Rare Antique Metal& Glass Apothecary Medical Pharmacy- Vintage Industrial Cabinet. This is the coolest medical cabinet. I have not seen anything like this one on EBay since I have been looking in this catagory. I remember seeing this cabinet when I was a kid in Dr Mc Danials office in 1962 with all the bottles and jars so clean and orderly. This medical cabinet came from a closed doctors office in eastern Nebraska. It appears to be the original paint with the original beveled glass on the sides. You are bidding on a vintage metal medical cabinet. It is made of heavy gauge steel with a beveled glass door and beveled glass sides. Great looking Cabinet with a vintage patina. It would look great in any home, office, game room or man cave. Painted and dark gray with slight green tint. The gray paint is very old with a nice patina, but I think originally this cabinet was painted white. It has some wear and tear with stretches chips, and some small dings and dents. The feet(base) ha ve some rust but it is still very solid. NO key for the lock on the upper door. There was a small hole in the top that has been filled(possibly for a wire for a light) There is a small hole in the back upper left corner. But not very notic e able. Mid century dental cabinet made by Pelton& Crane of Detroit. MI. Pelton& Crane was founded in 1900 by a dentist and an electrical engineer and is still in business making appliances, furniture and accessories for use in dental offices. This cabinet most likely dates from the early to mid 1900's and is mostly made of metal painted a soft yellow color. It has a two tiered top surface, probably with the extra black shelf for use holding instruments or tools. The top drawer contains a white enamel dish and has a glass or crystal knob. The lower cabinet has ridges in the side for shelves and sits behind a bevelled glass door. Arched feet and an overhanging top. There is a metal company tag inside the top drawer, as you can see from the pictures. Overall. This piece is in fair to good condition, but does have some wear consistent with ... moreage and use. There are chips to the paint in several places, most notably at corners and edges and across the top of the black tray. Some of the exposed metal has minor rusting. Also the knob for the lower cabinet is missing and we do not have shelves for the interior. Otherwise, there are no breaks or visible repairs. Ranging from items of monetary value such as a few unopened Squibb Ether canisters and unused Premo 1cc insulin glass syringes with boxes, to oddities such as dental ligature wire from the 1940's and packages of colloidal oatmeal. For auction is one vintage metal medical/dental storage cabinet from the 1930's or 1940's. Made by the Hamilton Manufacturing Company. It is in excellent original condition. It is painted a slightly ivory white, and is free of major scratches or dents. It has been thoroughly cleaned, waxed and detailed. Beautiful metal pulls with black enamel trim. The black top is wood with a black paint or lacquer. There is a spot on the backsplash where there are some permanent spatter marks that can only be seen in a certain light. There is also a faint stain in the surface about a couple inches across(see photo) There is some mild wear to the paint and metal surfaces(on the black base, most noticeably) and a large stain on the bottom of the cabinet inside. To the left is seven drawers with original chrome pulls which has an apothecary style to it because of the different sizes of the drawers. The cabinet is on four swivel original casters which makes it easy to move around. While it is in style now with its"chippy" paint and shabby color. It would be well worth refurbishing it. The paint finish is rough. Paint is scratched and missing in areas to reveal a battleship gray color underneath. It does have some dings and dents which add to the character. RARE! Attention Collectors! This beautiful little metal cabinet. Painted white measures approximately 14” tall x 12-1/2” wide by 8” deep. Inside shelf dimensions are approximately 11” wide by 7” deep of which there are three removable shelves. Glass front, glass sides with metal back. This was made to hang on the wall perhaps even in an ambulance. Here is a great early metal industrial medical cabinet. Other than the additional coat of paint that was added at some time. I am quite certain everything about this cabinet is all original. It stands 63" tall, is 22 1/2" wide, and 16 1/2" deep. It is all metal with a glass door and two glass shelves. Very solid, heavy metal, and the cabinet is quite heavy. The inside hinges have a wonderful look to them and it appears that all of the hardware is original. The four legs on the bottom have screw in feet that are all adjustable. The two glass shelves have some minor chips/roughness around the edges. There is a bulb on the top front side for lighting the cabinet. However, the electrical cord is bare where it enters the cabinet back, and I have not attempted to plug it in- worse case is that it would need to be rewired. This cabinet ... morehas a great deco look to it, and I believe it may have originally been painted that light aquamarine/pale blue green color. The later coat of paint is chipping in places and the back side has a real'crackle' paint look to it. A very nice solid piece of history. 6' Wide Dentist / Doctor Metal Medical Cabinet 4 Door w/ Beveled Glass Iron Legs
This auction is for a rare 4 door dental/ doctor's medical cabinet that was probably made by Max Wocher and Sons. There are no markings. Overall dimensions are about- 6 foot tall by about 6 foot wide and it sticks out from the wall about 14" The glass is heavy 1/4" thick all the way around& inside. So with the metal case, its a heavy piece. It has an interior dividing glass, 10/ten glass shelves and the glass panels the rest of the way around the outside of the cabinet& doors, are all beveled glass. The panels are all easy to remove for transportation, recomended. I spent 10 mins scraping the paint and it would be an easy one to strip the rest of the way to metal, then scotchbrite pad the metal to shine it a bit and wax for a killer bare metal look.This would make a great curio cabinet and a great accent piece. Wonderful 5' 10" tall Brown doctors cabinet in pretty good condition with very minor blemishes. The doctors cabinet has not been cleaned and is offered as found in the estate. With very minimal effort and mostly house hold cleaning supplies this cabinet can almost be cleaned up to original condition. The chrome is not pitted and only has light surface discoloration near the top lock mechanism(depicted) This can be removed with a soft green dish sponge. The cabinet is painted brown and looks great that way. I hear. Care and time was taken with this paint job" claims the owner. The castors roll fine as do the hinges on the top and bottom door. All the glass looks original and is in impeccable condition. The top lock is missing its internal mechanism. This is an old 1950s cabinet made by the Livingston Co. It is complete and mostly solid. One back leg is bent and will need to be bent back(metal is lightweight) Surface rust in areas but no holes. The cabinet has surface rust and is not rusted through. Medical cabinet as seen in"Forrest Gump" A cabinet just like this one(green in color) is part of the set in the scene when"young Forrest" is being fitted for his"magic legs" braces) There are two green cabinet behind the doctor. One of them is the same model as the one I'm selling. Pretty interesting! This is the second relist. I hope it sells but after this try I am getting shelves and it will become a display at my shop. Good luck! This one is in good shape. It has a dull off-white finish which may be original(not 100% sure but the paint is very old) It still has the original hinges and latches. The door closes properly and is not warped. There is no key and the push button latch works but is missing the top rivet. There are scratches from use and the paint is worn.as it should be. The glass sides and front ... moreare good but there are no shelves. The shelf pins(brackets) are present. They are built in. The shelves would be spaced about 6.5" apart. The casters look to be original. One of the casters does come out when you lift the cabinet but it does roll. There are no modifications to this unit. No cracks or holes. There was a light in the top that was affixed using two-sided tape. I took that out. I don't know the country of origin. Local pick up only please. I will deliver it within 80 miles of San Antonio. TX but would need to be reimbursed for the gas. I work every day except Sunday so it may take a couple of weeks. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping. 1920's era White Antique Steel and Metal Medical Cabinet
Very nice steel and glass medical cabinet. Base has Queen Anne bent cabriole legs with castors and the 3 drawers are very deep. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and payment.
