Antique Dovetailed Medical Dental Barber Shop Wood Sterilizer Cabinet Tagsale. Here is a wonderful item to add to your collection. The cabinet has dovetailed corner that is somewhat unusual. As most just have have plain made corners. It is in overall very good used condition. The only real issue or damage that it has is a dent. In the wood, that is on the left side. You can see it in the image below. The dent is about 1/2" long and about 1/8" wide. The paint is chipped a little all the way around it, and that makes it look a little bigger. I don't know the maker or the age. The dovetailed corners suggest that it may be from the early 1900's. Dovetailed corners are a sign of high qaulity craftsmanship as they were more time consuming to make. I have no idea when it was painted. But it is old paint. It doesn't look like ... morefreshly painted. The paint has a few stains scattered around on it. Basically how you see it in the images is how it is going to look when you get it. This woudl make a super nice addition to yoru collection! It has little wood slides that held shelfs. Probably made of glass, but the shelfs are missing. It has some paint chips all scattered all around but no damage to the wood. Except for the dent. The door works good and has a fixture to keep it closed. I am not for sure of the type of wood that was used. But it looks like walnut. The back is looks to be a piece of paneling. Weight: 7.6 lbs unpacked. Vintage Metal Dentist, Doctor or Barber Sterilizer Cabinet with 7 Tools
This is a vintage dentist. Doctor or barber metal sterilizer cabinet with seven tools. This would be great for decorating or to use as a diplay case. It measures 14" wide and 16" tall and from front to back is 9 1/2" The glass is in very good condition. There are three metal shelves inside. It is painted white and there are some scratches from use and some missing paint. Paidar Company from Ch icago Measures 12 1/4 inches wide. 8 inches deep and 1 3 1/2 inches tall. Original antiseptic sterilizer decal on the glass door. Chrome locking handle. 3 glass shelves inside. Quartered oak marble top barber cabinet---14627
This is certainly one of the nicest quartersawn oak barber cabinets I have had. Similar models to this but they are usually smaller. Original marble top with vented drawer fronts on this piece. Note the fancy front decoration. Brass drawer pulls, and the spring loaded hinges for the two lower doors. Overall size of the piece is 26 wide, 15 deep, and 40.5 high. The quarter sawn oak piece has 10 drawers(some of various size) a drop front storage area, two mirrors, and original brass pulls. This is quite an exceptional oak Barber Cabinet from right here in St. Louis Missouri by the August Kern Barber Supply Company! Condition is excellent. Wood is beautiful and I believe the finish to be original. Marble top looks to be original as well with no cracks, just the normal wear on some edges, which is expected. Has the original back which clearly states where it is from. So many times the backs need to be replaced but this one is still very sound and wording is very clear. There is one handle missing but the rest are intact. Springs are sprung on top door but still functional. Measures 39" tall. 22" wide and 13"deep. Stunning Quarter Sewed Oak Barber Cabinet with bunn feet. This is a large one. Measuring approximately 7 foot tall. Has gorgeous textured glass doors and graining in the oak is exceptional. This is quite a nice quarter sawn quartered oak barber shop cabinet. I always look for barber shop items because they tend to be interesting and also high quality. This cabinet has paneled sides and raised paneled doors. Brass hardware including the spring loaded hinges on both doors which assists the door to close(both work well) We have refinished this piece and it has a smooth and even finish and is in excellent condition. Metal & Glass Apothecary Sterilizer Medical Barber Cabinet -possibly WWI WW1 era
RARE! Attention Collectors! This beautiful little metal cabinet. Painted white measures approximately 14” tall x 12-1/2” wide by 8” deep. Inside shelf dimensions are approximately 11” wide by 7” deep of which there are three removable shelves. Glass front, glass sides with metal back. This was made to hang on the wall perhaps even in an ambulance. The hand painted red cross on the front appears to resemble WW I era iron cross or possibly even Royal Red Cross(Britain) The original estate was owned by a barber– perhaps this was an apothecary piece, but we’ll leave the final judgment in your hands as to where this amazing piece originated from. We believe it to be made out of steel or possibly stainless steel but it is HEAVY at 12 lbs. All original hardware with latching system in perfect working order. This is a Barber's Cabinet from before the turn of the Century. Best guess is 1880's. It has been suggested that this one is from Germany- This one appears to be a Golden Oak and some other woods. This is a very nice little quarter-sawn oak Cabinet. I think it quite old. 18" tall. 13" wide, 12" deep. We bought it at an Antique shop years ago. My wife has had this in her barber shop, but is redecorating. Time for some one else to enjoy it. We are not sure why the drawer has been notched. This is how we bought it. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Circa 1920-1930 hanging medicine cabinet of painted wood with a mirror in the door and a metal towel rack hanging underneath. The distinctive towel rack on the bottom makes us think that is was actually from a barber shop. Overall height is 24" Width is 18" depth is 6" The cabinet itself is 17" high with an interior depth of 5" There are three shelves inside, two of the shelves have a lip on the front to prevent things from falling or rolling out. The crystal glass knob on the door is original and so is the mirror. The back section of the wooden gallery on top is a newer piece- obviously since it doesn't have a zillion old coats of paint on it! The silvering on the mirror does have some crazing and wear around the perimeter. This medicine cabinet ... morewas painted many times- once, someone painted right over a razor blade that was lying on the top. It would be a great little project to clean up and use in your own vintage bathroom. It would even work in a kitchen filled with spices and seasonings with a cute kitchen towel hanging below. The towel rod is really clever and opens up like a giant safety pin- I assume that one of those long linen rolls might have been used on it but it makes a nifty way to dispense a roll of paper towels this way.
