Vintage 1 Drawer Antique Oak Library Bureau File Card Catalog Index Yawman Erbe
This listing is for a nice vintage cabinet by the Yawman and Erbe It is a one-drawer example. With the original brass drawer pull, and brass tag that reads"Y and E" It has the original adjustable sliding card holder in the drawer. Everything operates smoothly, the back however is missing(see picture) and there is some paint splatter on the front. These files were in common use in the early part of the 20th century in libraries, schools, and offices and were built to last. This example has wonderful quartersawn oak wood grain patterns and quality dovetailed construction with a few small cracks on the sides from over the years, but does not affect the overall condition. The dimensions of this file are approx. 7.5" wide by 16" deep by 10.5" tall.quite a bit taller than a standard card catalog. It is a Globe Wernicke four drawer library card file cabinet. It is made out of quarter sawn oak and appears to have the original finish. The cabinet is 9 1/4" tall x 17" deep x 14" wide. Really nice antique 4 drawer Maple wood library card catalog has great looks to be hand done dovetailing. The cabinet is 9 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/2 inches wide and 17 inches deep and weighs 27 pds. The drawers hold 3 x 5 cards. In good condition other than the rods that go in the bottom of the drawers are gone in the drawers but that makes it nice that the standard 3 x 5 card will fit it and there are some scratches. Tape residue, few small hairlines on the top, rubs, stains, average wear for its age. Did not find a manufacturers' name on this but in one of the drawers were some numbers as you can see in picture 8. These cabinets are good for a lot of things and look great. There is an old repair to the veneer on the top and a few scratches and scuff marks. The outside has a nice patina. The inside mechanism is complete with slider that holds cards upright. It works smoothly and is nice and solid. There is a partial maker's label which appears to be redish with a gold border. The letters that can be somewhat read appear to be"cide" or"eis" Measures: approximately 15" deep x 7" wide x 5.5" high. Drawer holds 3" x 5" cards. Hi. Up for your consideration is a Vintage Globe Wer. Co. library catalog file cabinet/box. I believe it is made out of Tiger Oak. All the joints are dovetailed. This was an estate find. I have done nothing to it-no polish or Old English. It is a beautiful piece of History and would make a wonderful addition to someone's personal library! All the drawers are made to fix 3"x5" index cards and they all are still in fine working condition. On the top of the cabinet, at the far back edge it says'GLOBE WER.CO#9428-I-IAA-19-15-30-and I believe) $16.20" Two of us looked at it and we both think it is a dollar sign in front of the 16.20. It is a 4 drawer cabinet that has the original slide adjusters in each drawer. It is dovetailed made as pictured. The cabinet measures 19 ¾” x 16” and 13 ¾” tall. It is in great shape as pictured. It is solid oak except for the back which is a veneer. There are some chips in the back veneer as pictured… nothing big. On one side. The wood has split, but this a minor cosmetic issue as the joints remain solid. There is an ERIE sticker on top, and we think it is the Erie Railroad. Vintage Wooden Card Catalog-2 Drawer Wood Library Index File-Dovetail Drawers
Up for auction is an excellent vintage wooden two drawer card catalog. This piece measures 16 1/2 x 15 7/8 x 6 5/8" and features two drawers with dovetail detail. This is a vintage piece. So it does show sign of past use, including scratches, scrapes, and dings on the surfaces. At some point, it looks as though the original drawer pulls were replaced with metal knobs, which you can see in the photographs. The drawers still have the metal card catalog framework inside, and I can move the framework back and forth from the bottom. I have not cleaned or polished this piece, but I would imagine that it would look even better with a little care. Please view the photos carefully, as they best describe the condition of the item being sold.

Here is a really nice antique tiger oak library Index 4 drawer Card Catalog made by Amberg File& Index. Genuine. Circa early 1900's. Nice aged patina. Quarter sawn oak construction with dovetailed drawers. I am not sure all are the original drawer pulls-the bottom 2 are the same, but the other 2 are different. All 4 drawers have label holders. Drawers open and close smoothly. The original block of wood inside the drawer remains in all 4 drawers. It measures approx. 15 1/2 inches x 15.5 inches and 11.75 tall. Nice, well built. Weighs about 26 lbs. Shows ordinary wear, dings, markings etc. Very good overall condition. There is a half torn off label with a zip code from Rittman, Ohio on the side. Very nice collectible!

Vintage Industrial Wood Card Catalog Four Drawer Library Index Card Organizer
Measures 13x13 1/2 x 9 inches. It could use some attention like a refinish. I will leave that up to the new owner. It does not have a maker but does have four capital letters on the left upper corner(FBVE) which I believe it stands for Federal Board Of Vocational Education. And to the right the numbers 2- 1006. It is made of wood and appears to have some light water damage on the bottom. All four drawers open and close without a problem. It also appears to have all its original hardware. Wood Library 3x5" Index Card 4 Drawer File Cabinet
Offered as a'buy it now is this 4 drawer 3" x 5" file cabinet manufactured by Shaw Walker. The overall dimensions are 14" wide x 15" deep x 9-1/2" height. There is a crack on one side which is the result of a slight warp in a panel. It has been refinished and the color is very close to original. The japonned hardware is original. The bottom left hand drawer face has been repaired also. All of the interior hardware works as it should. The felt pads cover what was hardware for some sort of interior block or divider. Greetings! You are bidding on One(1) Macey Co. Dark Golden Oak Dual Drawer File Library Card Catalog Box. The box is constructed of beautiful Dark Golden Oak and is in very good condition. The box is very heavy and is constructed extremely well with tongue and groove construction. There are very light scuffs and some old light scratches but the patina is beautiful on this box. The file box features a Macey Decal in gold on the top front of the box. There are six drawers each with an adjustable depth feature. The adjustable drawer dividers work fine. Vintage filing cupboard system in oak. 8 drawers and one door. 4 drawers pull out and are half way covered on inside top with wood before opening. Top left drawer has scotch tape on inside. Finish worn off front in places. One drawer pull broken. Very heavy. Weighs 16 lbs. measures 17" wide by-0" deep by 12"tall. Relisted with a Lower"Buy It Now" and Reserve. Here we have a stunning 6 Drawer Library File Card Catalog Cabinet in Beautiful golden Oak. This came from a Private Library in a California estate. It is in very nice to excellent condition. This is about as nice as they get. a beautiful piece worthy of use and/or display just about anywhere. I don’t know the manufacturer(Globe. Remington Rand, Gaylord Brothers. Sole Makers? but the craftsmanship of this piece is superb. For example: the drawers are all wood(no plastic here) with solid oak fronts the Dovetailing on the front of the drawersis intricate and precise with 4 dovetails instead of the typical 2 or 3. There is also dovetailing along each side of the top. see pics) All the drawers and slots are numbered and were individually fitted. The brass pulls are nice originals and are ... morethe style that have 4 mounting screws also indicative of the higher end pieces instead of the typical 2. They are showing a bit of wear as is typical for a piece this age. The metal card sliders(see pic) are all present. The tongue and groove construction on the backs of the drawers also indicates excellent craftsmanship with 6 detailed notches.
