This is a vintage Hoosier Cabinet Flour Sifter. This is an original piece and needs to be put back into a cabinet and put back to use. The item still has some of the original white paint on the wood with all the tin intact. The sifter unit has some rust but is intact and even has the original wood ball on the handle. I couldn't get the cap off for the picture and like most things on this piece needs some elbow grease and some attension but a solid piece to work from. Dimensions are approximately 10x10 for the bin assembly, and the drawer slide is about 10 1/2" x 11" The entire assembly is about 9 inches tall when the bin is slid into the drawer slide, 8.5" tall for just the bin assembly. Vintage tall Flour Bin for Hoosier type cabinets. This Bin is 24" tall. 10" wide, and 8" deep. Overall it is in pretty good condition, but has a couple of minor issues. First, there is no lid, and no Sifter cap. Second, the Sifter portion is screwed on to the bottom of the Bin. It's definitely in place, however the catches and attaching pins are gone. If you feel you desperately need them, they're pretty easy to make and can be soldered on. The inside of this Bin is remarkably clean. And the front glass is intact. Up for auction is a Farmhouse Hoosier cabinet tin flour bin sifter with original'swingout' mounting brackets. The top of the bin flips up for adding flour. The screen. Sifter, and crank are all original and in perfect condition. There is some slight surface rust but it could be easily buffed out. It measures 10.5" deep, 11" wide, and 14" height; the bracket measures 3.75" diameter and is set 13" apart. The bracket can be removed by simple cotter pins. Hoosier Style Kitchen Cabinet With Enamel Work Surface And Flour Bin/sifter
This is a wooden kitchen cabinet that dates to the 1940s. The top and bottom are two separate units attached with brackets. The countertop work surface is enamel. The wood is not of high quality. I started stripping it and learned that the wood was not probably intended to be exposed. As it was a mix of species and grains. So I stopped stripping it and just repainted. The back of the upper part was so water damaged that it needed to be replaced, so I used bead board plywood painted red. There are still some missing knobs and latches. The tambour door was missing when I got it but the metal tracks were still there. They are in one of the drawers now for safe keeping. The flour. In with sifter tips out for filling. Original Hoosier Large Flour Bin Sifter Tin Metal Oval Glass Window Good Vintage
Another barn find along with pine wood trunk also listing currently. This one is unknown to me as to specific model. Looks like silvered tin construction with offset side featuring glass oval window 4 7/8" long x 2 3/8" wide. Paint residue but no cracks/chips and clear glass otherwise. Inside there is a rectangular metal frame holding rectangular cut glass insert and frame has impressed"PAT 0? which I obviously can't read without further cleaning- there may be a 7 somewhere in there, and glass is kept tight against body of bin by a nifty shaped pin. Top of bin is square shape 11 1/4" x 10 3/4" and recessed edge accommodates lid insert which is about 11" x 10 1/2" with foldable metal pull attached. Square upper is about 9 1/2" deep before inward funnel with sifter attached to the bottom. Sifting ... moremechanism fits over 5" opening in bin and has 5 1/4" diameter, held on both sides by bolts attached either side of container. What appears to be brass nuts and metal bolt assembly good, sifter crank has original porcelain knob and blades intact but needs cleaning as it is rusty. Bottom flange rusted just below collar. Paint, rust and years on this original cabinet bin/sifter attachment but a good rehab and/or parts piece. About 18" long in this state when assembled. Hoosier Cupboard With Flour Sifter & Extendable White Enamel Table Top
This sale is for a Hoosier Cupboard. The Hoosier is in very good condition. It has a flour sifter and 3 metal racks/holders attached to the top inside cupboard doors. There is an extendable white enamel table top with blue trim on the base. The inside of the top cupboards are painted white as is the flour sifter. The base of the cupboard has a bottom bread drawer that is lined with tin. There is also a large sliding drawer in bases large cupboard. It comes apart in 2 pieces for easy moving. It did have a Hoosier Indiana Tag however someone painted over it and when it was refinished the tag came off. This is a pick up only item.

