I hauled this out of the basement of an old home, and it is showing some age ... morewear, most notably with a couple slices out of drawer faces. There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Wood Library 3x5" Index Card 4 Drawer File Cabinet
Offered as a'buy it now is this 4 drawer 3" x 5" file cabinet manufactured by Shaw Walker. The overall dimensions are 14" wide x 15" deep x 9-1/2" height. There is a crack on one side which is the result of a slight warp in a panel. It has been refinished and the color is very close to original. The japonned hardware is original. The bottom left hand drawer face has been repaired also. All of the interior hardware works as it should. The felt pads cover what was hardware for some sort of interior block or divider. There is a laminate piece that was placed on the top. There are 2 drilled holes in the top. Faded paint? markings throughout. One drawer pull is split, there is one pull missing. Wheels were attached on the bottom with ply wood, can be removed. This stands 26.6" tall minus the wheels and ply wood. 33" in width. Very heavy. It does have a lot scratches and scuffs and there is a white mark on the left side of it. Then on top of the piece one side is darker. The back of the piece there is a pretty big deep scratch. The four drawers do not have the same color, I am not for sure if it is different wood or just a different finish, but they are not the same color. The joints might not be as tight as they once were, but once again this is a very old piece. I would consider this piece to be very clean. The bottom is not as smooth finished as the rest of the cabinet and it is full of scratches and dings. Some type of oil or finish has been applied to it and the inside of the box and the bottom of the drawers does not have the oil applied to it. I have made a video at the bottom of the page so you can see how the drawers open and close. Also two of the four drawers has a small hole on the front of them and they all have scratches and dings.

App. 15 1/2 H x 13 1/4 W x 16 D inches in size(depth includes handles/pulls) Unmarked. 3 sections, each with 2 drawers; stacks like a barrister bookcase. Interior of each drawer is app. 5 1/8 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches high(for 3x5 index cards) All drawers still have their original sliding plates. This excellent item is made of solid oak hardwood with an old veneer layer(see photos) There are 4 drawers with a different style of pull than the others. Measures appx 40"x16"x16" Overall condition is USED- Obvious signs of age. Wear, and use- this is not a perfect piece, but all drawers are intact and functional. This is a listing for a MACEY Single Library Card Catalog Drawer Cabinet! This is a stackable cabinet and has beautiful dovetail corners inside and out. The drawer pull is brass. It has legs on the bottom and grooves on the top to stack multiple units. Someone painted the bottom white. Not sure if that's original or not. There is a piece of veneer missing from the back, approximately 5-1/4" x 4-1/8" Overall size of the cabinet is 14" x 8" x 6" not counting the drawer face.
