You are bidding on a fantastic c.1900 like globe tiger oak file cabinet. The cabinet has been cleaned up to look as close to new as possible. Features 15 file drawers which measure 5 3/4 by 3 3/4 each. The entire cabinet measures 33" wide 17" deep and 13.5" tall. This piece weighs an impressive 80lbs. Globe Wernicke solid oak file boxes card index cabinet pair circa 1900 Ohio
Very nice pair of Globe-Wernicke file boxes from Cincinati. Ohio. They are solid oak; very heavy! Measures 16x 7.25 x5.5" Holds 3 x 5 cards. The spring back card holders work fine; one of the handles on the front is a little marred; maybe melted celluloid plastic? These are circa 1900 and are great accent pieces for an office. Light sratches; also an old wax mark as to who they were sold to long ago. The name can probably be rubbed out. The paper labels are clean and visible when you take the drawers out. They read: Finish Number 3815 1/2 Light Oak; Catalog Number WG-13516. The weight of the pair is 18lbs; the most economical way to ship will cost $40.00 in the Continental U.S. but please ask me to calculate exact shipping with your zip code. Antique early 1900's Quartersawn Oak mission stepback file cabinet. about 41 inches wide. The bottom section is 25 1.2 inches deep, the piece with the file drawers is 16 1/2 inches deep. The drawers measure 13 by 12, and the bottom section cabinet doors are 19 inches wide and 22 inches high. This file cabinet is in outstanding condition with desireable paneled sides. 4 parts comprised of a seperate top cap, one section that has 3 filing drwaers, the next section for storage and a seperate base. I could not find a name but it looks to be a globe wernicke piece or Yawman and Erbe. Very useful quality mission oak file cabinet. Came from an estate sale from Rochester NY. This is another wonderful. OLD antique oak 4 drawer file cabinet. It was made by the GLOBE WERNICKE Co. and is also marked PATEN PEND. From the early 1900s, there ARE 4 drawers, doors all slide IN AND out smoothly. Not real heavy about 80 lbs. Measures 52 1/2 inches high, is 16 1/2 inches across and is 25 inches deep. The finish is excellent, with just slight scuffs, and scratches, as would be expected for a old cabinet. Top is in remarkably great condition. Back bottom veneer is worn some as shown, but very fixable if it is important to you. Top drawer brown rectangular card holder is a replacement. All Bakalite pulls. Up for sale is a antique all wood 3 drawer Globe file cabinet. The word Globe can still be seen very faint. The cabinet is made of different types of wood. It is 48 1/2inches tall. 25 inches deep and 17inches wide.The cabinet is in fair condition, it has 3 chunks of wood out of 3 of the 4 rear back corners. Also the bottom drawer where it folds out the would is broke see pics. Then there have been holes drilled through the sides about 1/2inch 2 on each side. This is a beautiful Globe six drawer filing cabinet. In quarter sawn oak. It measures approximately 43" tall, 11& 5/8" wide, and 22" from front to back. The back side is not oak and it is not finished. I believe it is varnished pine. The drawers show nice dove tailed corners. The files/letters stand up in the drawers. The inside measurement of the drawers are 9" across and 4& 3/4" is the height. It is in very good condition. Buyer please arraign for pick up in northwestern Illinois. Thank you. Check out this beautiful light oak Antique Globe Wernicke 2 Drawer File Cabinet/Card Catalog in wonderful condition. Made by the Globe Wernicke Company out of Cincinnati. Ohio this is both a great piece of history and very functional. This card catalog has all the maker stamps on both the inside and outside. Another amazing feature about this rare piece of the bottom where it is stamped"Property Air Force/United States Army. The stories this piece of history could tell! It's overall in great condition. The cabinet is exquisitely dovetailed and very solid. It does have a couple scratches/writing right where the handles are but this could probably easily be buffed out. This is really a great piece and one I have not had before. Manufactured by the Globe company which was known for office furniture. Especially barrister bookcases and file cabinets. This piece is a quarter sawn oak file cabinet but without drawers but a door. Inside are two adjustable shelves. Would be a great companion for your office and a nice match to an oak file cabinet. Size of the piece is 14.5 wide, 25.0 deep, and 48.5 high. Note the paneled door and sides and the'bullnose' top. I do have the original key and works well. This antique GLOBE 8 Drawer Tiger Oak Library Index Card File Cabinet is in excellent original condition! Measures 14" wide X 17-1/2" tall X 17" deep. This tiger oak cabinet is a real beauty. The 8 drawers have the original maroon painted metal bottoms with the super nice copper colored sliding dividers(see photos) There are no cracks. Splits, or gouges to any of the cabinet or drawers. There are 2 tiny tack nails missing from the metal drawer pulls. No key but the complete original locking mechanism is intact in back of the bottom right drawer. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer Globe Wernicke 8 drawer oak filing cabinet! Original patina- cabinet has not been refinished. Original GLOBE decal. No repairs- exactly as found in an old estate office room.

