Old Antique OAK Hoosier Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. It has been professionally restored, as it had been white enamel that had been painted yellow. The finish is now a distressed EBONY STAIN that has been sealed for easy cleaning. This not only maintains the aged appearance, but lends itself to contemporary styling that is gorgeous! The inside has been repainted white. This Hoosier is SPOTLESS while maintaining the integrity of the ORIGINAL pieces, HARDWARE etc. This is a very efficient piece of furniture and it can house sooooo many things. Hi! I have been buying a lot on Ebay and have decided to start selling as well. So while it may seem like I am a new member I have actually been around for awhile. This was just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is a solid oak wood rack that came off the inside of the large door on the base. No screws are included for the piece. Made of all oak the dowels are thru drilled then edge nailed to hold them in place, gives it a rough, primitive appearance. The finish is original and while dirty it has great patina. The shelf portion has bowed over time from weight, truly helps show it's age. It is 21" wide, 12" tall on the brackets and is 5" deep overall. Could be used anywhere a primitive look is desired. It starts at $20 and will ship for $10. I inherited this"Hoosier" cabinet and I have absolutely no use or room for it. There is a Hoosier metal label affixed to the top but I believe it is a Napanee or perhaps another maker. Please note. The condition is what I would call fair due to buckling of the oak veneer on the sides and water damage on the top(not viewable unless you're on a ladder) The side rails are also missing but the previous owner built up the base of the top cabinet to allow the zinc top work area to easily slide out. Rustic Antique Oak Medicine Cabinet-Hoosier Markings on the back
I have a rustic oak medicine cabinet for auction today. It looks like some of the shelves have been replaced. On the back of the cabinet is Hoosier several times and some other printing. What I do not know is if this is the manufacturing marks or someone made the cabinet out of material that was stamped Hoosier. Either way. If you are looking for a rustic, country cabinet to finish your remodel, or give your bathroom that one of a kind, country feel this would be a great addition to your home. The cabinet measures 18 and half inches tall, 15 inches wide and just short of 6 inches deep. There is a glass knob for a pull, it doesn't stay closed real well, but someone who is more mechanically gifted than I could probably fix it easily. I simply used a little cardboard to keep it shut. Helmer's oak Hoosier type cabinet mfg 1910 complete with accessories.
We're selling our oak 1910 Helmer's hoosier style kitchen cabinet. It was made by the Helmer's Furniture Co at Levenworth Prison using convict labor! It has the original finish except for the pull out work top. It was refinished a few years ago. All the glass is original and comes with the flour bin. Sifter and coffee container. It has two roll up doors. Top and bottom. Two pull out trays and three drawers. The bottom drawer is a galvanized storage bin.It also comes with the metal casters. There are no issues with this and everything works fine. We would prefer to have the buyer pick this up but would be glad to work with your shipper of choice if you want it delivered. Offering for sale is this painted Vintage Oak Hoosier Cabinet in good overall condition. The base measures 32 1/2" tall x 40 1/2" wide x 27 1/2" deep. The top measures 37 1/4" tall x 40 1/2" wide x 11 3/4" deep. The top section detaches easily with a few screws. Take a look at the pictures. The Porcelain shows wear. The slag glass looks in great condition. The roll is complete and in one piece. When I received this cabinet the roll was stuck up inside the key way. When this cabinet sells I will use some paste wax and try to get the roll in sliding condition. Vintage Oak Hoosier Style Cabinet By Klamer-Goebel Furniture Co. Evansville, IN
This is a beautiful old two piece Hoosier style bakers cabinet. It measures approx. 75" Tall x 26" deep x 42" wide. The counter top measures 48 1/4" wide as it overhangs the edges of the cabinet. The cabinet was made by the Klamer-Goebel Furniture Company in Evansville. Indiana. The label is still affixed to the back of the cabinet. If I had to guess the age of the cabinet, I would say that it is from the mid to late 1930's. It has been recently refinished which consisted of painstakingly stripping 3 layers of different colored paint and one coat of stain down to the original oak, then applying a coat of Sedona Red stain was applied to the outside of the cabinet in a manner which allowed the natural grains in the oak still to come through. if you zoom in the 1st picture you can see the natural grain of the oak! The ... moreinside of the cabinet was painted with a high grade paint and primer in a very similar color. The counter top is also oak and was also painted with the same color and sealed several times. New round casters were added to the bottom that are very similar to the original ones that were broken and not working. The color of this cabinet, which i consider to be close to a rich,warm cinnamon shade will go great with any color cabinets you have in your kitchen, white, medium or dark. There is a pull out biscuit prep board under the counter top. There are two tilt out bins on the bottom and a slide out drawer on the bottom left. There is no wood rot anywhere on the cabinet.The top middle door mirror is old and beveled with minor age spots and the other two top doors have an old frosted crackled ice type glass in them. There is also a smaller tilt out bin on the top middle with a drawer above it. Other than the cabinet being quite old and it's normal condition from age, there are no major defects whatsoever. A fine example of