangers on the top. There may have been a mirror in this piece at one time but it now has a piece of glass that appears newer than the cabinet which we are estimating dates to the early 1900's. Possibly earlier. The door has a neat long spring that controls the opening and closing, but the door has a tendency(at least in our Pacific NW humidity) to close with about a 1/4" side gap. There is a single wooden'beehive' style knob on the front. There is white paint beneath the green, and a dark stain beneath the white. The'eyebrow' piece over the glass adds an unusual and cute touch, and it appears ... moreto be hand carved but it is difficult to say for sure through the paint. The interior has a bottom'shelf' a small shelf above that still intact, then a right and left division above for five smaller shelves that are absent. The space for the smaller shelves have a trim piece on one side and a slot on the other. The cabinet is very solid but it does have and issue with either veneer/laminate or the top layer of the wood lifting and cracking in several places, the lifting primarily on the front which we have tried to show close-ups on. We are not sure what the wood type is. It is also a bit dirty so some cleaning may be desirable. A very cool old antique cabinet! This Medicine Cabinet is Old and Shabby. I have taken the mirror out of it and replaced it with an Antique Cieling Tile. The tile is very shabby as well. Offering many different colores of chippy paint. I have sealed its surface to prevent any more paint coming off. The Tile is sealed on the backside with the original piece of wood that backed the mirror. The whole cabinet has been repainted inside and out and I have destressed its surface to make it look old and shabby(it already was) I have added 2 Large"D" hooks for easy hanging Picture 9. This cabinet would look wonderful in any room hanging on the wall or sitting on a counter or table. Size:19" tall. 15" wide, 6 5/8" deep, shelves 5 1/2" deep, Top shelf-4 1/4"tall, middle-6 1/2" tall, bottom- 6" tall, Tile inset 13 1/4" x 9 1/2" ... morex 1/4" deep. This a neat old primitive medicine cabinet that came from an old estate in Knox county Indiana. It is from the old Brouillette home in rural Knox county. It is well over 100 years old. All of the wood and mirror are in very good condition. Some of the paint at the bottom is chipping. It has three shelves. The mirror is intact with only very minor flaws. Measurements are 34 1/4" tall. 31 1/4" wide, and 7" deep. Recessed part of cabinet measures 28 1/4" tall, 23 3/4" wide, and 6" deep. This piece is very heavy weighing around 40 lbs. We will ship with buyer paying all shipping expenses but we would prefer local pickup.

This is an Antique Medicine Cabinet. It is an older piece that is made out of wood with its original distressed old paint. The paint is now worn. Crackly, and chippy which gives it such a nice shabby look. It has the original door with original key for locking and a glass knob for pulling it open. Inside there are several shelves that is great for storage. This large cabinet can be hung on the wall, but you will need to add hooks to the back, as the original owner did, they screwed it into the wall as you can see the holes on the inside. Also, on the inside door these is a little hook for hanging things. They added the newer ball feet later, which just slip in and out, they can be taken off easily, they are not glued in or you can leave them for a different look. This can sit on a counter or another piece of furniture. Silver loss, mainly on edges. Has spring loaded ball bearing to keep the door closed that works well. White porcelain or glass knob. Wood shows wear, has pencil mark on top from someone adding the new hanger, has some screws inside for hanging directly to the wall. Has jar stains inside. Available for your consideration is a Vintage- Antique- Old Country Farmhouse Wood- Wooden Medicine Cabinet Fresh from the estate of a local farmhouse. Comes this wonderful old medicine cabinet. Made of wood- painted white. Mirrored front door and two inside glass shelves. Looking at the back of the cabinet we can see that it was once painted green. Some wear. Chipping, aging and dirtiness to the white paint. Glass shelves inside are in good condition but both do have a few little bumps. Fleabites, chips. Nothing visible when shelves are in place, I found them when I took them out for cleaning. Two mounting brackets on the back top for hanging are bent(probably happened when whoever took it off of the wall) You may be able to straighten them. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Circa 1920-1930 hanging medicine cabinet of painted wood with a mirror in the door and a metal towel rack hanging underneath. The distinctive towel rack on the bottom makes us think that is was actually from a barber shop. Overall height is 24" Width is 18" depth is 6" The cabinet itself is 17" high with an interior depth of 5" There are three shelves inside, two of the shelves have a lip on the front to prevent things from falling or rolling out. The crystal glass knob on the door is original and so is the mirror. The back section of the wooden gallery on top is a newer piece- obviously since it doesn't have a zillion old coats of paint on it! The silvering on the mirror does have some crazing and wear around the perimeter. This medicine cabinet ... morewas painted many times- once, someone painted right over a razor blade that was lying on the top. It would be a great little project to clean up and use in your own vintage bathroom. It would even work in a kitchen filled with spices and seasonings with a cute kitchen towel hanging below. The towel rod is really clever and opens up like a giant safety pin- I assume that one of those long linen rolls might have been used on it but it makes a nifty way to dispense a roll of paper towels this way.