Sellers Cabinet Hoosier Style Flour Sifter Wood Oak Slag Stained Glass Windows
A fine example of the Hoosier style cabinet so popular in the early part of the last century. Oak and mixed woods construction with amber slag glass in the top cabinet doors. The sifter is intact and working. The tambour side-rolling doors are missing. And the latch to the center top door was replaced at some point with a hook and eye that works quite well for the purpose. As in many of these cabinets, the trays are missing from the bottom large cupboard and the sliding top is gone from the metal bread drawer. The cabinet measures 70" tall by 40" wide and 24" deep when the porcelain top is slid back, about 30-32" when it is slid out to make a larger work surface. Nice sifter for your hoosier cabinet. Not sure what kind of cabinet this fits. It measures app. 10 1/2" across. 9 1/2" deep and 17 1/2" from the highest point to the bottom of the sifter. VINTAGE ORIGINAL HOOSIER FLOUR BIN SIFTER BOWL W/Glass Window View
Up for your consideration is an original vintage flour bin for a" Hoosier" style cabinet. Most of these cabinets are refered to as"Hoosier" This will fit many diff. cabinets as long as they have room for this size bin. Dont forget when measuring to allow room for the side bracket that this will need to swing out. This one has a pin on each side that would have attached to arms that would let this swing out of the cabinet so they could fill it with out the hassle of reaching up and into the cabinet to fill this. The flour bin measures; 30" tall in the front including bin and sifter funnel. It's 10" wide. And 10" across(wide) The lip of the sifter is tapered the bottom edge is" and then it increases to" at the top of the lip. The pins on the side are just under 1/4" with a hole for a cotter ... morekey and are located 1" from the top edge of the bin. This is in fair condition. This has surface rust and paint and some minor dents. There is nothing that I would call major damage to this. As with most of these original bins this will need some cleaning/ restoring. With a wire brush a little elbow grease and a can of spray paint this will look great in your cabinet. THIS IS A VINTAGE BIN AND NOT A REPRODUCTION PIECE. Huge Flour Jar Sifter for GREENCASTLE Brand Hoosier Cabinet HTF
Not many of these out there.it's the flour sifter/jar for a"Greencastle" Indiana Hoosier Cabinet. It measures 17 1/2" high and 11" in diameter. The sifter opening is 5 1/4" and the top opening is 7 1/4" It has the bracket but does not have the holder that holds the jar in the cabinet. It's also missing the lid and the metal sifter cone. I've had this for many years thinking I would run on a cabinet that was missing this jar. But. I no longer am in the hunt. It is COMPLETE including the lid/cap covering the sifter screen and the lift-off lid for filling the bin. It even has the metal hardware part that attaches to the cabinet with the side rails and the stops on each side. The sifter bin itself measures 10" square and 8 3/4" high. Including the hardware. It measures 11" wide and 9 1/4" high. This flour sifter is in very good complete working condition. The old white paint job isn't the best; it has some streaks and runs. Sale fail. So back up for auction: This flour sifter was installed in the kitchen of our 1911 French farmhouse. We are re-modeling and did not find a place for it. Good, working condition. Easy to install. Other than wear to original paint, I do not see any dings or damage of any kind. The sifter is 10 3/4 inches wide, 10 3/4 inches tall and 9 5/8 inches deep. It slides out to have access to the lid for refilling. Very fun addition to an antique kitchen. I hated to see it go.

It has pull out porcelain table top which extends to 28" and porcelain bottom in the roll slats compartment. The porcelain in the great vintage condition! RARE UNIQUE Antique Vintage Hoosier Cabinet Oak, Baking Center with flour sifter
Purchase a piece of American history! The item(s) for sale is a GENUINE VINTAGE item bought with other items that belonged to army sergeant. Gordon H. King, d.o.b. 12-17-1910. He enlisted in 1945 during WWII. He served during 3 wars- WWII. Korean War, and VIETNAM WAR. He retired at Ft. Benning, GA on February 6, 1973 after 28 years of service. He was retired for 23 years when he died on Feb 13. 1996 at the ago of 86. These items were purchased at auction. Were neatly stored by his heirs, and not touched or used for almost 30 years. Anyone with an eye can see that a little love a restoration is all that's needed to bring this beautiful piece back to life. beautiful enough to be used in its current condition. Pieces is solid wood and structurally sound. Almost 100% certain it's Hoosier because of the red counter and some other features. ... moreHowever. This has not been authenticated by an appraiser. Great to restore; repurpose, This item is unique and rare. As is sale no refunds. History- Hoosier cabinets were manufactured between the 1890's and the 1920's and seemingly come in many configurations. Common features include a retractable counter top which was usually enamel. A built in flour sifter, a bread storage drawer and several cabinets and drawers for storage. They were popular because in that age, kitchens did not have built in cabinets and storage and the Hoosier cabinet filled that need. There is no set pattern for the drawer and cabinet configurations. Typically there's a space with a glass door for showing off your pretty pieces while the rest of the cabinet is completely utilitarian. Usually the enamel counter has a painted rim, usually in red or dark blue/black. I have been told that the original color was red. Drawers and cabinet space were usually equipped with racks and hooks. The cabinets themselves are not flashy or fancy. They were meant for the kitchen and not meant to be a show piece.

This flour sifter is is attached inside the door of an old Hoosier. Dimensions: Door front:12 1/8" W x 18 11/16" L Depth from front of door to back of Bin 10" Overall Height(from top of door to bottom of Sifter) 25" Not sure of the exact brand. The door front of this is only the laminate that was on the original door I've left it"as is" so you can see the size and style of door to match the piece you are restoring. The parts of the door do not stay together since the glue has decomposed. Saves you the trouble of taking it apart to slide a new piece in the center. Antique vintage hoosier cabinet with mfg name plate in metal on it that says NAPANEE. The back has"Ivory and Green" printed on it so that must have been the original colors. The hardware appears to be original as is the lovely yellowish color flour sifter and bin. SIZE 10.5" X 11" TOTAL HEIGHT IS 10 1/2 INCHES. DIAMETER OF THE OUTSIDE CAP IS 2 1/2 INCHES. THERE IS A DENT ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SIFTER SEE PHOTO. THE WOODEN CRANK KNOB IS IN GOOD CONDITION.