Purchased from old building auction. I will do my best to describe. 12 drawers. Oak outer, metal inner all marked Globe. This is 2 pieces stacked, 6 drawers each. This will need some restoration. There is a laminate piece that was placed on the top. There are 2 drilled holes in the top. Faded paint? markings throughout. One drawer pull is split, there is one pull missing. Wheels were attached on the bottom with ply wood, can be removed. This stands 26.6" tall minus the wheels and ply wood. 33" in width. Very heavy. Original quarter-sawn(or tiger oak) dove-tailed two(metal) drawer file cabinet in nice strong condition. See photos as the left side lower edge has a small piece of chipped wood. Measures 14" wide by 16" front to back and about 5-1/2" high overall. The interior of each drawer measures about 5" wide& 3-1/2" high to the interior top of the cabinet. This looks pretty good and original as is or can be refinished- for"purists.

This auction features an antique dovetailed oak library index card file. This gem measures 16 x 14 x 10 ¼ inches and has 4 sliding drawers. Each drawer measures 14 ¾ inches in depth. 6 inches outside measurement, and the inside measurement for the file is 5 inches wide. This piece retains the original finish with just a few areas with light damage from use. Mostly a few small scratches on the top. This piece is unmarked as to the manufacturer, but similar to the Globe Wernicke or Macey models I have seen in the past. The bottom retains the original felt. Very nice antique oak file cabinet by Globe. Very clean. Very rare size at about 48 inches tall. 24 inches deep and 11 3/4 inches wide. Great for smaller lawyers/doctor office or a library. Fits into small spaces. We have our kids arts and crafts, along with school materials in it. Back has wear but we have left it. Does not affect and cannot be seen. Very useful and solid. Brass hardware. I think one id holder is missing from front drawer at the bottom. Has nice recessed panels on side. No wear on top or sides. The doors have a nice mechanisim that allows the doors to open, then slant forwrd to view the contents. All drawers are in nice wroking oreder. Inside, there are wood dividers and metal dividers. We will be moving and will no longer need this 31 Drawer Cabinet that is made by Globe Wernicke I believe and it has 3 Separate and removable sections on a 4 legged oak base. The sections come apart and they can be put together in any configuration. Because it comes apart it is very easy to transport because the drawers also are removable. I bought them about 30 years ago from an antique store in the Tampa Florida ares and have used them to hold tools. Tape and other misc items in the garage. Beautiful golden oak color and patina that just glows. Raised panel sides and and original back. One pull is missing the thumbnail grip as picture depict. Vintage Antique Globe Wernicke Tiger Oak 2 Drawer Index File Cabinet
Antique Globe Tiger Oak 2-Drawer Card File Cabinet. Circa 1900. This is a fine and early 2-drawer file cabinet, made by Globe(later Globe Wernicke) c. 1900. The piece is made of solid tiger oak, and is in good condition. It is complete, with the two original sliders in the drawer. There is minor separation at some of the seams as well as holes in the bottom of the cabinet. Recently refinished: the Globe stamp has been sanded off, but it is 100% authentic. St eel inside drawers and a metal tag with a serial number on it from the company that owned it 14" wide x 16 1/2" deep x 5 1/2" tall overall.

The Globe Wernicke Company Vintage Pre-1955 4 Drawer Oak Legal Size File Cabinet
I am offering a Globe Wernicke Company 4 drawer file cabinet. In beautiful condition. It is 19 1/2” wide, 25” deep, and 52 1/2” high. These filing cabinets were made by The Globe Wernicke Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1899 and sold in 1955. I cannot tell exactly the age of this cabinet, but it has to be before 1955, and the fact that it was owned, at one time, by the U.S. Army Airforce(stamped on the back) might suggest the 1940s? There is a catalog number W-G-45, which might indicate when it was produced, but I haven’t been able to find anything on that. However, if you want to read an interesting history of this company, I found it on Wikipedia, at the bottom of the page under references. In that history it was mentioned that, During the World War II, 90% of Globe-Wernicke's manufacturing facility was used for wartime production. ... moreWing flaps, nacelle doors, tail cones, troop seats, and furniture for ships were the main products. This solid oak cabinet overall is in beautiful condition and looks lovely. It has its original finish and hardware. The drawers all have wooden file dividers and wooden and metal slides. The drawers slide easily. Defects: The bottom drawer has the metal rod. To hold the file divider in place, missing. There are some small chips in the oak veneer- drawer fronts, which I have shown in pictures, and one of the drawers, once closed, falls open about 1/4” Also the bottom of the back has some damage, like maybe water damage, but it is still solid and should never show. The light oak finish, number 3815 1/2 is really rich looking and the grain of the oak is lovely. I have searched online and have found these cabinets selling for $700-900 in the legal size. Since I do not wish to even attempt arranging shipping, I have listed this at a lower price, because it would have to be picked up locally here in Oregon. I would imagine that, at this price, even dealers would be able to make a profit on resale. It looks that good!
