There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Antique Dovetailed Medical Dental Barber Shop Wood Sterilizer Cabinet Tagsale. Here is a wonderful item to add to your collection. The cabinet has dovetailed corner that is somewhat unusual. As most just have have plain made corners. It is in overall very good used condition. The only real issue or damage that it has is a dent. In the wood, that is on the left side. You can see it in the image below. The dent is about 1/2" long and about 1/8" wide. The paint is chipped a little all the way around it, and that makes it look a little bigger. I don't know the maker or the age. The dovetailed corners suggest that it may be from the early 1900's. Dovetailed corners are a sign of high qaulity craftsmanship as they were more time consuming to make. I have no idea when it was painted. But it is old paint. It doesn't look like ... morefreshly painted. The paint has a few stains scattered around on it. Basically how you see it in the images is how it is going to look when you get it. This woudl make a super nice addition to yoru collection! It has little wood slides that held shelfs. Probably made of glass, but the shelfs are missing. It has some paint chips all scattered all around but no damage to the wood. Except for the dent. The door works good and has a fixture to keep it closed. I am not for sure of the type of wood that was used. But it looks like walnut. The back is looks to be a piece of paneling. Weight: 7.6 lbs unpacked. Macey Antique Oak 4 Drawer File Cabinet Dovetailed Orig Finish Mission Hardware
I think this antique oak 4 drawer Macey file cabinet is in very good vintage condition. It still retains the majority of the original dark oak finish. It is a bit scratchy on the top and has a few spots but I would leave it as is. I think a bit of scratch cover and a waxing would be sufficient to make it home ready. The interior of the cabinet and drawers are very clean for a vintage item. If you like to refinish items to a light oak look it would refinish nicely. It does have the original Macey Decal of Grand Rapids Mich. and all of the drawers have the original directional decals as well. The hardware is mission style so it would go well with arts and crafts furniture. It has a tiny seperation halfway up one side that is only about a 16th of an inch wide and causes no structurally concerns. Offered is a nice antique MACEY quarter sawn oak wood file box. Cabinet, with dovetailed corners and the original MACEY sticker. The cabinet measures 14" long, 7" wide, 5" tall, has its original heavy brass drawer pull, and has the original sliding adjustable card support. The condition is good with the original finish which exhibits great aged patina, the drawer which holds 3" x 5" cards slides easily, there are 2 age cracks on the back, and there are signs of age and use. OUTSTANDING Chinese Chippendale Wall Display cabinet Showcase c.1930 Dovetailed
This is simply an outstanding piece of chinese chippendale cabinetry. It is a wall mounted showcase or display cabinet with fitted interior to resemble miniature pagodas which create the perfect space for your fine chinese accessories. The cabinet measures 33 1/2" tall by 19" wide. It measures 3 1/2" deep. The wood tones are rich and full and the surface is in excellent shape. The trim of the cabinat frame is gold gilt as is the edges of the pagoda type shelving inside. The shelves inside are permanently fixed. Not adjustable and they are wood just like the cabinet itself. This cabinat dates to the 1930's, a period of chinese chippendale revival, and the original lock is still intact on the side. The only detraction to the piece at all is the key to that lock is missing, although I am sure it could be replaced. The cabinet ... moredoor still functions as it should even without the key. Top and bottom of cabinet are fully carved and every corner is dovetailed as picture shows. Back of case is black, and is wood panel as well. No damage to the cabinet, shelves, wood or any other part of the cabinet. The mounting brackets are present on the back, top of the cabinet. Just a fine piece of wrokmanship. We have this nice Tiger Oak Library Index File for sale. It is a very solid piece- drawers open and close as they should. The drawers and case are all made with dovetail design- no cracking in any of the wood. The cabinet has not been restored but has a nice patina to it. Great Vintage Wooden Box- has dovetail corners- metal latch. The oak wood is aged with a great patina to it. Very industrial. Would look great just about anywhere from a trendy loft apartment to a primitive-style home. And it's so useful. Too! Nice storage piece. Tucker File Box Antique quarter sawn oak desk top file. Features larger than normal 5" x 8" drawers. Has never been stripped and has it's original brass label. Could stand to be glued in a couple places along the bottom edge but is solid and stable just like it is. The finish has extreme wear and spots of paint as well as water& oil stains. Antique Arts Crafts Dovetailed Oak Macey 1 Drawer Desk File Index Cabinet Box
Up for bid is one antique. Arts and crafts Maceys quarter sawn oak single drawer file index. Measures 8" x 6" x 14. Dovetailed joints. Brass pull. Inside has adjustable index card back. Macey label on top. The condition of this piece is used. Front of drawer has a liquid stain running down front and the backside of the top of the drawer face has some roughage on either side. The Macey stamp is well worn also. The joinery on right front side is a bit loose. Right side of box has a spot of roughage-not bad but needs to be mentioned. Left side has a couple of spots that will pick off. If you want mint or pristine. This is not the box for you. Everything functions smoothly and it can be used as-is. It retains the original liner which could easily be replaced. It also has the original mirror. A conversion chart and a Ambassador car advertisement with various pins. It has 7 drawers and the original handle which is still very functional.
