Antique Oak Bathroom Cabinet Towel Bar Silvered Mirror Medicine Chest Early 1900
Very. Very nice condition. This was made by Edward Mikkelsen& Co, Chicago Illinois. The stamped image on the door says, Manufactured by EDW MIKKELSEN& CO, Chicago Ill" Edward Mikkelsen was a cabinet maker and was best known as one of the founders and craftsmen of the Automatic Machine and Tool Co in 1898 with John Gabel. He continued to make the oak cabinets for John Gabel's amusement and music machines. Including jukeboxes, in the very late 1890's and very early 1900's, even though he sold his share in the company a year after they started. Mirror has some slight scratches in the silver. But overall it is very nice considering the age. Please view the sixth and seventh pictures to get an idea of how the mirror looks. The outside looks great with minor wear. On the inside, the wood piece that holds the mirror in has ... morepulled away a bit on one side where the wood split a little(see eighth picture) Still functioning properly, though. The back appears to be pine, but I am not a wood expert. It is not oak like the rest of the cabinet. There are two additional shelves. All shelves are in very good condition, with some minor staining. The towel bar is original and is removeable. I do not know if the white porcelain knob is original or not, but would assume that it is. Cabinet is 22 1/2" high x 16 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Vintage mid century modern green metal bathroom medicine cabinet. The cabinet is comprised of a center mirror door with two inside shelves. On each side of the mirror are two curved shelves. Below the mirror door is a towel bar. The cabinet measures 20 inches wide and 11 inches long. The depth. Including the cabinet door is almost 4 inches. Primitive Towel Cabinet/Medicine Cabinet(Peerless Co.)
This is a rough but charming towel cabinet produced and owed by Peerless Towel Supply Company and would compliment your primitive home. The cabinet number is written on the inside on a piece of paper in pencil! The number is 12398. These cabinets were rented out to restaurants and apartments and were under maintenance by the Peerless Supply Co. Now back to the description.When you open the door the inside has a piece of paper glued to it that reads Longaore 5-3720 apart 312. This lovely cabinet measures 28 inches long and approx 18.5 inches wide. There is a slight bow in the towel part of the rack. When I bought this rack it had some brand new towels in it. I do not think they were original to the cabinet but they are old. They come in a plastic bag and it reads A&P Finest Quality Food.This is a true piece of American history. This cabinet ... morecan be used anywhere not just a bathroom. I like the piece as is. Especially the crackling near the metal peerless co sign at the top but it could also be restored. Nice custom wood piece! This larger antique wall-hanging cabinet is supposed to have a glass insert. So the items placed on the three shelves can be viewed/ displayed. Like a china cabinet. The original glass insert is missing. The door has a white porcelain knob/handle. It's in wonderful condition. In my opinion, it has no need for any refinishing, etc. Cleaning? YES. and a new piece of glass. Of course there are a couple nicks, or scuffs. This should be expected, as it is used and it's old. The last photo I provided shows some roughness to one edge in the back corner. This is the only real noteworthy spot. There are two metal pieces on each upper corner on the back, for hanging. The thin ply-wood used on back looks a bit more"used" than the actual oak cabinet itself. Everything functions. Here is solid oak Victorian Medicine cabinet it is missing the door& the towel bar& where the towel bar attached the wood on both side is broken off looks like it probably rounded over& was broken off with the towel bar. you could add wood or maybe just cut these off if you dont care about adding the towel bar. nice large size 32" tall x 18 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" deep. the size of the openeing of the door is 15 3/16" wide x appx 16" tall but the hight of door could be taller or a little smaller or maybe use no door& have a open display case? because of the size of the box needed to ship. shipping to west coast could be a little high but it's because they charge on the box size not the actual weight on large items please check shipping calculator. shipping includes tracking& Full insurance. Antique Vintage Metal Commercial Cabinet / Mirror & Towel Holder Cabinet Shabby
Found this old metal cabinet with a mirror which I believe to be a commercial restroom towel holder. Has been repainted through out the years and under the paint on tag on front I can see Carman Mfg Corp. Pull Down. and a tag inside under knob that says Colsen. I know people redo these old metal cabinets. It is in reasonably solid condition for age. Measures approx. 18 H x 15 w x 9 Deep and very heavy. Does show some rust. See pictures.

