Free Shipping Condition: Used Location: United States Circa 1910 Weis document file cabinet for a desk or countertop. Has it's original mahogany finish(though I think the wood is actually birch) By this ... moretime in our country's manufacturing age cabinet woods were starting to get pricey. Furniture manufacturers were starting to use veneers and stains to simulate more expensive solid wood. The start of the Industrial Age to 1910 saw the diminishment of our great forrest stands of timber. This cabinet boasts it's original label on the top as well as original file drawer pulls. The drawers fronts have light finish loss. Please use the magnify feature to see this. Luckily none of the previous owners used any type of permanent paper in the file slots inside the drawer pulls. The inside bottom of all of the drawers have a hole so that legal documents could be stored that took up all of the drawers interior volume. You would pull the drawer open and insert your finger underneath and up through the hole to lift the pile of documents so that you just slide off the amount that you needed without wrinkling the documents. This cabinet measures 10 1/2" tall. 9 13/16" wide and 15 7/8" deep including the drawer pulls. The drawers measure 1" deep, 8 5/8" wide and 14 1/4" deep. The drawer measurements are the usable interior dimensions. The drawers are for the most part are very clean with just one of them having a small amount of dry residue. The drawers do not have any odor. The exterior of the cabinet is of fingerjoint construction with the inerior drawers being nailed. The exterior joints are very solid. The cabinet has various light scratches and some pinpoint paint drips. The top has a very small area of finish loss. The sides near the front of the cabinet have some slight finish loss as well. Facing the cabinet, it's right side has some finish loss along the bottom edge. This same side has a tight crack about 1 1/2" long coming up from the bottom. it is not very noticeable. I hauled this out of the basement of an old home, and it is showing some age ... morewear, most notably with a couple slices out of drawer faces. There is slight pull away of the dovetailing on the bottom, but I think you could probably carefully tap it back into place. The previous owner did a very slap-up job of putting a dark stain on it, so the finish is somewhat inconsistent, you can see the oak in places inside, and there are faint watermarks on top, but I honestly love the look and character of this piece, and it's completely solid and functional. All four metal sliders are still inside, though they are a little stiff/rusty. Measures about 16" x 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Antique Wooden Oak Library Index File Card Cabinet Single Drawer This file box is generally in very good condition. There is an old repair to the veneer on the top and a few scratches and scuff marks. The outside has a nice patina. The inside mechanism is complete with slider that holds cards upright. It works smoothly and is nice and solid. There is a partial maker's label which appears to be redish with a gold border. The letters that can be somewhat read appear to be"cide" or"eis" Measures: approximately 15" deep x 7" wide x 5.5" high. Drawer holds 3" x 5" cards. Antique wooden file cabinet, quartersawn/tiger oak, mission style
This is an antique quartersawn(tiger) oak filing cabinet with three drawers. Nearly 50" tall. The drawers slide without sticking and the cabinet is quite sturdy; however, the finish is scratched and worn. The inside of the top drawer has a chip that is not visible from the outside. It has been kept indoors(in use) in a smoke-free home. There are no dust guards between the drawers, and the drawer bottoms are open in the center. The lowest drawer has a wooden file divider, but there are no rails for hanging folders. It has the original hardware, which looks like antique brass, somewhat worn. For sale is this antique apothecary wall cabinet. It measures 31 1/2" tall x 16 1/2" wide. It is 13" deep to the front of the towel bar and 9" deep to the front of the drawers. There are six smaller drawers on the top and they each measure 6 1/2" x 4" There are two larger drawers in the middle that measure 14" x 4" The bottom door folds down and there is a towel bar on the bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet was originally built into the wall of the bathroom of an old house. It can be built back into a wall or would also look just fine exposed from the wall. Up for auction is an antique filing/ Storage cabinet. There are slight imperfections in wood such as nicks all around drawers from opening and closing. Please see pics. Measures approx. 6 x 23 3/8 x7 1/4 in inches. The drawers measure approx. 2 1/4 x 4 3/8 x 7 in inches. the inside of drawer is not completely painted! The cabinet weighs 11. 5 lbs without packing materials so I tried to be as reasonable as possible w the charges. Thank you for looking. And Thanks for stopping in! by STACOR ANTIQUE MID-CENTURY 10 DRAWER FLAT FILE WOODEN BLUEPRINT CABINET for ENGINEER ARCHITECT with CUSTOM FORMICA TOP in DOVE GRAY- 3 pieces total for storing ART. MAPS, PHOTOGRAPHS, SCIENTIFIC SAMPLES in your LIBRARY, OFFICE or HOME It's in overall very nice condition with some minor wear. All the drawers are intact with the exception of some slivers and a few chips off of the veneer in a few places. Plus there are some scratches, and the number'5' written in thin lines on the back of one. The wood on the exterior of the drawers looks pretty nice with some minor wear, and you can see where there probably was labels, but there's no sticky residuals. The white mark you see on the left is paper residual that was always there, and I never touched it; and the red and silver one on the right ... moreis the'Stacor' logo. Mostly what you see is wood's grain. The wooden drawer pulls are all intact. Their interiors are very clean.the bottom one has a small brown stain from a tube of tan oil paint that leaked, but it's not all sticky because I've cleaned it up.with a light sanding the rest can probably be removed. The drawers open and close smoothly except for the bottom one that you have to push a little harder, and move around a bit to get it to shut completely, but it does perfectly close back up flush. It's too heavy to turn it upside down. But in pulling out all the drawers I can see it's in very nice shape, and all its hardware intact. The removable gray Formica top is in great shape, and shows little wear, and has no stains or scratches. History: I am the second owner of this beautiful 3 piece cabinet. And it's been well-taken care of. It comes from a renowned San Diego architect. Details: I don't know wood that well. But I believe it is oak, or some other quality hard wood. Vintage old antique wooden oak 3 drawer file cabinet originally intended for wood samples Made of quarter-sawn oak. Original finish, solid wood, not veneer Drawer pulls are brass. And are not original. Was probably in a cabinetmaker or a furniture store to show customers the sample colors of the wood Inside the top drawer is a list-glued to and original to the piece-that lists the finish colors and woods of the sample panels that would have been stored in the drawers. I do not have any of those sample panels. Only the cabinet with the 3 drawers. Drawers all slide in and out effortlessly. It measures 16 1/2" long x 7 1/4" across x 9" tall. Weighs 11 lbs. Vintage library card desktop wood file cabinet with two drawers. The file is structurally solid(I believe maple wood) with dovetail planes on the bottom and on the drawers The bottoms of the drawers have cardboard inside but the split wood is underneath and is in fine shape. Needs either cleaned up. Or refinished and it would look Fantastic. Would be a great shabby style for maybe- silverware drawers- many possibilities.
