I hauled this out of the basement of an old home, and it is showing some age ... morewear, most notably with a couple slices out of drawer faces. There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Macey Antique Oak 4 Drawer File Cabinet Dovetailed Orig Finish Mission Hardware
I think this antique oak 4 drawer Macey file cabinet is in very good vintage condition. It still retains the majority of the original dark oak finish. It is a bit scratchy on the top and has a few spots but I would leave it as is. I think a bit of scratch cover and a waxing would be sufficient to make it home ready. The interior of the cabinet and drawers are very clean for a vintage item. If you like to refinish items to a light oak look it would refinish nicely. It does have the original Macey Decal of Grand Rapids Mich. and all of the drawers have the original directional decals as well. The hardware is mission style so it would go well with arts and crafts furniture. It has a tiny seperation halfway up one side that is only about a 16th of an inch wide and causes no structurally concerns. Hi. Up for your consideration is a Vintage Globe Wer. Co. library catalog file cabinet/box. I believe it is made out of Tiger Oak. All the joints are dovetailed. This was an estate find. I have done nothing to it-no polish or Old English. It is a beautiful piece of History and would make a wonderful addition to someone's personal library! All the drawers are made to fix 3"x5" index cards and they all are still in fine working condition. On the top of the cabinet, at the far back edge it says'GLOBE WER.CO#9428-I-IAA-19-15-30-and I believe) $16.20" Two of us looked at it and we both think it is a dollar sign in front of the 16.20. Vtg Globe Wernicke File Box Alphabet Dividers in Dovetailed 3x5 Weis Card Box
Vintage Flip Top Weis Oak File box for 3 x 5 inch cards with a full set of"hard-to-find" vintage Globe Wernicke Alphabet Dividers. All dividers have green tabs at the top and say"Patented February 19. 1924; Globe-Wernicke; No. 8035; Made in the U.S.A. There is one tab for each letter of the alphabet(X& Y are combined) plus 21 extras. The label for the letter"L" has been replaced(handwritten) the rest are original printed labels. The box is nicely dovetailed and has the Weis sticker on the front. Sticker shows some wear(see photo) and there is a chip on one side of the box- see photo. Box measures 5 5/8 x 8 1/4 x 4 1/2. Minor wear& discoloration on the box should go away with a good polish.

Vintage Refinished Globe-Werneke Dovetailed Oak Card File
This 16-inch long by 7 3/8-inch wide by 5 3/8-inch high refinished oak card file is in excellent. Solid condition. To retain its original color, the wood was not sanded after the old finish was chemically stripped. Thus, original scratches underneath the new finish may be evident. Nevertheless, the final finish is very pleasing. The drawer has a fully functional wood card support that slides along a steel rod. The drawer pull is brown bakelite. The unit weighs 9 lbs. For safety, the bakelite drawer pull will be removed for shipping and placed inside the drawer. Reassembly will be straight forward. Buyer pays my actual cost of shipping or less which includes postage. A mandatory surcharge I have to pay, and the actual cost of a box if a free or recycled box is not available. Up for bid is one antique. Arts and crafts Maceys quarter sawn oak single drawer file index. Measures 8" x 6" x 14. Dovetailed joints. Brass pull. Inside has adjustable index card back. Macey label on top. The condition of this piece is used. Front of drawer has a liquid stain running down front and the backside of the top of the drawer face has some roughage on either side. The Macey stamp is well worn also. The joinery on right front side is a bit loose. Right side of box has a spot of roughage-not bad but needs to be mentioned. Left side has a couple of spots that will pick off. If you want mint or pristine. This is not the box for you. Everything functions smoothly and it can be used as-is.
