This oak 2 drawer library card file box/cabinet measures 16 1/2" x 17" x 7" and the two drawers will hold 5" x 2" index cards. The oak cabinet is in solid condition and has not been refinished and the color od golden oak with some age. It has some ink stains on the top as noted on Photo No. 10. Everything is original and it was made in Rochester New York by Yawman and Erbe. Remnants of the label/sticker is shown on Photo No. 7. The top is removable if you wish to add this to a present stack.

Has the metal or brass pulls one of which is bent and the metal rod running through the inside of the drawer. Has some of the old file holders inside as well. This is a long cabinet measuring appr. 28"L x 15" W x 25" H. The top has some seperation near the front as shown in the photos and some ink stains. On the top near the front there are a couple of tiny spots where the wood is missing where it may have been dovetailed. The inside drawers are dovetailed together. The drips and scuffs give this a nice patina. The drawers also have the metal plates to label the drawer contents. The best way to describe the condition is to view the many photos. This auction is for pick up only) Antique 30 Drawer Oak Library Catalog Card File Cabinet(actually used in a library) 2 Shelves-silver colored(non-magnetic) pulls- Dovetailed- I think it is from around the 1950's or 60's but not sure- The drawer section of the cabinet is in 2 sections, each with 15 drawers, one with the shelves- Height is 55-1/2" The width is 33" depth is 17" The drawer& shelf section without legs is 31-1/4" high; the drawers are 5-1/2" wide- The drawers do not have rods to hold cards in place but the back metal plate slides forward and back- The sides are an oak veneer and some of it has chipped on the bottom edge(see photos) there is some other edge nicks that don't look like veneer, and the drawer fronts don't look like they are but I don't ... morereally know. The dovetails are all still tight. The drawers open smoothly. There is a slight difference in the left drawer, it does not close completely into the opening. About a 1/4 inch to being flush. Hi: For your consideration here is a nice vintage or antique oak Globe Wernicke 2 drawer card file! Measures about 16 1/2" front to back. 16" wide, and 6 5/8" tall. The label holders/pulls are brass with a nice patina. Steel/metal green painted drawers both have the original sliders. File is in good condition with variable wood grain on all sides and between the two drawers. Top(2nd photo) has seen a lot of use with dark marks, a couple nicks/small gouges, and a few shallow stress splits in the top left(facing) corner. Drawers have some light rust and missing some paint as shown in the last four photos. All four metal drawer runners on the inside top are intact. Small red and white label inside reads'City Light CW926' Please note that this file has been cleaned with'Finish Feeder' a high quality beeswax preservative ... moreand wood conditioner. This is an antique Macey tiger oak 2 drawer card file in lovely condition with silver Macey logo on the front. It has one chip out of the back. See pic. It's very strong. The two brass nails that hold the drawer pull plate onto the drawer are missing on one side. I didn't replace them as you might want to remove the hardware for polishing. The unusual pulls really make this file special. Each drawer has wooden stops which move easily back and forth. One drawer has an additional slanted piece of wood against the backside of the front of the drawer on the inside. The other drawer doesn't have that. This auction is for a lot of 2 72 drawer(each- 144 drawers total! library card catalogs in what appears to be solid oak. Each cabinet measures 40.5" wide side to side. 17.5" deep front to back, and 65" tall top to bottom. They are solid and HEAVY! Each cabinet features 3 pull out writing shelves. These two cabinets each have 1 end unfinished. As they were made to be used pushed up next to each other, or the unfinished sides could be used against a wall. These two could be on opposite walls facing each other, for example. There are many possibilities. The base of each cabinet is painted black. All the hardware for cards is in all 144 drawers. There is a water stain(see picture) on top of one of the units. And I figured there was probably a plant up there that got over-watered sometime in its history.
