It unfortunately has had something spilled on the front, that caused the finish to be bleached out in those areas. This problem may be able to be repaired with a simple oil treatmnt, but I cannot completely guarantee it. The cabinet is made of solid wood with a thin wood backing. The backing on one side is warbled from moisture, but this warbling does not come all the way through to the inside, although there is some discoloration on the inside in that area, and the bottom boards are slightly warped. This is all at the bottom section of the case, and therefore does not show unless the bottom doors are opened.

Very nice antique bow front china cabinet. It is made of oak and has 4 shelves. It is in good condition with some imperfections-it has a small hole that was cut out of the back and patched with veneer-you can't see it from the front as the bottom shelf is right in front of it. There is a slight separation of the wood on the top as seen in picture. The side pieces are glass; however. The door has a piece of Lexan in it-this was placed because curved glass is very expensive. Lexan is a very tough polycarbonate that is barely distinguishable from glass-you really cannot tell the difference when you look at it. I was told it is easy to take care of but not to use paper towels or ammonia on it. Of course, you could always replace it with glass if you didn't like it. It has a key, but it doesn't lock. Overall, these imperfections are ... morenot that noticeable-I just like to be up front and point everything out. This bow-front china cabinet is made of a dark wood with a curved glass front door that. If I'm not mistaken, still has the key for the lock. As you can(hopefully) see from the pictures, it has a small decorative display platform that sits at the top edge of the narrow oval mirror that tops the cabinet. All of the woodwork is in very good shape, except for right at the front edge of that platform, where some of the veneer has peeled off(the light spot in the last picture) I've been told by an antiques expert that it would not be difficult to get that repaired, and so it shouldn't affect the value too much. Obviously, I couldn't get to the back side of the cabinet, but given the shape of everything else, including the contents, and knowing the couple that owns it(I'm selling it for friends) there is every reason to believe ... morethat it's in just as good a shape as the front. this is a beautiful oak bow front glass cupboard. it has the correct original shelves with the crease line near the back for plates. the glass front has the beaded edge trim. it has the lions paw feet. the back left one is alittle loose. no cracks in the glass. there is a keyhole lock but i don't have the key. in good used condition and i would guess the age on this one late 1800's to early 1900's. i can't find a makers name on it. this would have to be picked up. or i can deliver within a 50 mile radius for 1.50 a mile. any questions please ask before bidding.

Beautiful Antique Turn of the Century Oak China Cabinet. The cabinet rests on 4 heavily carved lions paw feet. There is a thick band of moulding along the bottom edge of the cabinet; leaf/vine carvings at the leg joints. Continuing upwards from the 2 front legs are long columns that extend to top pediment of the cabinet. Both sides have a quarter moon shape with curved glass. The glass front door has a serpentine like curve with a lock and key. The top moulding has a beautifully carved crest with leaf/vine carvings surrounding and dentil style moulding along the entire front. There are 4 glass shelves on the interior of the cabinet with a full mirrored back. The china cabinet is in excellent condition and has been well taken care of over the years.