the Hoosier style cabinet so popular in the early part of the last century. Oak and mixed woods construction with amber slag glass in the top cabinet doors. The sifter is intact and working. The tambour side-rolling doors are missing. And the latch to the center top door was replaced at some point with a hook and eye that works quite well for the purpose. As in many of these cabinets, the trays are missing from the bottom large cupboard and the sliding top is gone from the metal bread drawer. Offered is a HOOSIER CABINET/ SELLERS CABINET BREAD DRAWER from the base section. The drawer is made with an oak wood front and tin bottom& sides. the drawer measures 19 1/4" long. 13 3/4" wide, 9 1/2" deep, the front of the drawer measures 14 1/2" wide and 11" tall(fits an opening of 10 1/2" tall and 13 7/8" wide) The old paint has been stripped off the oak front, the metal has some rust, there is no handle, and there are dings to both the metal and wood. Beautiful Oak Hoosier Kitchen cabinet frosted glass doors

It has a top with a frosted glass designed glass in the door fronts. all of the latches work great and the left side has two shelves. and it has two doors at bottom that go the whole lenght of the cupboard. It has a zinc top which is all original. the bottom has a large door that has a wire pull out shelf and a holder in the door the right side has 3 drawers the bottom one is a tin one that was used for bread originally. Vintage Wilson Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet Cupboard Buffet
This is a Vintage Wilson Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet. It measures 70" tall x 41" wide x 25 1/2" deep. It is missing the flour sifter. All of the drawers and doors work well. The roll down door needs a little coaxing to go up and down and could use some TLC to make it work well. It has all of the original pulls. Hinges, latches and the original stained glass panels. The sliding pull out enamel tabletop is well worn having lost most of it's shine but only has a few minor chips. Some of the wood veneer has separated as shown in the photos. The joints are somewhat loose and in need of professional care. Not all of the corners are square and are in need of repair also. Gorgeous Antique-Vintage Hoosier Style Oak Kitchen Cabinet
Beautiful antique hoosier style cabinet! Not scratched or beat up. A piece you can really show off in your home. Two small marks on the porcelian, otherwise, good and clean. It's two pieces, stands about six foot high and four feet across. One of the nicest old hoosier cabinets I have ever seen. Everyone was always in awe of it when they came in. I've had it for years and always took good care of it. I bought a smaller home and I can no longer accommodate it. If you want one to show off and be proud of, this is the one for you. The buyer of this will be the 3rd owner. I am the 2nd owner and the original owner was of Eagle Bridge N.Y. which is Grandma Moses country. I bought it at auction on August 27. 1994. Flour bin& sifter are in excellent used condition as is the bread box. Glass is all intact and no cracks or chips. Interior paint on flour bin and interior shelves has some loss due to age and use. Latch on lower door was replaced with an original handle to replace a broken handle. Otherwise everything is original to manufacture. Manufactured approx. 1916. The Coffee. 1941 OAK HOOSIER Style Kitchen Cabinet NAPANEE Cupboard Roll Front Pick Up Ohio
This oak kitchen cabinet is in good condition. It has the original metal tag on the front. A roll front above the porcelain work area and a metal bread drawer. It needs to be repainted or refinished. The porcelain pull-out work area has a couple of small spots that are only seen if the porcelain is pulled out all the way. It is a NAPANEE brand cabinet made in Indiana on Sept. 23. 1941. It is marked on the back that the original finish was PEARL WHITE OAK. It is 71" high x 40" side x 24" deep at the bottom part. It comes apart for moving. There is the top section. The porcelain part in the middle and the bottom or base section. It does not have legs and sits flat on the floor. A pencil sharpener is attached to the right side. This cabinet may be picked up in Fairhaven which is located in southwest Ohio. It is about 10 or 15 ... moreminutes from Oxford or Camden. This is an Antique Hoosier. It is in very nice condition. See pictures. It measures 42"x25"x67" The metal shelf pulls out for additional work space. This is a nice one! History The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. was incorporated in 1899 with John M. Maring is President. Houses of the period were frequently not equipped with built-in cabinetry. And the lack of storage space in the kitchen became acute. Hoosier adapted an existing furniture piece, the baker's cabinet, which had a similar structure of a table top with some cabinets above it(and frequently flour bins beneath) By rearranging the parts and taking advantage of(then) modern metal working, they were able to produce a well-organized, compact cabinet which answered the home cook's needs for storage and working space. Hoosier Antique Cabinet - Natural Oak - Originally made in Indiana
This is an authentic Hoosier made in Indiana. The original pasted manufacturer's labels are still readable on the back of the units. This is in two parts. The top consists of a tin lined flour bin with dispenser. The glass is original in the doors. The clasps need some TLC but are original. The only change is the bottom section drawer pulls appear to have been replaced but could be restored. The bottom section top piece actually pulls out to allow for more workspace. There is a"hidden" cutting board beneath the work surface. It's in VG condition with the exception of the bottom unit main cabinet door which has split but can be restored. The bottom unit is on wheels. We love this piece but don't have room for it in our newly remodeled kitchen.
