You might argue that the kitchen table is the dearest. And if it is, the Hoosier is a very close second. The official Hoosiers were made by the Hoosier Manufacturing Co. of New Castle. Indiana, but models were also crafted by other Indiana companies. Today the term"Hoosier Cabinet" is generically applied to any cabinet that fit's the following description. Antique Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. The way it is constructed is unusual. The top. Sides, bottom and work surface is wood covered with metal. The upper door and back& lower doors and the drawer fronts are metal. All of the metal is painted to make it appear to be made out of copper. One of the things I see that make it appear to be a salesman sample is the hardware. The hinges, latches& drawer pulls are just like the big cabinets except this hardware is smaller and it's all rivited on cabinet. This is an antique cabinet and it does show wear. I wuold say some little girl has played many days with it in the past. The cabinet is a two piece cabinet so it can be taken apart to ship just like the ... morebig ones. The cabinet measures 25 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide, and 7" deep at the top and 3 1/2" deep at the bottom. Beautiful antique hoosier style cabinet! Not scratched or beat up. A piece you can really show off in your home. Two small marks on the porcelian, otherwise, good and clean. It's two pieces, stands about six foot high and four feet across. One of the nicest old hoosier cabinets I have ever seen. Everyone was always in awe of it when they came in. Antique Vintage c1940s Napanee Bread Cabinet Hoosier Style Enamel Top Restored
This cute Napanee bread cabinet from the 1940s was salvaged from an estate and fully restored(painted inside and out) The base is a creamy white with mint green drawer fronts and accents. It boasts the original chrome hardware. They c1940s teapot and teacup Meyercord decals on the front doors and drawers are a fun add on! The white porcelain enamel over metal top is in great shape with only a few spots of character adding loss to the porcelain along the edges and some very minor surface scratches on the top. The metal bread drawers on the sides have only been cleaned and not painted. The center drawers have the original varnish that cleaned up beautifully– the top drawer is divided for silverware. The interior features a sliding metal rack. It comes with the original Napanee-Coppes tag on the front of the piece and it is also stamped on the ... moreunderside. Antique Farm House Hoosier Style Cabinet with a slat wood table top base in a beautiful medium color wood stain. The bottom has a slide out cutting board. 2 drawers on top and 2 large round bottom, flour bin drawers on the bottom. Top. Which is not attached, has 2 glass doors with 1 shelf inside and drawers below it. Needs a little TLC. Has a little crack in the glass in the lower corner of right door, several layers of paint, hinges painted over, top needs to be attached. Overall very good condition. Not sure of age. It is marked on the back but I cannot make out exactly what the marking says. It is painted in a sage green with tan textured colored drawers. it measures 48" wide. 72" tall and 28" deep.
