Although it is a very tall example. It is much more common to see a 6' tall piece. This style is also referred to as a noodle cabinet. The top overhangs on the front and 2 sides, and the vertical corner posts/ legs have rounded edges. All Sides taper and are wider at the bottom. The 2 tall doors are each divided into 4 panels. With each panel having intricate carvings. Their is a center post between the doors that is very easily removed to allow fuller access to the inside of the cabinet. Inside the cabinet is one pair of drawers and 2 shelves. Below the 2 doors are 2 drawers. And a caved apron under the drawers. As is typical with many of the antique Chinese pieces. Some of the hardware had been replaced. There is general wear that is typical for a piece this old, mostly on the legs as seen in the photos. This is a very unusual and beautiful piece. This is a gorgeous early 1920's China Cabinet. Made mostly fo solid walnut. The frame is in excellent condition. No significant scratches. Those tow panels at the top are Bird's Eye Maple. They are wonderfully done. The finish is the original. Not sure of the maker. It is a fantastic piece and it isnt very large so it can fit anywhere. This is a good size Duncan Phyfe mahagony china cabinet circa 1940. The finish is original. It has a few nicks and scratches but can be cleaned and used like it is without refinishing. The cabinet measures 73" tall at the top of the center peak. 36 1/2" wide, and 16 1/2" deep. It is in one piece but the top display part is 41 1/2" tall, 33" wide, and12 1/2" deep. The bottom storage part is 36 1/2" wide, 31 1/2" tall, and 16 1/2" deep. The top display part has 2 glass doors and 2 adjustable shelves with plate groves.
