Hoosier Hard-To-Find Boone Kitchen Cabinet 5-Piece Spice Tin Set, Good Condition
Up for bids is this Hard-to-Find Boone Kitchen Cabinet 5-Piece Spice Tin Set including Ginger. Cream of Tartar, Cloves, Allspice and Cinnamon. Each one of these spice tins has the trademark of"The Boone Campbell, Smith, Ritchie Co. in Lebanon, Indiana" on its side. They were one of the larger and better kitchen cabinet manufacturers in their day and these spice tins were probably manufactured circa 1910- 1915 prior to the use of glass spice jars. These tins would be a great addition to any collection for the primitive collector. This set of spice tins are clean, in good condition and have been taken pretty good care of considering their age, use, with some scratches, dings, normal wear and tear. Antique Hoosier Cabinet Wood/Tin Flour Bin Sifter Complete and Ready for Use
This is a vintage Hoosier Cabinet Flour Sifter. This is an original piece and needs to be put back into a cabinet and put back to use. The item still has some of the original white paint on the wood with all the tin intact. The sifter unit has some rust but is intact and even has the original wood ball on the handle. I couldn't get the cap off for the picture and like most things on this piece needs some elbow grease and some attension but a solid piece to work from. Building your own Hoosier cabinet. Or need a replacement part? Here's a Hoosier cabinet flour sifter with slide-out mount, sifter gizmo, sifter cap, and the bin. It would be spectacular if re-tinned, but if you're going for the vintage or antique look, you've got that right now. This is a used vintage or antique item, and as such has old paint on it, spots of rust, and general wear. It is not in mint condition. Dimensions are approximately 10x10 for the bin assembly, and the drawer slide is about 10 1/2" x 11" The entire assembly is about 9 inches tall when the bin is slid into the drawer slide, 8.5" tall for just the bin assembly. Measurements are approximate, as I used a tape measure, not a laser measurer or a caliper. This came from a recent estate. It is being sold in"found condition" It does need some work as you can see from pictures. Mostly rust. No major dings that I have noticed. The pins are missing from the sifter that connects to the bin. Also has the lid which is hard to come by sometime. Nice wooden handle on sifter. This measures approx. 11-1/4" tall from bottom to lid. C1920's refurbished childs Hoosier cabinet. Drawers and windows have been sanded down to show original paint patina. First green layer is probably milk paint. Original Tin top slides out 5 more inches. All Hardware in working condition and came with the cabinet. SOLID and STRUDY no loose fittings or loose wood anywhere. All original patina on inside of entire cabinet drawers doors and windows. Newly painted sides. This looks to be hand crafted could be a salesman sample. Has a shabby cottage appeal. The drawer is made with an oak wood front and tin bottom& sides. the drawer measures 19 1/4" long. 13 3/4" wide, 9 1/2" deep, the front of the drawer measures 14 1/2" wide and 11" tall(fits an opening of 10 1/2" tall and 13 7/8" wide) The old paint has been stripped off the oak front, the metal has some rust, there is no handle, and there are dings to both the metal and wood. This is not a reproduction. This is an AUTHENTIC tin sugar bin for a Hoosier Cabinet style Kitchen Cupboard. It is COMPLETE including the lift-up lid for filling the bin. The bail pull-out handle, and most importantly, the slide-plate for controlling the flow out of the chute. This slide-out plate is complete with it's stop tab. The bin measures 12" wide and 9" deep. Including the runners on each side the width is 12 5/8" The overall height is 12 1/2" This sugar bin is in very good complete working condition. There are some very shallow dents which are more noticeable in the photos than in person. Tin Hoosier Cabinet Bread Box From Mid Century
This Tin bread box was used in Hoosier Cabinets and sometimes in large kitchen drawers when kitchen's modernized. It has one sliding door on the top with a decorative diamond shaped vent and an indentation for the finger for easy sliding. It's really in nice condition with some surface rusting and natural discoloring of the tin. There is one little tear in the top rim. See picture for that. It measures about 19 1/2" x 12 1/2" by 8" tall.
