Vintage Metal Dentist, Doctor or Barber Sterilizer Cabinet with 7 Tools
This is a vintage dentist. Doctor or barber metal sterilizer cabinet with seven tools. This would be great for decorating or to use as a diplay case. It measures 14" wide and 16" tall and from front to back is 9 1/2" The glass is in very good condition. There are three metal shelves inside. It is painted white and there are some scratches from use and some missing paint. Untitled Document This heavy steel antique medical cabinet has two doors with glass windows. As well as glass side panels inset in the cabinet body. The piece was painted gray at some point, and now the gray is flaking away, showing bare and rusty metal and some of the original white paint underneath. One screw is missing from a hinge, and the hinge is slightly bent, so it could stand to be repaired or replaced. Besides the obvious cosmetic damage, it has no serious structural flaws, and the rust has not seriously pitted the metal. This piece appears to be fully restorable. Its authentically shabby piece makes it a great prop or set piece, or an unusual utility/ tool/ craft storage. This is an amazing piece of furniture. It is a vintage dentist cabinet or chest made by The American Cabinet Co. Two Rivers Wis. USA. Being a furniture maker myself I can attest to the high quality and amazing workmanship of this chest. It features nine small front drawers. One of which is larger and has a sliding tray insert, two long top drawers, a side door which has the painted label and a flip side door which has an interior sliding tray, all placed over a two drawer and two door base. Behind the bottom doors you will find adjustable shelves and in one of the mini front drawers there is a divided insert with 25 individual bays. The back is just as beautiful as the front with heavily figured quartersawn oak panels. The cabinet also features an unique locking mechanism, when the larger of the nine small front drawers is shut completely ... moreit locks all of the other smaller drawer, the smaller drawers can only be opened again when the secret larger drawer is pulled open slightly. The larger drawer also has a key slot for secure locking but I do not have a key. The chest is in wonderful condition, all original finish, all properly working drawers and doors, all original matching glass pulls with brass backs, there is the normal wear along the most vulnerable edges as found on almost all vintage furniture but only adds to the character and patina of the piece. My wife used it for some time storing her jewelry and personal papers and effects in the smaller drawers. There is even a paper label under on of the smaller top drawers that has the name cabinet maker. The chest stands 45 inches high to the top, 49 to the top of the backsplash, is 15 inches deep by 35 3/4 wide. We have today listed an antique wood dentistry cabinet(has been refinished) which is approximately 14x14x4 inches. On one side of the cabinet is a drawer approximately 11-1/2 across by three inches in depth and 2 inches deep. In this drawer is a removable pegged board. In great shape for age. Very old piece. Measures 45.5"x40"x12.75" Has original marble base. The marble has a couple cracks but very very hard to see and it is still very sturdy. Some of the shelves have the glass trays. All original knobs. There is a couple minor spots where the veneer has chipped and there has been a couple spot ls where the veneer was repaired. ANTIQUE OAK DOCTOR/ MEDICAL CABINET CIRCA 1900 BY FRANK S. BETZ CO. This piece is very rare and has been called doctor/ dentist/ apothecary cabinet. The two piece cabinet is made of solid oak. The two glass doors on top have display shelves that are adjustable. They fold open and display several more hidden shelves and you can actually still smell the medicine. The base has a compartment that will swing open with several more shelf displays along with plenty of drawer space. The cabinet is circa 1900 Chicago USA Frank S. Betz Co. Hammond, Indiana. It is 30" wide, 15" deep and 68" height. Vintage Industrial Doctor Dentist Metal Lighted Medical Cabinet ArtDeco Original
Here is a great early metal industrial medical cabinet. Other than the additional coat of paint that was added at some time. I am quite certain everything about this cabinet is all original. It stands 63" tall, is 22 1/2" wide, and 16 1/2" deep. It is all metal with a glass door and two glass shelves. Very solid, heavy metal, and the cabinet is quite heavy. The inside hinges have a wonderful look to them and it appears that all of the hardware is original. The four legs on the bottom have screw in feet that are all adjustable. The two glass shelves have some minor chips/roughness around the edges. There is a bulb on the top front side for lighting the cabinet. However, the electrical cord is bare where it enters the cabinet back, and I have not attempted to plug it in- worse case is that it would need to be rewired. This cabinet ... morehas a great deco look to it, and I believe it may have originally been painted that light aquamarine/pale blue green color. The later coat of paint is chipping in places and the back side has a real'crackle' paint look to it. A very nice solid piece of history. 6' Wide Dentist / Doctor Metal Medical Cabinet 4 Door w/ Beveled Glass Iron Legs
This auction is for a rare 4 door dental/ doctor's medical cabinet that was probably made by Max Wocher and Sons. There are no markings. Overall dimensions are about- 6 foot tall by about 6 foot wide and it sticks out from the wall about 14" The glass is heavy 1/4" thick all the way around& inside. So with the metal case, its a heavy piece. It has an interior dividing glass, 10/ten glass shelves and the glass panels the rest of the way around the outside of the cabinet& doors, are all beveled glass. The panels are all easy to remove for transportation, recomended. I spent 10 mins scraping the paint and it would be an easy one to strip the rest of the way to metal, then scotchbrite pad the metal to shine it a bit and wax for a killer bare metal look.This would make a great curio cabinet and a great accent piece. Wonderful 5' 10" tall Brown doctors cabinet in pretty good condition with very minor blemishes. The doctors cabinet has not been cleaned and is offered as found in the estate. With very minimal effort and mostly house hold cleaning supplies this cabinet can almost be cleaned up to original condition. The chrome is not pitted and only has light surface discoloration near the top lock mechanism(depicted) This can be removed with a soft green dish sponge. The cabinet is painted brown and looks great that way. I hear. Care and time was taken with this paint job" claims the owner. The castors roll fine as do the hinges on the top and bottom door. Hi. Up for grabs is this unique Doctor or Dental work station cabinet. It has, as expected, a black laminate top with an additional extension seen in the pictures. It has 4 drawers all in good shape. It is built of stainless steel with an iron frame and wood. There is some rotten wood on the bottom(see picture) but it does not affect the drawer or piece. Weights approximately 70 pounds. Rare Antique Solid Walnut Wood Dentist Wall Cabinet/Jewelry Box Chest of Drawers
Very Unusual Antique Dentist Wall Cabinet/Jewelry Box/Chest This rare and very unusual antique dentist wall cabinet is made of solid walnut and dates from around the 1910's to the 1920's. The secondary wood used to construct the drawers is solid maple. The drawer fronts are all 15 5/8" wide and the insides all measure 14 3/4" wide and 8" deep. The top three drawer fronts are 1 1/2" high. The fourth is 2 5/8" high and the fifth or bottom drawer is 4 1/8" high. The glass knobs have a hexagon shape and are probably not original to the cabinet. The top shelf is 3 3/4" deep and the second shelf or lower compartment with the mirrored back measures 2 3/8" deep once the glass door is down. There are two sturdy metal brackets protruding from the back for mounting the cabinet to the wall. The top counter ... moresurface can be fitted with a 1/8" to 1/4" thick glass top to protect the surface(it appears to have had one at one time) Each of the top three drawers on both sides are divided into 18 sections, each 2 3/8" x 2 1/8" The dividers, sides and bottoms are covered with white velvet material.