Has holes on back for hanging on wall. A little dirty. But not rusted and in great shape, tight, solid and square. Original color looks to be vanilla white, would look nice repainted.

Vintage Farmhouse Hanging Wood Medicine Cabinet Towel Bar Mirror Cupboard
Here is an old vintage/ antique farmhouse medicine cabinet that is really in very vintage condition. The cabinet measures about 25 3/4" wide(at its widest. Along the bottom) and about 29 1/2" high including the towel bar along the bottom. Looks like this cabinet has been previously mounted in a couple of ways- there are some dangling wires still attached to the cabinet so perhaps it was hung by these, but I also can see holes in the back of the cabinet where it looks like it was mounted to a wall. However, because of the back design, this may have also been installed as a recessed cabinet at some point in time. Wood cabinet front is still in nice vintage shape and is painted a slightly off-white color and has three built in shelves. Mirror has black discoloration in multiple areas where the mirror background has deteriorated. The ... moreinside of the cabinet door looks to me to be a piece of corrugated cardboard, making me think this may have been a hand made cabinet, also because the towel bar appears to have been added to the bottom of the cabinet. I would think the mirror could be removed and replaced with a new mirror, or just taken out all together and replaced with a wood panel to turn this into a kitchen cabinet rather than a medicine cabinet. It has a great old look to it. The back is where this item really shows its age- looks like very old wood and shows some deterioration in the wood in multiple areas. The back portion of the cabinet, if using recessed, measures about 17" wide and 23 3/4" high. Looks like original hardware on the cabinet door, the knob actually pushes in to adjust the lever on the back of the door- however the door is'sticky' and while it opens and closes, it does not do so smoothly. Up for bid is this very nice Vintage 1950's Bathroom Medicine Cabinet with Light Fixture. Towel and Toilet Paper Holder. I put power to the unit and the lights work. The cabinet has two glass shelves. There is some pitting in on the chrome and paint on the light fixture. The toggle switch for the cabinet is on the bottom left light fixture and the two slot electrical receptor is on the bottom right light fixture. The overall dimensions are 23" X 22" X 7" and the dimensions of the recessed med box is 13" X 17" X 4" I would recommend local pick up as this unit could be damaged in shipping. It is 42" long. 17 3/4" deep, 30 1/2" to top of stand and 40 1/2" to top of back. We believe the wood is walnut and the back splash is framed. Two doors open for storage, original brass towel rack. Marble is in very good condition, white with a grey vein. No chips or cracks except for 1 small chip on back edge(see Photo 4) Casters on feet. Marble is not screwed down and lifts off for easy transportation. Top and back splash are fastened together. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Circa 1920-1930 hanging medicine cabinet of painted wood with a mirror in the door and a metal towel rack hanging underneath. The distinctive towel rack on the bottom makes us think that is was actually from a barber shop. Overall height is 24" Width is 18" depth is 6" The cabinet itself is 17" high with an interior depth of 5" There are three shelves inside, two of the shelves have a lip on the front to prevent things from falling or rolling out. The crystal glass knob on the door is original and so is the mirror. The back section of the wooden gallery on top is a newer piece- obviously since it doesn't have a zillion old coats of paint on it! The silvering on the mirror does have some crazing and wear around the perimeter. This medicine cabinet ... morewas painted many times- once, someone painted right over a razor blade that was lying on the top. It would be a great little project to clean up and use in your own vintage bathroom. It would even work in a kitchen filled with spices and seasonings with a cute kitchen towel hanging below. The towel rod is really clever and opens up like a giant safety pin- I assume that one of those long linen rolls might have been used on it but it makes a nifty way to dispense a roll of paper towels this way.
