Ever since the early 1900s the Hoosier cabinet has been one the most favored piece of kitchen furniture ever to exist. You might argue that the kitchen table is the dearest. Old Antique OAK Hoosier Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. Antique 1911 Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet Inside Oak Wood Shelf Rack 12" X 21" X 5"
Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. This was just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is a solid oak wood rack that came off the inside of the large door on the base. No screws are included for the piece. Made of all oak the dowels are thru drilled then edge nailed to hold them in place, gives it a rough, primitive appearance. The finish is original and while dirty it has great patina. The shelf portion has bowed over time from weight, truly helps show it's age. It is 21" wide, 12" tall on the brackets and is 5" deep overall. Could be used anywhere a primitive look is desired. It starts at $20 and will ship for $10. It has a top with a frosted glass designed glass in the door fronts. all of the latches work great and the left side has two shelves. and it has two doors at bottom that go the whole lenght of the cupboard. It has a zinc top which is all original. the bottom has a large door that has a wire pull out shelf and a holder in the door the right side has 3 drawers the bottom one is a tin one that was used for bread originally. This is a Vintage Wilson Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet. It measures 70" tall x 41" wide x 25 1/2" deep. It is missing the flour sifter. All of the drawers and doors work well. The roll down door needs a little coaxing to go up and down and could use some TLC to make it work well. It has all of the original pulls. Hinges, latches and the original stained glass panels. The sliding pull out enamel tabletop is well worn having lost most of it's shine but only has a few minor chips. Some of the wood veneer has separated as shown in the photos. Beautiful antique hoosier style cabinet! Not scratched or beat up. A piece you can really show off in your home. Two small marks on the porcelian, otherwise, good and clean. It's two pieces, stands about six foot high and four feet across. One of the nicest old hoosier cabinets I have ever seen. Everyone was always in awe of it when they came in. I've had it for years and always took good care of it. I bought a smaller home and I can no longer accommodate it. If you want one to show off and be proud of, this is the one for you. This oak kitchen cabinet is in good condition. It has the original metal tag on the front. A roll front above the porcelain work area and a metal bread drawer. It needs to be repainted or refinished. The porcelain pull-out work area has a couple of small spots that are only seen if the porcelain is pulled out all the way. It is a NAPANEE brand cabinet made in Indiana on Sept. 23. 1941. It is marked on the back that the original finish was PEARL WHITE OAK. It is 71" high x 40" side x 24" deep at the bottom part. It comes apart for moving. There is the top section. The porcelain part in the middle and the bottom or base section. It does not have legs and sits flat on the floor. A pencil sharpener is attached to the right side. Oak SELLERS Kitchen Cabinet Slag Glass Painted Not Hoosier
Painted Sellers cabinet with caramel slag glass in the top doors. This cabinet is oak underneath the paint. Some later cabinets came from the factory painted. This one was oak and painted later. It has the original tambour roll. There is a drawer above the roll. It needs some hardware. Including the hinges and latch on the base. The long sifter door need a hinge, as well as latches. I am including one"S" latch. All the hardware is available online. There are no warped panels. Measurements are: 40" W 62" H 28" D. Original porcelain top with 2 pull out drawers. Vintage American Light Oak Hoosier Kitchen Queen Cabinet
This is a wonderful example of American cabinetry from the early twentieth century. This oak kitchen queen is in great condition and really can be ready for use with no effort. Overall height of this cabinet is approximately 67" and 39" in width. The upper section is about 11" deep with the cabinet of the lower section at about 24" in depth. The porcelain coated steel table top when slid all the way back is about 26" and when pulled out the depth increases to 32" One of the unique things with this cabinet is that the drawers directly below the pull out table come out with the top. We have never seen one of these with this configuration. The upper section has the flour sifter in the left hand side. The upper right doors both have caramel colored slag glass in the top and opens up to provide two cupboards for storage. ... moreThe lower right section on the upper cabinet has the sugar glass bowl behind the wood tambour door. The lower section has a pull out cutting board top center below the metal tabletop. A tin lined drawer is on the left side. 2 center drawers and a single larger drawer on the right side. The entire bottom of this cabinet section is an open area with another full width tambour door covering that area. I have not been able to identify the manufacturer. Year and model of this unit. Original 1922 Oak "HOOSIER BEAUTY" (#2255) Kitchen Cabinet
Recently completed restoration of this 1922 Oak Hoosier Beauty(2255) Cabinet is about 98% original. Unusual in the respect that the panels for the upper doors are Maple. As are the side panels on the top section. All of the other parts are Oak. For the unfamiliar, this is an original"Hoosier" brand cabinet, manufactured by the Hoosier Manufacturing Co. It is 71" high, 41" wide, and 27" deep. Latches/Catches. Hinges, Side Brackets, flour bin, Sugar Bin, Spice Carousel, Bill Hooks, Utility Racks, all racks in base of Cabinet, Porcelain pull out work pan(in good condition) are original. Cabinet also has its original food grinder bracket. Original back on both top and bottom remain. Note the stenciling identifying the cabinet as#2255. The only replacement parts on the cabinet are: Hoosier" label at the top. Charts ... moreinside doors, and cook book holder. Also the Bread Drawer needed to have the back of it replaced. For sale here is a antique OVERSIZED OAK KITCHEN CABINET TOP. I do not see a makers name. It measures about 37 1/2 inches tall x 54 1/2 inches across x 11 1/2 inches deep. I would guess it to be hard to find another oversize top if you have a base. Pictures show it well. All original- one small crack in the glass- corner. Roll does not work. This double Sellers cabinet has been in use in my home for many years. It is double sized(71" H X 28" D X 48"W) Comes with a large flour bin. Sugar jar and cracker bin. The roll down section in the middle will slide but it need a new cloth backing. There is a pull out cutting board. The bottom section has 2 smaller drawers and under them are 2 other drawers one of which is a bread box. The bread box is missing the lid. Also there is a larger section for storage. This larger section has 1 large door which replaced 2 smaller origional ones. There is a slide out board for easier access to your items. This cabinet makes a great space to do any baking projects. EXTREMELY RARE Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet, Cast Iron Swivel Stool-Oak-Flour Sifter
Notice I did not list this as a hoosier style. This is an original hoosier cabinet. It has been in our home for about 5 years now. This showed up at a local estate auction. I've been a picker now for over 25 years. I went hoping the auction company knew what they were talking about. Many times these are listed as hoosier cabinets and they are hoosier style but not originals. I wish I could find the web site now that I found then. I really didn't think it was a hoosier because of that stool. I simply had never seen one like it. Hoosier cabinets are pretty easy to distinguish once you have seen a original. I personally have only seen in person maybe 5 that were actually a hoosier. The article I found over 5 years ago had a picture of this cabinet and was titled, Rarest of the rarest. This was a cabinet hoosier made but was only sold ... morespecial ordered. it was called a bakers hoosier. Not sure why but that's what the article said. It also went on to say that it was believed that only as few as 5 of them was ever made. It's not hard to know that this is a hoosier cabinet, it has everything that you need to know that. It's just very different with that cast iron stool. It's the only one that has the opening there and of course that's for the stool and a place to sit at it. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Trust me, I paid more for it than my opening price. I've learned thru the years that many buyers may not appreciate whether it's an original or not, but I do when I'm buying something for myself or when I'm buying to resale. I probably wouldn't have paid as much if my intentions was to resale. Well, now my wife and I have 2 grandchildren and probably more to come and we need the space to be what it was suppose to be, a breakfast nook. The cabinet takes up too much room for us to put a larger table to serve the purpose the space was built for. So, it's got to go.
