The tambour roll is 13" tall, 22 1/4" wide, all doors in the top section are 11 1/4" wide, and are 18 1/4" and 35 1/4" tall. In the base the right hand drawers are all 10 1/4" wide. 21" front to back. They have depths of 2 3/4" 4, and 8 3/4" deep. Behind the two doors you will find. Two original wire baskets for lids or pots and pans. Also two original pull out shelves. These shelves are usually missing. Behind the large left door in the top section. Antique "Hoosier" Kitchen Cabinet Metal Potato Meal Drawer for Parts (T)
This is an original drawer from an Antique"Hoosier" type Kitchen Cabinet. This one is the metal potato or meal drawer. The metal is rusty and is rusted through in 3 or 4 spots. The oak front needs to be reattached. It has the original handle and oak front. It needs an opening to be about 15 1/2" wide. 20 1/2" deep, and 9 1/4" tall. Those are the measurements of the drawer. Antique Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. Part of my collection an Antique Hoosier Cabinet. Found in a house clean out in Pa. The Cabinet was painted, I stripped and stained Cabinet and just waxed it with bees wax. The cabinet is beautiful. The enamel top is very nice with only very minimal nips on edges and some minor wear to work top, Butter yellow top with green edges, pulls out and locks into place from underneath. The back and bottom shelf under cabinet was replaced from age wear. Sturdy construction, just needs some bin pulls as the extra holes are present and magnets to hold doors shut. There are 2 side antique tin bread drawers and 2 center drawers. Has old glass knobs. The roll top rolls smoothly and intact. A real nice cabinet, I know I will never see another this nice. The Cabinet isn't to large at 68" tall and about 40" wide. There is also a vintage cutting ... moreboard that slides out. Antique 1911 Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet Inside Oak Wood Shelf Rack 12" X 21" X 5"
Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. This was just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is a solid oak wood rack that came off the inside of the large door on the base. No screws are included for the piece. Made of all oak the dowels are thru drilled then edge nailed to hold them in place, gives it a rough, primitive appearance. The finish is original and while dirty it has great patina. The shelf portion has bowed over time from weight, truly helps show it's age. It is 21" wide, 12" tall on the brackets and is 5" deep overall. Could be used anywhere a primitive look is desired. It starts at $20 and will ship for $10. This is a flour sifter from an antique McDougal Hoosier style kitchen cabinet. Rare Antique Hoosier Kitchen Work Station Cabinet Card Fiber Board Sales
This is an apparently very rare example of late 19th or early 20th century Hoosier cabinet or kitchen work station. Hoosier's became the central workstation for baking and preparing foods in the kitchen. It was the next step up from a stove and tables. I searched for hours and could not find a single photo of this piece. It seems to be too fragile for a child's toy so it may have been a salesman's sample to show to the lady of the house or in a display window at a store selling"Hoosiers" There were many traveling salesmen who would take an initial $1 down and payments of $1 per month to purchase a"Hoosier" cabinet. ANTIQUE HOOSIER STYLE SALESMAN SAMPLE KITCHEN CABINET Here is a wonderful little hoosier style cabinet. I've had a lot of childrens furniture but not detailed this well. The way it is constructed is unusual. The top. Sides, bottom and work surface is wood covered with metal. The upper door and back& lower doors and the drawer fronts are metal. All of the metal is painted to make it appear to be made out of copper. One of the things I see that make it appear to be a salesman sample is the hardware. The hinges, latches& drawer pulls are just like the big cabinets except this hardware is smaller and it's all rivited on cabinet. This is an antique cabinet and it does show wear. I wuold say some little girl has played many days with it in the past. The cabinet is a two piece cabinet so it can be taken apart to ship just like the ... morebig ones. The cabinet measures 25 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide, and 7" deep at the top and 3 1/2" deep at the bottom. Very nice condition, painted interior. All drawers, pullouts and doors work well, original hinges a few screws look like they have been replaced at some time. Antique Hoosier Cabinet Metal Flour Bin With Working Sifter Kitchen Tool Vintage
Nice sifter for your hoosier cabinet. Not sure what kind of cabinet this fits. It measures app. 10 1/2" across. 9 1/2" deep and 17 1/2" from the highest point to the bottom of the sifter. One pin is missing that holds the sifter on to the body of the bin. A piece of fairly heavy gauge wire holds the other side on so this is a very simple fix. Please see photos for best description. Beautiful antique hoosier style cabinet! Not scratched or beat up. A piece you can really show off in your home. Two small marks on the porcelian, otherwise, good and clean. It's two pieces, stands about six foot high and four feet across. One of the nicest old hoosier cabinets I have ever seen. Everyone was always in awe of it when they came in. I've had it for years and always took good care of it. I bought a smaller home and I can no longer accommodate it. If you want one to show off and be proud of, this is the one for you. We lived in the Frank L Baum house. In Hinsdale, IL. Baum wrote the Wizard of Oz. Discovered this in the basement in 1973. Covered in paint, we were going to throw it away. Antique American Hoosier Manufacturing Kitchen Cabinet/Cupboard Early 1900's
Very nice Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet from The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. New Castle, Indiana. Contains the original dispensing bins and card inserts for grocery lists, cookbook holder, spice shelves. Some of the glass knobs are not original, but they match nicely. All but one latch work very well. The latch on the bottom cabinet has a missing pull, but the door stays closed. Please inspect the photos carefully for details. Overall. The cabinet measures 72" high x 48" wide. The base cabinet is 22" deep, and the top cabinet is 11.5" deep. The porcelain coated work surface is in good condition comensurate with is age and has no rust. The top section is easily removed for transport by removing 6 wood screws. The bail pull-out handle, and most importantly, the slide-plate for controlling the flow out of the chute. This slide-out plate is complete with it's stop tab. The bin measures 12" wide and 9" deep. Including the runners on each side the width is 12 5/8" The overall height is 12 1/2" This sugar bin is in very good complete working condition. Primitive HOOSIER CABINET enamel farmhouse antique kitchen rustic
Thanks for looking! This listing is for a beautiful refinished Hoosier cabinet dating back to the early 1900's. This has a medium tan grubby or distressed finish. The flour sifter is intact in the top middle bin which pulls out. The bread bin is on the bottom and cabinet doors on either sides. I have not used the sifter to see if it does in fact work. The pull down door on the front under the top was fragile so the craftsman nailed it in place to protect the cabinets character. The enamel top will pull out. The cabinet comes in 2 pieces. We cherish our Hoosier cabinet but must sell due to downsizing. Lower cabinet sits on 4 caster wheels. Left door opens to a Pie Safe that includes the metal rack and wood shelf. The door has a wire rolling pin holder and pot lid rack. The right side has 3 Pull-out drawers. The bottom drawer is metal lined designed for fresh cake and bread. Center of the cabinet Includes a Pull-out breadboard 14 1/2" W. Pulls out to 19" Upper cupboard includes lovely etched glass panes on doors. Left door houses the tilt-out flour bin. Missing Sifter) Right side has double doors that open to more storage area. A Tambour Roll-Down section hides a storage area with a small tin ... morespice rack. The Upper and lower cabinets are joined by a pair of metal channels which serve as the guide for the White enamel pull-out work surface with blue trim that when pulled out. Adds almost 10" more of functional work space. The wood panels in doors show signs of wear and inside some separation. Enamel Top has some chips. Please look carefully at all the pictures for condition of the cabinets and work surface. Believed to be an original Hoosier. Label on the back is faded completely and unreadable.
