Old Antique OAK Hoosier Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. Antique 1911 Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet Inside Oak Wood Shelf Rack 12" X 21" X 5"
Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. This was just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is a solid oak wood rack that came off the inside of the large door on the base. No screws are included for the piece. Made of all oak the dowels are thru drilled then edge nailed to hold them in place, gives it a rough, primitive appearance. The finish is original and while dirty it has great patina. The shelf portion has bowed over time from weight, truly helps show it's age. It is 21" wide, 12" tall on the brackets and is 5" deep overall. Could be used anywhere a primitive look is desired. It starts at $20 and will ship for $10. Rustic Antique Oak Medicine Cabinet-Hoosier Markings on the back
I have a rustic oak medicine cabinet for auction today. It looks like some of the shelves have been replaced. On the back of the cabinet is Hoosier several times and some other printing. What I do not know is if this is the manufacturing marks or someone made the cabinet out of material that was stamped Hoosier. Either way. If you are looking for a rustic, country cabinet to finish your remodel, or give your bathroom that one of a kind, country feel this would be a great addition to your home. The cabinet measures 18 and half inches tall, 15 inches wide and just short of 6 inches deep. There is a glass knob for a pull, it doesn't stay closed real well, but someone who is more mechanically gifted than I could probably fix it easily. I simply used a little cardboard to keep it shut. Gorgeous Antique-Vintage Hoosier Style Oak Kitchen Cabinet
Beautiful antique hoosier style cabinet! Not scratched or beat up. A piece you can really show off in your home. Two small marks on the porcelian, otherwise, good and clean. It's two pieces, stands about six foot high and four feet across. One of the nicest old hoosier cabinets I have ever seen. Everyone was always in awe of it when they came in. I've had it for years and always took good care of it. I bought a smaller home and I can no longer accommodate it. If you want one to show off and be proud of, this is the one for you. This is an Antique Hoosier. It is in very nice condition. See pictures. It measures 42"x25"x67" The metal shelf pulls out for additional work space. This is a nice one! History The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. was incorporated in 1899 with John M. Maring is President. Houses of the period were frequently not equipped with built-in cabinetry. And the lack of storage space in the kitchen became acute. Hoosier adapted an existing furniture piece, the baker's cabinet, which had a similar structure of a table top with some cabinets above it(and frequently flour bins beneath) By rearranging the parts and taking advantage of(then) modern metal working, they were able to produce a well-organized, compact cabinet which answered the home cook's needs for storage and working space. Hoosier cabinets remained popular into the 1920s. ... moreBut by that time houses began to be built with more modern kitchens with built-in cabinets and other fixtures. Thus supplanted, the Hoosier largely disappeared. They remain common on the antique market, however, and are still used as supplemental cabinets.

Hoosier Antique Cabinet - Natural Oak - Originally made in Indiana
This is an authentic Hoosier made in Indiana. The original pasted manufacturer's labels are still readable on the back of the units. This is in two parts. The top consists of a tin lined flour bin with dispenser. The glass is original in the doors. The clasps need some TLC but are original. The only change is the bottom section drawer pulls appear to have been replaced but could be restored. The bottom section top piece actually pulls out to allow for more workspace. There is a"hidden" cutting board beneath the work surface. It's in VG condition with the exception of the bottom unit main cabinet door which has split but can be restored. The bottom unit is on wheels. We love this piece but don't have room for it in our newly remodeled kitchen.

Purchase a piece of American history! The item(s) for sale is a GENUINE VINTAGE item bought with other items that belonged to army sergeant. Gordon H. King, d.o.b. 12-17-1910. He enlisted in 1945 during WWII. He served during 3 wars- WWII. Korean War, and VIETNAM WAR. He retired at Ft. Benning, GA on February 6, 1973 after 28 years of service. He was retired for 23 years when he died on Feb 13. 1996 at the ago of 86. These items were purchased at auction. Were neatly stored by his heirs, and not touched or used for almost 30 years. Anyone with an eye can see that a little love a restoration is all that's needed to bring this beautiful piece back to life. beautiful enough to be used in its current condition. Great to restore; repurpose, This item is unique and rare. As is sale no refunds. History- Hoosier cabinets were manufactured between the 1890's and the 1920's and seemingly come in many configurations. Common features include a retractable counter top which was usually enamel. A built in flour sifter, a bread storage drawer and several cabinets and drawers for storage. They were popular because in that age, kitchens did not have built in cabinets and storage and the Hoosier cabinet filled that need. There is no set pattern for the drawer and cabinet configurations. Typically there's a space with a glass door for showing off your pretty pieces while the rest of the cabinet is completely utilitarian. Usually the enamel counter has a painted rim, usually in red or dark blue/black. I have been told that the original color was red. Drawers and cabinet space were usually equipped with racks and hooks. The cabinets themselves are not flashy or fancy. They were meant for the kitchen and not meant to be a show piece.

Looks like it was glued. with roll around front center door. I had it made. Has flour bin, 7 ribbed hoosier spice jars. Missing is 1 latch. Please note the picture. Hello up for sale is a very nice Antique Oak Hoosier Cabinet. I dont know alot about them. I am helping a widower sell it(downsizing) Im not sure if it has been refinished, but if it has its been years. All intact has the floor sifter under the upper cabinet, all the doors and glass are original. The work table pulls out for added work space and is original. It has had many years of bread and pies made on it. It has dents and dimples but no rust and complete. From what I can tell the only thing missing is the bag that goes in the top left cabinet above the shifter. you can get those on ebay I have seen them while researching this) Also I know it does not have termites because house was just tented. It never had them or shows damage of them but its good to know) Please ask any questions. She told me that at least 20 yrs ago they paid 900.00 ... moreand had to drive to Tampa Florida to pick up. Antique Hoosier, Boone, 1900-1930, Dutch, Oak, Baking, Cabinet
Completely restored Boone Hoosier cabinet. Each piece has been taken apart and put back together just like it would have been originally. New oak plywood has been put in the doors and on the back of the top along with new wooden casters. The original plywood remains on the back of the bottom, complete with the stamp. The porcelain top is in great condition with slight wear. Flour bin is original and lowers down on brackets. The drawers were stripped and given three coats of enamel paint to give it a clean glass like finish. The bread drawer is original to the cupboard and the jars included are a rare frosted/stippled pattern, seven spices jars, two are shakers, and one coffee jar. All hinges and latches are original accept for one period correct reproduction latch. Meat grinder bracket is the same one that was on the cupboard when new and ... morethe meat grinder is a genuine antique meat grinder in perfect working condition. We are offering for sale: Antique Solid Oak Hoosier Cabinet. Like all older furniture. It has a few issues.there is a rat hole that was chewed into the bottom back of the cabinet, we left it, thought it was cool. The back could use some bracing or a new back to keep it solid. The wood is beautiful. On the top section(it's in two sections) there are 2 glass doors with shelves and a flour bin that pulls out. The bottom is all oak also, it has three drawers, and a large door. It's missing the bread board, but one could easily be made. The bottom of the large section on the bottom is metal. This is a true antique. When you open the drawers, you can see a space between the boards. It makes a great statement and is great for storage and display. I had all my Jade-ite glass displayed in it. I can take more photos if you ask. The cabinet ... moremeasures- top: 39" wide and 12" deep and stands 40" tall.
